AN APPARATUS FOR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY COMPRISING A REVOLVING BELT
The present invention relates to an apparatus (100, 1001, 1002) for physical activity, comprising: a frame (101); a plurality of rollers (203, 204) rotatably connected to the frame (101); a belt (200) mounted on the plurality of rollers (203, 204) and revolving to define moving belt surfaces (201, 202) comprising: an activity belt surface (201) being configured for physical activity of at least one user (301, 701) and delimited by a side of the frame (101), and a return belt surface (202) being configured for revolving the belt (200) in a never-ending loop; the return belt surface (202) is elevated with respect to the activity belt surface (201).
EXERCISE SYSTEM AND METHOD
A deck for a treadmill includes a continuous track, and a plurality of slats connected to the track. The track and the plurality of slats at least partly define an inner space of the deck, and are rotatable about the inner space. The deck also includes a first motor configured to modify a speed of rotation of the track, and a second motor configured to modify a position of the deck relative to a support surface on which the deck is supported. The first motor and the second motor are disposed within the inner space.
Foldable portable treadmill
The foldable portable treadmill (10) of the present invention includes left and right treadmill sections (12, 14), each having support rollers (20, 22) and an endless belt (24, 26) with bumps (36, 38) on the outer surface thereof. An electric motor (32) drives the belts. A hinge (40, 42) connects the side edges (16, 18) of the treadmill sections together so that they can be folded over each other for storage or transport. Wheels or rollers (84, 86) carried by at least one of the sections allow the treadmill (10) to be rolled across a floor when the sections are folded together. Telescoping handles (66, 68) are movable between an operative position where they extend upwardly from the treadmill sections when they are opened in order to be grasped by a person using the treadmill and an inoperative position where they can be used for transporting the treadmill when it is closed. When the treadmill sections are open for use, the spacing between them can be adjusted.
TREADMILL CONFIGURED TO AUTOMATICALLY DETERMINE USER EXERCISE MOVEMENT
Treadmill configured to automatically determine user exercise movement. In some embodiments, a treadmill may include a deck, a first pulley disposed in the deck, a second pulley disposed in the deck, a tread belt surrounding the first pulley and the second pulley, an electronic sensor incorporated into the treadmill and configured to automatically produce measurement data in response to exercise movement performed by a user over the deck, an electronic console including an electronic display, a processor, and a memory. The memory may include programmed instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to automatically analyze the measurement data produced by the electronic sensor to automatically determine a characteristic of the exercise movement performed by the user over the deck, and automatically present, on the electronic display, an indication of the characteristic of the exercise movement performed by the user over the deck.
Variable-resistance exercise machine with wireless communication for smart device control and interactive software applications
A variable-resistance exercise machine with communication for smart device control and interactive software applications, comprising a network interface that receives input from a user device and provides output to a user device; a plurality of moving surfaces that each provide an independent degree of resistance to movement based on received input and that detect movement and provide output to a user device based on the movement; and a plurality of rigid rails that provide a rigid support for a human user to grasp, and that provide attachment points for a user to affix a variety of devices.
Handrail configuration for a treadmill
A handrail assembly for a treadmill is provided. The handrail assembly includes: a base having a first side and a second side; a first portion extending from the first side of the base; a second portion extending from the second side of the base; and a member coupled to the first portion and the second portion, the member including at least one lower section and at least one upper section. The base defines at least one compartment. At least a part of the member is configured to receive a pushing force from a user during use of the treadmill.
Multilayer Treadmill Walking Board Assembly that Eliminates Static Electricity and Achieves Wearproof and Lubricating Purposes
A multilayer treadmill walking board assembly includes a support board, and a coating secured on a top face of the support board. The coating includes a wear-resistant layer, a lubricating layer, and an antistatic layer. The wear-resistant layer is located between the support board and the lubricating layer. The lubricating layer is located between the wear-resistant layer and the antistatic layer. Thus, the multilayer treadmill walking board assembly has an antistatic function by provision of the antistatic layer, has a lubricating function by provision of the lubricating layer, and has a wear-resistant function by provision of the wear-resistant layer.
TREADMILLS WITH OBSTACLES AND METHODS OF USE
A treadmill may be configured for gait training and/or therapy with attachable/detachable barriers affixable to a belt and/or with a vertical obstacle module and/or with sensor systems, but without requiring hoists, harnesses, attachments to the treadmill or base, or frame, and/or excessively high treadmill frames, such as those that exceed the height of the person on the treadmill. The barriers on the belt are configured to modify movement of only one foot of a person on the treadmill. The treadmill may use a single, integral belt. Methods of gait training and/or therapy may involve such treadmills without excessive expense and without excessive modification of standard treadmill equipment.
EXERCISE MACHINE PLATFORM FOR EMULATION OF REALISTIC MOVEMENT
An exercise machine platform that allows for emulation of the natural movements of real-world modes of transportation in stationary exercise machines such as bicycles, rowing machines, elliptical machines, and treadmills. The exercise machine platform comprises a base with one or more powered lifting mechanisms, a frame supported by the lifting mechanisms of the base which allows for roll, pitch, and/or vertical displacement movements, and a rocker plate supported by the frame that allows for additional independent movement from the roll, pitch, and/or vertical displacement movements of the frame. A dampening system controls the additional independent movement between the frame and rocker plate.
MOTORIZED TREADMILL WITH MOTOR BRAKING MECHANISM AND METHODS OF OPERATING SAME
A treadmill includes a frame; a running belt configured to move relative the frame; and a motor coupled to the running belt. The motor is operable in a plurality of user controlled operating modes. In a first operating mode, the force of rotation of the running belt is provided by a user of the treadmill. In a second operating mode, the motor applies a desired braking force to resist rotation of the running belt. In a third operating mode, the motor applies a torque output to the running belt based on a force exerted on the running belt by a user of the treadmill.
