The system and method receive a neurological assessment identifying areas of the brain or neurological functions to be treated, select one or more treatment modalities and frequencies, select a treatment regimen, and apply brainwave entrainment using the modalities, frequencies and regimen while the subject engages in dual-task activities selected to stimulate the areas of the brain, neurological functions, or neurological states to be treated, enhanced, or altered.
Multi-modality therapeutic stimulation using virtual objects and gamification
A system and method for therapeutic stimulation using virtual objects and gamification, in which multi-modality stimulus is applied using some combination of virtual elements, attention is enhanced by virtue of the user's active participation, and long-term use is encouraged by virtue of the entertaining nature of the gamification. Depending on configuration, the system and method may comprise a display comprising virtual objects, a light-producing device (other than the display), an audio-producing device such as speakers or headphones, a haptic feedback device such as a vibratory motor, a means for monitoring the user's attention, and a software application which applies therapeutic stimulation using some combination of the display, the light-producing device, the audio-producing device, and the haptic feedback device.

A method, apparatus, or system for reducing gait asymmetry is disclosed. The method, apparatus, or system may include measuring one or more gait parameters of an individual; calculating a joint metric based on the measured one or more gait parameters; and signaling an adjustment of an amount of one or more perturbation techniques based on the joint metric for reducing asymmetry in a gait pattern of the individual. The one or more perturbation techniques include asymmetric rhythmic auditory cueing making a first audible cue with a first cue duration for one leg of the individual and a second audible cue with a second cue duration for another leg of the individual. Here, the first cue duration is different from the second cue duration. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

A treadmill may include two separate left and right belts rotating around two sets of rollers, four legs having an adjustable height via air suspension to customize an inclination of the treadmill, a thermoelectric assembly, a fragrance assembly having a rotating fragrance cartridge to emit various smells toward a user of the treadmill, a display on which exercise programs are played, and an attachment module having a dispensing tray on which treats are dispensed. A handle of the treadmill may have a sensor to sense a height and front-rear position, and a belt divider provided between the left and right belts may have position or proximity sensors to sense a left-right position. An inclination of the treadmill may be automatically adjusted according to positions detected by the sensors, and the fragrance assembly, attachment module, and inclination may be automatically operated in accordance with an exercise program played on the display.

A system and method for providing neurological function analysis and treatment to a person using virtual reality systems. The system and methods comprise a data capture system that receives, fuses, and integrates sensor data from various sensors, a virtual reality engine which uses the integrated sensor information to generate an environmental model and a tracking model, and a therapeutic engine which can assess both the cognitive and physical condition the person, determine a training regime based on the assessment, and apply therapies while the person is engaged in a virtual reality environment. The training regimen can comprise brainwave entrainment and/or dual-task stimulation via virtual elements. In some embodiments, a medical professional may engage with the person in the virtual reality environment.

A system and method for evaluation, detection, conditioning, and treatment of neurological functioning and conditions which uses data obtained while a person is engaged in simultaneously in a range of primary physical tasks combined with defined types of secondary activity, such as listening, reading, speaking, mathematics, logic puzzles, navigation of a virtual environment, recall of past stimuli, etc. The data from the physical and secondary activities are combined to generate a composite functioning score visualization indicating the relative functioning of areas aspects of neurological functioning; including those in which deficiencies may be present, which are early indicators of possible neurological conditions. Through algorithmic recommendations combined with expert and user input, a conditioning regimen targeting neurological aspects of interest paired with periodic testing allows the user to track their progress in these areas over time.
