EXERCISE METHOD AND EXERCISE DEVICE FOR EXERCISING UPPER LEG PORTIONS AND HIPS WHILE PROTECTING KNEE AND ANKLE JOINTS
Provided is an exercise device for performing exercises suitable to strengthen thigh and hip muscles such as a leg press machine, a total hip, a stationary bicycle, or a moving bicycle, and more particularly provides an exercise device for strengthening thigh and hip muscles while protecting the knees and ankle joints by enabling a user to locate a lower end of an arm on the user's thighs in a sitting, prone or supine position and move the user's legs in order to minimize a load or stress added to the knee and ankle joints.
EXERCISE DEVICE
A multipurpose exercise device having a base that rests on a support surface and a user platform upon which the user stands. The lower end of a perpendicular support post is mounted to the base to axially pivot thereon and the upper end of the post is pivotally mounted to the lower surface of the user platform. The user platform pivots with the support post in a horizontal plane parallel to the support surface and pivots on the support post in a vertical plane perpendicular to the horizontal support surface. Resistance elements are provided having one end mounted to the support post and the other end mounted to the base to control the velocity and angle of pivot of the user platform in the horizontal plane. Preferably, a plurality of resistance elements are provided having one end mounted to the base and the other end mounted to the user platform to control the velocity and angle of pivot of the user platform in the vertical plane. In use, the user stands on the user platform and performs exercise motions to propel the user platform to pivot in the horizontal plane and the vertical plane.
MULTI-PLANAR ROTATIONAL PLATFORM AND SUSPENSION EXERCISE DEVICE
An exercise device including a base plate having a generally circular wall extending upwardly therefrom to define a base body having an interior cavity. Spaced apart roller assemblies are disposed within an interior of the base body. A generally convex dome of a motion platform assembly is at least partially disposable within the base body so as to contact the roller assemblies. The motion platform assembly slides, tilts or rotates as force is applied to an upper support platform. A lip of the motion platform assembly may contact a rim of the wall to limit a range of motion of the motion platform assembly. One or more elastic cords extending between the base body and the motion platform assembly provide resistance to motion of the platform assembly.
Multipurpose exercise device for replicating exercise motions for sports and physical therapy
A multipurpose exercise device for replicating exercise motions that has a base on a support surface and a user platform. One end of a support post is axially mounted to the base and the other end is pivotally mounted to the user platform. The platform pivots with the post in a horizontal plane parallel to the support surface and pivots in a vertical plane perpendicular to the support surface. Resistance elements, dampening elements and a linkage system are selectively mounted to the support post and the base to control the velocity and angle of pivot of the platform in the horizontal and vertical plane. Ski and snowboard modules may be mounted to the user platform. The user stands on the platform or modules and performs exercise motions to propel the platform in the horizontal plane and the vertical plane to replicate the exercise motions, e.g., skiing and snowboarding.
Low profile portable exercise machine with dual resistance
An exercise device comprising a foot carriage slidably mounted on tracks, the tracks are held together parallel to one another and dual magnetic and elastic resistance elements provide opposition against the relative motion of the foot carriage. The foot carriage can be a frame carrying wheels and straddle mounted by a frame structure composed of hat shaped beams for which low-profile footrests are pivotally mounted.
Pilates exercise machine
In one aspect of the present exercise machine, an assembly is attached to the end of a reformer, where the assembly comprises a seat mechanism and a pedal mechanism. The seat mechanism has a seat, a bracket supporting the seat, and a height adjustment system, where activation of the height adjustment system permits selective adjustment and locking of the height of the seat and the bracket by restricting travel of the seat and bracket to a slanted path that is slanted relative to the vertical. The pedal mechanism has an axle, a first pedal arm with a first pedal, and a second pedal arm with a second pedal. The pedal mechanism is located stowed beneath the seat when the seat mechanism is in a lowest position and at least partially exposed in a higher position to permit pedaling by the user.
Speed bag type exercise equipment
Exercise equipment includes an arm unit having left and right hand grips. The lateral centerlines of the hand grips are closely spaced together. In use, with the hands on the hand grips, the user revolves the hand grips in a circular motion simulating a speed bag punching type of movement.
BALANCE TRAINING DEVICE
A balance training device is provided. The balance training device may include a rail, a plurality of foot supports slidably coupled to the rail, and at least one balance pad connected to the rail to provide a degree of angular instability. The balance training device may include an adjustment mechanism associated with the rail and each foot support to selectively position each foot support in a desired position along the longitudinal length of the rail. The balance training device may include a base including an adjustable height dimension to provide increasing levels of balance difficulty.
Horizontal rowing machine
The present invention is a horizontal rowing machine having a frame with a removable seat, adjustably mounted on the frame and an adjustable chest pad. The present invention has angled foot plates. The foot plates enable the user to use the machine in various positions. The present invention has two fixed multi-grip handles with 8 fixed hand positions and 6 positions on which to attach swivel handles. The swivel handles allow for a more natural and free form rowing movement. Maximal adjustability of all aspects of the machine allow for a more optimal and beneficial training exercise for any user, regardless of body size. The user can lift a desired weight by pulling the handles.
TRAINING DEVICE FOR SIMULATING SKI MOVEMENTS
A training apparatus/device has a frame (1) and two elongated pedal elements (2, 3), which are pivotally connected to the frame. The pedal elements are each provided with a footrest (4) and a pedal axle (5) and are, by means of a coupling element (10) connected to each other, so that the pedal elements, in use of the training apparatus, are held parallel to each other. Further, the training apparatus has a transmission mechanism (20), which is connected via the coupling element (10) with the pedal elements, as well as resistance mechanism (40), which is connected to the transmission mechanism and is driven by lateral displacement of the pedal elements. The coupling element (10) is formed by an elongated element, whereby near each of the ends of the pedal elements is connected to the pedal element axles via a ball joint. As a result, this makes the training device less susceptible to interference and compact.
