MONITORING THE POSTURE OF A USER
Embodiments of the invention are directed to computer-implemented methods, computer systems, and computer program products for monitoring the ergonomics of a user. A non-limiting example method includes capturing a reference image of the user using an image capture device. The method further includes determining a first height of an object of interest of the user using the reference image of the user. The method further includes capturing a subsequent image of the user using the image capture device. The method further includes determining a second height of the object of interest of the user using the subsequent image of the user. Based at least in part on determining that the second height is not within a first tolerance of the first height, causing the issuance of a warning that the user is not within an optimal distance from the image capture device.

The fitness equipment terminal includes a movable member and a damping device for controlling the damping intensity of the movable member, and also includes a travel tracking module for feeding back motion data of the damping device and a control module for controlling the damping device. The damping device includes an electromagnetic induction assembly. A fitness system is also disclosed.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR RECORDING MOVEMENT IN A CONTINUOUS AREA
A device for recording movement and/or posture in a continuous area comprising an elastic therapeutic tape substrate for application to a body part, the tape substrate comprising an elastic two dimensional conductor along which an electrical current can flow to produce deformation data comprising change in resistance and/or capacitance as the elastic two dimensional conductor changes geometry in response to movement is described. The device may further comprise a data collection unit which receives the deformation data. Also described are a method and system for recording movement and/or posture in a continuous area comprising applying the elastic therapeutic tape substrate to a body part and producing deformation data comprising change in resistance and/or capacitance as the elastic two dimensional conductor changes geometry in response to movement to thereby record the movement in the continuous area.
System and method for identifying and correcting muscular and skeletal disbalances through exercise
A method for identifying and correcting muscular and skeletal disbalances through exercise includes recording, by a processor, using at least one sensor coupled to the processor, an exercise motion performed by a user, identifying, by the processor, a motion deficiency of the user based on the detected exercise motion, formulating, by the processor, a corrective motion based on the detected motion deficiency, and providing, by the processor, the corrective motion to the user, which also includes identifying motion deficiencies as far as range of motion, balance, symmetry, smoothness, strength, stamina and other motion characteristics, formulating corrective exercise program that involves multiple training machines, formulating exercises in terms of number of repetitions, cadence (frequency) or motion, range of motion, added resistance levels, communicating the corrective exercise program via the screen embedded on each machine, and guiding the user through each exercise, directing user to change exercise machines.
Systems for simultaneously contracting body core muscles and a computerised instructional unit for facilitating same
An exercise apparatus for exercising muscles of a user comprising a main body, an abdominal crunch exercise member pivotally attached to the main body, the abdominal crunch member configured to engage an upper body area of a user, an abdominal contact member attached to the main body, the abdominal contact member configured to engage an abdominal area of user; and an electronic vibration unit capable of causing a portion of the apparatus to vibrate.
CHEST EXPANDER
A chest expander comprises a shell, a rotating shaft, a winding storage wheel, an elastic member, and a pull strap, further comprises a resistance adjustment mechanism, and the resistance adjustment mechanism comprises a resistance wheel, an arc-shaped base strap, and a friction plate, wherein the resistance wheel is arranged on the rotating shaft, the arc-shaped base strap is arranged opposite to a peripheral surface of the resistance wheel, and the friction plate is arranged on an inner surface of the arc-shaped base strap and is in frictional contact with the peripheral surface of the resistance wheel; and one end of the arc-shaped base strap is fixedly connected to the shell, and the other end is movable and adjustable to adjust friction between the friction plate and the resistance wheel. the utility model employs purely mechanical adjustment, which achieves a simpler structure and can greatly reduce costs.
Thoracic stabilizer
The invention provides an exercise device for strengthening muscles in the scapula-thoracic region. The device enables simulated weight-bearing action for the upper limb while maintaining good postural form. The device can also be used to provide feedback on good postural form. The exercise device comprises a spine contact member (26) to be positioned at the thoracic curve of a person (10), and two rigid planar members (28) which extend laterally from the spine contact member (26). The rigid planar members (28) are positioned over the scapulae of the person (10). The spine contact member (26) and associated rigid planar members (28) are held in position by straps (30) which pass over and under the shoulders of the person (10).
Body exercise device
A body exercise device includes a seat portion having a seat face, a pair of left and right airbags and a pair of front and rear airbags causing the seat face of the seat portion to be left-right and front-rear inclined, and an air supply unit that supplies pressurized air to the airbags. An air supply/discharge switching unit switches between supplying air to and discharging air from the airbags, and a pressure detection unit detects pressure in the airbags. A balance determination unit, in a process of supplying air to or discharging air from the right and left or front and rear airbags according to the switching operation of the air supply/discharge switching unit, determines the left-right or front-rear balance state of the user based on a difference in pressure change in the pair of left and right airbags or the pair of front and rear airbags.
PROPRIOCEPTIVE FEEDBACK ASSIST DEVICE AND ASSOCIATED METHOD
A device for facilitating or enhancing proprioceptive feedback during breathing and related exercises includes a user attachment component attachable to a user about the thorax. Two elongate tensile members are connected at proximal ends to the user attachment component at points essentially just below the armpits of a user. These two elongate tensile members are connectable at their distal ends to the feet of the user. Another two tensile members are connected at their proximal ends to a back portion or strap of the harness and at their distal ends to or about the user's hands.
