The device includes a bolus delivery cylinder and a plunger. The bolus delivery cylinder can include a cylindrical housing having a peripheral wall and a hollow interior. The plunger can be slidably received in the cylindrical housing and secured thereto. In some embodiments the peripheral wall can be perforated. The interior of the housing is configured to accommodate small pieces of food. The bolus delivery cylinder can be made from a transparent, flexible material, such as silicon.

In use, a patient places and bites down upon the mouthpiece stabilizer, places a portion of their lips along a contoured portion of one or more of the flexor arms, and pushes their lips toward the center of the flexor head connector against the resistance of the flexor arm(s). When done at regular intervals and increasing resistances, the apparatus can strengthen a patient's facial muscles and bone and reduce the cosmetic appearance of wrinkles on their face.

Embodiments of the innovation relate to a jaw range of motion device that includes a conical base having a first end and a second end and a helical ridge carried by the conical base and disposed between the first end and the second end. The helical ridge and the conical base define a channel between adjacent helical ridge portions. The jaw range of motion device also includes a handle disposed at the second end of the conical base. When a user inserts the jaw range of motion device between his teeth, the user can apply a self-directed manual force to the device by generating a twisting motion on the handle to provide an incremental jaw range of motion.

TONGUE STRENGTHENING DEVICE

Disclosed is a tongue strengthening device that includes a handle on one end and a bulb structure on the other end. The bulb is resiliently flexible, and enables a user to exercise their tongue by repeatedly compressing and releasing the bulb. Provided is a system or kit that includes multiple tongue strengthening devices having different compression specifications that allow a patient to graduate to devices which are harder to compress as the patient gains tongue strength.
