METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING THE OPERATION OF A BURNER
20170003024 · 2017-01-05 · ·

A method for controlling the operation of a burner, the burner including a control board with a first control unit and a first memory, which stores first values of operating parameters of the burner, and a display device, which displays one or more items of data relating to the functioning of the burner, the display device including a second memory, which stores second values of operating parameters of the burner, each first and second operating parameters being capable of being changed over time. The method includes setting for each operating parameter at least one first value in the first memory, and at least one second value in the second memory; comparing, for each operating parameter, a corresponding first value and second value; if the first value and the second value are different, changing one of the first or second values, so that the first and second values are the same.

METHOD OF AND CONTROL SYSTEM FOR MONITORING A PROCESS OF CIRCULATION OF SOLID MATERIAL IN A CIRCULATING FLUIDIZED BED REACTOR

A method of monitoring circulation of solid material in a circulating fluidized bed reactor including a reaction chamber, at least one solid material separator, and a return path between the separator and the chamber. The method includes selecting process variables of the process of circulating of solid material in the return path, and selecting performance indicators of the process of circulation of solid material amongst the selected process variables for each performance indicator of the process of circulation of material, creating a multivariate model for each performance indicator, using history data of the process variables and the performance indicators, determining a modelled value of the performance indicators, by applying current measured values of the process variables to the multivariate model, and comparing the modelled value of each performance indicator to a respective measured value and inspecting a presence of an anomaly between the modelled value and the respective measured value.

Burner control system

A burner control system for controlling the operation of a fuel burner arranged to burn a combination of a supply of fuel and a supply of air is provided. The burner control system is arranged to receive from an exhaust gas analyzer one or more signals, each signal being indicative of the level of an exhaust gas emitted by the fuel burner; receive from a photodetector a signal indicative of a level of electromagnetic radiation output by the flame of the fuel burner; and control at least one of the supply of fuel and the supply of air to the burner based on the one or more signals received from the exhaust gas analyzer and the signal received from the photodetector.
