SYSTEM AND PROCESS FOR HYDROGEN COMBUSTION
The invention relates to a system and process for hydrogen combustion for industrial or steam generation applications, and more particularly to a hydrogen combustion burner or retrofit kit combustion system and process using a primary pure hydrogen fuel source. The burner or retrofit kit combustion system and process may also use one or more secondary fuels, such as natural gas, methane, propane, or the like, to reduce emissions of CO.sub.2. Additionally, the inventive burner, system and process can use a flame temperature reducing fluid for lowering the bulk flame temperature of the burner to increase equipment life and decrease equipment failure. The flame temperature reducing fluid can include flue gas recirculation (FGR), water injection, steam injection, and a combination thereof.
Heat generation for separate endothermic process with carbon capture
A method for transferring thermal energy to a separate endothermic process includes: (a) providing a carbon dioxide (CO.sub.2) stream and a carbonaceous fuel to a heater; (b) reacting the carbonaceous fuel in the heater to produce a heated stream; (c) transferring heat from the heated stream to the separate endothermic process; (d) separating the CO.sub.2 stream from the heated stream after (c); and (e) recycling the CO.sub.2 stream to the heater after (d).
PROCESS AND APPARATUS FOR ACID REGENERATION
A process and apparatus for regenerating a spent acid stream or other stream, such as a spent acid stream or other stream containing sulfur, by decomposing the spent sulfuric acid stream and/or other sulfur-containing streams to recover sulfur dioxide from the stream. Also provided is a process for preparing sulfuric acid from the sulfur dioxide recovered by the apparatus and process.
Systems and methods for operation of a flexible fuel combustor
The present disclosure relates to systems and methods that are useful for controlling one or more aspects of a power production plant. More particularly, the disclosure relates to power production plants and methods of carrying out a power production method utilizing different fuel chemistries. Combustion of the different fuel mixtures can be controlled so that a defined set of combustion characteristics remains substantially constant across a range of different fuel chemistries.

FLAME CONTROL IN AN OXYFUEL COMBUSTION PROCESS
The present disclosure provides for improving flame propagation in a combustor, particularly in a combustor for use in a power production system and method. At least one stream being passed into the combustor (e.g., a fuel, an oxidant, a diluent, a coolant, a working fluid, water, or steam) can be independently heated to a temperature that is about the autoignition temperature of the fuel or greater. Further, flame stabilization, including promoting ignition, can be improved as described herein through controlled addition of one or more NOx species into the combustor or combustion chamber.

DOUBLE CHAMBERS BOILER SYSTEM WITH OXYGEN-ENRICHED COMBUSTION
A double chambers boiler system with oxygen-enriched combustion is provided, relating to fields of thermal power engineering and mechanical manufacturing. The double chambers boiler system includes a boiler furnace subassembly and a combustion control subassembly. The boiler furnace subassembly includes a combustion chamber and a heat exchange chamber. The heat exchange chamber is arranged above the combustion chamber. A high temperature flue gas outlet is arranged between the combustion chamber and the heat exchange chamber. The combustion control subassembly includes a burner, a pure oxygen injector and a fuel injector. The double chambers boiler system with oxygen-enriched combustion is able to simultaneously solve problems of improving a combustion efficiency and reducing an emission concentration of NO.sub.x.
Low-NO.SUB.x.-burner
A burner is provided which includes a tile surrounding an opening of the tile extending along a burner axis, the tile including a front side and a rear side, wherein the rear side has an air inlet connected to the opening for feeding air into the opening, and the front side has a discharge outlet connected to the opening for discharging a flame into a surrounding area. The burner includes at least one oxygen lance extending along the burner axis in a first recess of the tile, and the oxygen lance having an ejection nozzle at an end region of the lance for ejecting oxygen, wherein the at least one oxygen lance is mounted with the ejection nozzle positioned along the burner axis to be adjustable between an uppermost position and a lowermost position via a zero-position in between the uppermost position and the lowermost position.
