Treadmill with lighted slats
A treadmill having a tread comprising multiple slats is configured to rotate around a front axle and a rear axle of the treadmill, wherein at least one of the multiple slats is a lighted slat. The lighted slat comprises a slat base having an upper surface, a leading edge and an underside. A light is attached to the slat base. The treadmill further comprises a power source for the light.
BODY JOYSTICK FOR INTERACTING WITH VIRTUAL REALITY OR MIXED REALITY MACHINES OR SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS
A system and method for using a body joystick to interact with a virtual or mixed-reality machines or software applications that uses a support arm to hold a device for attaching the body joystick to a user's body, a sensor for detecting movement, and a tether and actuator for providing feedback to the user about interactions with the virtual or mixed-reality machines or software applications.
STABLE TREADMILL SLAT
A motor-less leg-powered curved treadmill produced that allows people to walk, jog, run, and sprint without making any adjustments to the treadmill other than shifting the user's center of gravity forward and backwards. A closed loop treadmill belt running between front and rear pulley rollers is formed with a low friction running surface of transverse aluminum, wooden, plastic, rubber or carbon fiber slats attached to each other in a resilient fashion. An essential feature of treadmill is the concave shape of the upper portion of the belt running surface, the treadmill configurations ensure that this shape is maintained during actual use. These configurations prevent the concave upper running surface portion from being pulled taut into a flat shape between the front and rear pulley rollers. The slats of the treadmill each have an end view crossectional I-beam shape, for strength and stability of the slat positioned upon the treadmill belt.
Physical therapy apparatus and method of use
An apparatus and method for physical therapy includes a base structure, a roller table positioned on the base structure including a plurality of free motion rollers, at least one motor and/or and at least one air compressor connected to the base structure, a plurality of powered rollers or a contact plate located within the base structure being in contact with the plurality of free motion rollers, at least one pneumatic block with a pneumatic piston connected to the at least one air compressor and being configured to raise and lower the power rollers and/or the contact plate, a load cell in communication with the apparatus being configured to measure and record a patient's response to the transition of the roller table and/or the contact plate, and a programmable logic controller.
Treadmill Walking Board Assembly Having Functions of Flow Guidance, Air Exhaust and Heat Dissipation
A treadmill walking board assembly includes a base board, a wear-resistant thin layer located above the base board, and a heatsink elastic layer arranged between the base board and the wear-resistant thin layer. The heatsink elastic layer is provided with a plurality of heat dissipation holes and a plurality of recessed flow channels. The flow channels define a plurality of circulation spaces between the heatsink elastic layer and the base board. The flow channels extend through a side edge of the heatsink elastic layer and are connected to each of the heat dissipation holes. Thus, when the user is stepping on the treadmill walking board assembly and presses the heatsink elastic layer, the hot air is delivered through the heat dissipation holes, the flow channels, and the side edge of the heatsink elastic layer.
VARIABLE-RESISTANCE EXERCISE MACHINE WITH NETWORK COMMUNICATION FOR SMART DEVICE CONTROL AND INTERACTIVE SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS
A variable-resistance exercise machine with network communication for smart device control and interactive software applications, comprising a network interface that receives input from a user device and provides output to a user device; a plurality of moving surfaces that each provide an independent degree of resistance to movement based on received input, a sensor that detects movement and provides output to a user device based on the movement.
Leg-powered treadmill
A motor-less leg-powered curved treadmill produced that allows people to walk, jog, run, and sprint without making any adjustments to the treadmill other than shifting the user's center of gravity forward and backwards. A closed loop treadmill belt running between front and rear pulley rollers is formed with a low friction running surface of transverse aluminum, wooden, plastic, rubber or carbon fiber slats attached to each other in a resilient fashion. Since an essential feature of treadmill is the concave shape of the running surface of belt in its respective upper portion, the treadmill configurations insure that this shape is maintained during actual use. These configurations prevent the concave upper running surface portion from being pulled taut into a flat shape between the front and rear pulley rollers.
Conveyor chain for a stepmill
A conveyor chain which is designed to be used on a stepmill to form into steps on the side interacting with a user, but which can fold into a generally flat configuration when returning to the top of the tread. Each step is designed to be formed of four generally identical segments where both the segments forming the tread and kickplate can fold relative to each other and each of the tread and kickplate can fold at a midpoint between two segments.
APPARATUS FOR HUMAN GAIT MANIPULATION
A treadmill may be configured for gait training and/or therapy with attachable/detachable barriers affixable to a belt and/or with a vertical obstacle module and/or with sensor systems, but without requiring hoists, harnesses, attachments to the treadmill or base, or frame, and/or excessively high treadmill frames, such as those that exceed the height of the person on the treadmill. The barriers on the belt are configured to modify movement of only one foot of a person on the treadmill. The treadmill may use a single, integral belt. Methods of gait training and/or therapy may involve such treadmills without excessive expense and without excessive modification of standard treadmill equipment.
Apparatus for omnidirectional locomotion
An apparatus, e.g. an omnidirectional treadmill, is configured to allow a user to move in an arbitrary direction. The apparatus comprises a platform (1) including a frame with a planar support surface for the user, and a continuous sheet (3) arranged to enclose the frame while extending along the planar support surface so as to define a moveable active surface (5). The apparatus further comprises a drive arrangement arranged in frictional contact with the sheet (3) to drive the sheet (3), and thus the active surface (5), in a given direction (D′) in relation to the planar support surface. The drive arrangement comprises at least three drive units (20) distributed around the frame, each drive unit (20) comprising a drive roller (21) arranged to rotatingly engage the sheet (3) in abutment to a circumferential edge surface (6) of the frame so as to establish the frictional contact with the sheet (3).
