Improvements to Apparatus and Applications for Magnetic Levitation and Movement Using Offset Magnetic Arrays

Repulsive force created by actuated permanent magnets is used to levitate and transport heavy loads. A bed of permanent magnets is selectively actuated to levitate an array of magnets positioned above the bed, such that the magnets in the levitated array are opposed to the actuated magnets, and of the same magnetic pole, thereby creating a repulsive force. The actuated magnets are vertically offset from magnets in the bed of permanent magnets that have not been raised, thereby imparting maximum levitation forces to the magnets in the levitated array. These systems can levitate and transport objects over level or sloped surfaces, in a straight path or along curves and corners. A bed of magnets can be attached to the floor, or to a set of moving decks that rearrange themselves in a desired path. Our systems can simulate walking or running, similar to a treadmill or virtual gaming platform.

LEG-POWERED TREADMILL

A motor-less leg-powered curved treadmill produced that allows people to walk, jog, run, and sprint without making any adjustments to the treadmill other than shifting the user's center of gravity forward and backwards. A closed loop treadmill belt running between front and rear pulley rollers is formed with a low friction running surface of transverse wooden, plastic or rubber slats attached to each other in a resilient fashion, wherein each transverse slat has at least one continuous fin descending downward therefrom.

Low-floor treadmill

[Problem] This invention provides a smaller size and space-saving low-floor treadmill which is improved in durability of support of the rea roller and which can prevent bending of the rear roller by using smaller sized roller in the rea roller for a moving belt of the low-floor treadmill. [Means to Solve the problem] A low-floor treadmill having a running surface of a moving belt having a lower height from a floor, comprising the moving belt running in an endless manner between a front roller and a rea roller, the moving belt being driven by the front roller which is connected to a driving unit and being pressed down by a pressing roller to form a horizontal running surface, the moving belt being reversed after the rea end of the running surface at the rear roller positioned at a lower level from a floor, the moving belt being returned along the floor back to the front roller, characterized in that a plurality of bearings are arranged inside the rear roller and the bearings are fit in a coaxial spindle, and the rear roller is supported by said bearings to improve durability of the rea roller.

Low noise direct drive treadmill

The invention relates to the treadmill technology, and more particularly to the low noise type direct drive type treadmill. It has solved the technical problems such as large output power loss and large noise. The low noise type direct-drive type treadmill includes a running platform, an endless running belt arranged on the running platform, a rotating roller arranged at one end of the running platform and a tubular motor arranged at the other end. The rotary roller and tubular motor is arranged parallel to each other and provided with a running belt fixed to the running platform between the rotating roller and the tubular motor, the annular running belt is arranged between the rotating roller and the tubular motor and the annular running belt is located on the periphery of the running belt when the tubular motor is operable to drive the endless running belt.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR RESTRICTING TRANSVERSE MOVEMENT OF A TREADMILL BELT

A treadmill includes a frame having a front end and a rear end, substantially opposite the front end; a front shaft assembly coupled to the frame proximate the front end of the frame; a rear shaft assembly coupled to the frame proximate the rear end of the frame; a running belt disposed about the front and rear shaft assemblies; and a bumper coupled to the frame proximate the running belt such that the bumper is disposed between the running belt and the frame. The bumper includes a partially rounded surface and a substantially flat surface. In use, the partially rounded surface and the substantially flat surface of the bumper are configured to selectively engage and restrict movement of the running belt towards at least a portion of the frame.

RUNNING DECK ASSEMBLY AND TREADMILL

A running deck assembly and a treadmill are provided. The running deck assembly includes: a front running deck; a rear running deck, wherein a front end face of the rear running deck is hinged with a rear end face of the front running deck by a hinge, and a hinging gap is located at a location where the front running deck is hinged to the rear running deck; an annular running belt, which is rotatably mounted around the front running deck and the rear running deck with a clearance; and a flexible layer, which is laid on an upper surface of the front running deck and an upper surface of the rear running deck and covers the hinging gap.

PRESSURE CHAMBER AND LIFT FOR DIFFERENTIAL AIR PRESSURE SYSTEM WITH MEDICAL DATA COLLECTION CAPABILITIES

A differential air pressure system has a pressure bag with windows and preferred folding configuration such that when the bag is folded no window is folded. The pressure bag is supported by a lift support that is proximal to a user control panel and adjacent to or nearly adjacent to the user who is coupled to the pressure bag. A treadmill base for use with differential air pressure equipment is provided. There are various improvements provided to adapt the operations of the DAP system via the use of separate pressure volume and non-pressure volume portions of the treadmill base. Various improvements to serviceability and repairs are provided by placement of components outside of the pressure volume portion or by providing one or more pressure volume access points.
