Universal housing for a hot surface igniter
Herein disclosed is universal housing for a hot surface igniter that can be removed and/or easily installed by the consumer without the need for numerous tools or assistance from experienced maintenance personnel. The igniter housing is universal and is functional for use with substantially any apparatus or device which requires a hot surface igniter. The universal housing is of simple construction formed from only two components. Various embodiments are disclosed for construction of the two components and also various attachment means are described.
IGNITION DEVICE, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME, IGNITION METHOD AND ROCKET COMBUSTION SYSTEM
The present disclosure is directed to an ignition device including a housing, a bulk fuel, and at least two lead wires as electrodes. The bulk fuel is made of a plastic material, such as polylactic acid (PLA) or epoxy resin. The bulk fuel contains an internally dispersed powdery conductive material, thereby obtaining a conductive solid fuel. One end of the lead wire is partially embedded in the bulk fuel. The other end of the lead wire is connected to a power source. A portion of the bulk fuel is gasified by energizing the lead wire, and the gasified fuel is combusted by reaction with an oxidant.
Combustion system and method for electrically assisted start-up
A combustion system includes a combustion fluid charge source and a start-up flame holder configured to attract the charge and hold a flame when the combustion system is cool and allow the flame to lift when the combustion system is warmed up.

Ceramic heater and manufacturing method thereof
A ceramic heater including a columnar substrate and a heat generation resistor embedded in the substrate. A taper surface (12) having a contour L1 extending along an imaginary ellipse E is composed of a plurality of successively arranged curved surfaces which decrease in radius of curvature toward the forward end with respect to the direction of an axis P. The taper surface (12) is such that the distance between the end points M1 and M2 of the contour L1 is large in the direction of the axis P, and the angle between the axis P and a tangential line of the contour L1 on the side toward the forward end surface (11) is larger than the angle between the axis P and a tangential line of the contour L1 on the side toward the side circumferential surface (15).
IGNITION DEVICE USING PELLET FUEL
The present invention relates to an ignition device using pellet fuel capable of quickly igniting and burning the pellet fuel, which is supplied into an inner container, and including a container part having the inner container in which the pellet fuel is accommodated while being dropped therein and an outer container of which an upper part is integrally provided with an outer side of the inner container, a heater bar provided at a lower part of the container part and configured to ignite the pellet fuel while being heated by electrical energy, and a cover provided at an inner bottom of the inner container and configured to cover the heater bar.
Glow plug
The invention relates to a glow plug comprising a housing, a ceramic pencil-type glow element which projects from the housing with a first end and is arranged inside the housing with a second end, a feed line which is arranged in the housing and leads to the pencil-type glow element, and a sleeve-type element which surrounds a section of the pencil-type glow element projecting from the housing. The invention is characterized in that the pencil-type glow element has a section surrounded by the housing which section tapers towards the second end, the pencil-type glow element is encircled by a contact element in the housing, which contact element has a section that narrows towards the second end of the pencil-type glow element, said narrowing section encircling at least a subsection of the tapered section of the pencil-type glow element. The invention further relates to a method for producing said glow plug.
GLOW PLUG
Described is a glow plug having a casing and a ceramic glow pin protruding out of the casing. The glow pin has a tapered end section inside the casing. A metal protective tube protrudes out of the casing and surrounds the glow pin. The protective tube has a widened end section inside the casing. A center electrode is arranged in the casing and electrically connected to the glow pin. The glow plug includes an annular or sleeve-shaped contact element through which the glow pin projects and to which the tapered end section of the glow pin is soldered. The contact element is at least partly surrounded by the widened end section of the protective tube.
