SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TARGETED NEUROLOGICAL THERAPY USING BRAINWAVE ENTRAINMENT WITH PASSIVE TREATMENT
A system and method for targeted neurological therapy using a primary task and a plurality of associative activities, wherein the associative activities provide social engagement as a therapeutic element. The system and method receive various biometric data associated with an individual performing a multiple-task stimulation therapy regimen, computes a performance score for the individual, and makes adjustments to the therapy regimen based on the performance score. In some implementations, the system is supported by one or more machine learning predictive models configured to generate therapy regimen adjustment recommendations.
EXERCISE TREADMILL
A treadmill has a front or rear set of pulleys and a looped running belt. The pulleys rotate with the movement of the belt, e.g., when a user walks, jogs, or runs on the treadmill. The pulleys are mounted on a rotating roller tube so that the roller tube rotates with the pulleys. The roller tube is mounted on a stationary shaft using bearings on each side and a one-way device that allows the pulleys to rotate in one direction. The rotation direction corresponds to the movement of the top of the belt from the front to the rear of the treadmill. The one-way device prevents the pulleys from rotating in the opposite direction, preventing the top of the belt from moving from the rear of the treadmill to the front. The one-way device may be a sprag clutch. The treadmill may be a motor-less, curved treadmill.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR EVALUATION, DETECTION, CONDITIONING, AND TREATMENT OF NEUROLOGICAL FUNCTIONING AND CONDITIONS
A system and method for evaluation, detection, conditioning, and treatment of neurological functioning and conditions which uses data obtained while a person is engaged in simultaneously in a range of primary physical tasks combined with defined types of associative activity, such as listening, reading, speaking, mathematics, logic puzzles, navigation of a virtual environment, recall of past stimuli, etc. The data from the physical and associative activities are combined to generate a composite functioning score visualization indicating the relative functioning of areas aspects of neurological functioning; including those in which deficiencies may be present, which are early indicators of possible neurological conditions. Through algorithmic recommendations combined with expert and user input, a conditioning regimen targeting neurological aspects of interest paired with periodic testing allows the user to track their progress in these areas over time.
APPARATUS FOR NATURAL TORSO AND LIMBS TRACKING AND FEEDBACK FOR ELECTRONIC INTERACTION
An apparatus for natural torso and limbs tracking and feedback for electronic interaction with fall safety support. The apparatus comprises a body harness worn on the body of a user, a support structure designed to bear the weight of the user in the event of a stumble, trip, or fall, and a plurality of tethers attached at one end to the harness and at the other end to the support structure. One or more sensors are integrated into the system to measure aspects of the user's movement and used as input to control a computer system. In the event of stumble, trip, or fall, all of, or a portion of, the user's body weight is borne by the tethers as a safety mechanism to prevent injury. The system is designed to be used with virtual reality systems wherein the user's vision is blocked or obscured by a virtual reality visor.
Foldable Portable Treadmill
The foldable portable treadmill (10) of the present invention includes left and right treadmill sections (12, 14), each having support rollers (20, 22) and an endless belt (24, 26) with bumps (36, 38) on the outer surface thereof. An electric motor (32) drives the belts. A hinge (40, 42) connects the side edges (16, 18) of the treadmill sections together so that they can be folded over each other for storage or transport. Wheels or rollers (84, 86) carried by at least one of the sections allow the treadmill (10) to be rolled across a floor when the sections are folded together. Telescoping handles (66, 68) are movable between an operative position where they extend upwardly from the treadmill sections when they are opened in order to be grasped by a person using the treadmill and an inoperative position where they can be used for transporting the treadmill when it is closed. When the treadmill sections are open for use, the spacing between them can be adjusted.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR RANGE OF MOTION ANALYSIS AND BALANCE TRAINING WHILE EXERCISING
A system and method for range of motion analysis while exercising, including methods for constructing user movement profiles based on repeated and typical user movements during exercises as are typical for an adult of a user's age, weight, etc., and capable of warning a user of unhealthy, unsafe, or anomalous movement patterns during exercise, using a balance trainer, range of motion analyzer, and a plurality of sensors in conjunction with an exercise device, in an effort to reduce health risks to users during exercise with an enhanced or mixed reality exercise device.
Manually powered treadmill with variable braking resistance
A treadmill includes a frame; a plurality of bearings coupled to the frame; a running belt at least partially supported by the plurality of bearings and adapted for rotational movement relative to the frame, the running belt having a running surface, at least a portion of which is curved; a braking system configured to selectively resist rotation of the running belt; a support element coupled to the frame; and a safety device coupled to the running belt. The safety device is at least partly supported by the support element. The running belt freely rotates in a first direction of rotation relative to the frame, however, in a second direction of rotation, opposite the first direction of rotation, engagement between the support element and at least a portion of the safety device substantially prevents rotation the running belt relative to the frame.
STEP-COUNTING TREADMILL
A step-sensing treadmill includes a frame assembly includes a lower frame securely mounted on a ground, a controller electrically connected to a dashboard and two step-sensing units each of which is mounted between the walking belt assembly and a left side or a right side of the lower frame of the frame assembly, and is collaborated with the controller to continuously sense a voltage variation caused by user's movement on walking belt relative to the walking belt in a motionless state. When the first voltage variation is greater than a predetermined voltage variation threshold, the controller determines that one user's left or right step on the walking belt is made, and increments a left or right step number by one. The left and right step numbers can be used to further calculate calorie burned, and determine exercising conditions of the user during an exercise activity.
Physical therapy apparatus and method of use
An apparatus and method for physical therapy includes a base structure, a roller table positioned on the base structure including a plurality of free motion rollers, at least one motor connected to the base structure, a plurality of powered rollers located within the base structure being in removable contact with the plurality of free motion rollers and connected to the at least one motor, a lifting mechanism located within the base structure and connected to the at least one motor and being configured to raise and lower the roller table, a load cell in communication with the apparatus being configured to measure and record a patient's response to the transition of the roller table, and a programmable logic controller in communication with the at least one motor and the load cell being configured to control the transition of the apparatus between the first mode and the second mode.
