A system and method is disclosed for a surround-perspective motion annotation comprising: an image/video input for capturing and/or parsing into at least one image frame of a subject performing at least one motion from each of at least three perspectives; a vector generating module for generating a test vector or wire mesh corresponding to a pose of the subject in each of the captured/parsed frame from each of the perspectives; and an annotation module for inputting a drawing imposed on the test vector/mesh for a visual contrast against any one of a feature from the test vector/mesh from any one of the perspectives. Further disclosed embodiments include for a system and method for generating multi-perspective, color-coded deviations of a subject from a reference (color wheel). Further embodiments include for a system and method for generating an optimal motion signature (OMS) for the subject based on his or her generated color wheel.
Apparatus, systems, and methods for gathering and processing biometric and biomechanical data
Apparatus, systems, and methods are provided for measuring and analyzing movements of a body and for communicating information related to such body movements over a network. In certain embodiments, a system gathers biometric and biomechanical data relating to positions, orientations, and movements of various body parts of a user performed during sports activities, physical rehabilitation, or military or law enforcement activities. The biometric and biomechanical data can be communicated to a local and/or remote interface, which uses digital performance assessment tools to provide a performance evaluation to the user. The performance evaluation may include a graphical representation (e.g., a video), statistical information, and/or a comparison to another user and/or instructor. In some embodiments, the biometric and biomechanical data is communicated wirelessly to one or more devices including a processor, display, and/or data storage medium for further analysis, archiving, and data mining. In some embodiments, the device includes a cellular telephone.

A system (100) for training a subject such that the subject includes an input unit (102) having a number of sensors (112) that are configured to detect a number of physiological parameters of a user. A processing unit (104) is configured to receive the number of physiological parameters for comparing the number of physiological parameters with a set of predefined physiological parameters to generate a baseline signal (116A). An output unit (106) is configured to generate an instruction signal (118A) upon receipt of the baseline signal (116A) and a regulating unit (108) that is configured to regulate a speed of a game associated with a gamification engine (110) and a speed of an exercising apparatus (200) upon receipt of the instruction signal (118A).
DISTORTION DISPLAY APPARATUS, METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
A distortion display apparatus includes a distortion recording section and a distortion display section. The distortion recording section records the distortion of a golf club shaft during swinging in a first direction and a second direction at each time point when the distortion is measured. The distortion display section displays the distortion with a horizontal axis representing one of the first direction and the second direction and a vertical axis representing the other. The first direction is a direction in which a golf ball is hit by swinging the golf club. The second direction is a direction orthogonal to the shaft and the first direction.

The present disclosure relates to a system for providing real-time performance feedback on a rowing machine, the rowing machine comprising a load unit 1 coupled to a support track, a seat 5 slidably coupled to the support track for supporting a rower, a handle 3 coupled to the load unit arranged to move relative to the load unit by a pulling action on the handle, and a foot stretcher 4 coupled to the support track arranged to receive a pushing action thereon, the system comprising: a first sensor 13 configured to measure a first parameter indicative of the pulling action on the handle; a second sensor 11 configured to measure a second parameter indicative of the pushing action received by the foot stretcher; and a data processing unit, DPU, configured to determine a relationship between the pulling action on the handle and the pushing action received by the foot stretcher based on the first parameter and the second parameter.
AUGMENTED IMAGE ADJUSTMENT OF USER BASED ON POSSIBLE ACTIONS OR NON-ACTIONS
Methods and systems are provided for augmenting image content presented on a mirror display. The method includes detecting images of a user in an activity volume in front of the mirror display; the detecting includes identifying a body of the user and tracking movements by the user while in the activity volume. The method includes receiving a request to predict a change in physique of the body of the user, the request includes input parameters that identify a physical exercise and an amount of said physical exercise. The method includes generating an augmented image of the body of the user; the augmented image of the body has said change in physique, the change in physique of the body is assembled from one or more three-dimensional (3D) models of one or more body parts of the body that have been adjusted in shape. The method includes presenting, on the mirror display, the augmented image of the body of the user as a video overlay over images of the user captured when the user is in the activity volume; the presenting is responsive to processing said request to predict the change in physique of the body of the user. In this way, when a user is provided with an augmented image of what the body of the user may look like at a point in the future, the user may be encouraged to continue with their physical fitness regimen and dietary program so that the user can achieve their fitness goals.
Systems and methods for measuring and/or analyzing swing information
In a first aspect, a method for monitoring a golf swing is provided that includes coupling a mobile telephone to a golf club and employing the mobile telephone coupled to the golf club to monitor acceleration of the mobile telephone as the mobile telephone swings while a user swings the golf club, collect acceleration information based on the monitored acceleration of the mobile telephone as the mobile telephone swings, analyze the collected acceleration information to determine one or more characteristics of the golf swing based on the collected acceleration information, and output information regarding the one or more characteristics of the golf swing on the display of the mobile telephone. Video rebroadcasting with multiplexed communications and display via smart mirrors
During a first time period and for a first user, a second user is automatically selected based on competitive data of the first user and competitive data of the second user, and a workout selection is sent to cause a video of a workout to be displayed during a second time period on a smart mirror of the first user and a smart mirror of the second user. During the second time period, a live stream of the first user exercising is displayed at the smart mirror of the second user, and a live stream of the second user exercising is received and displayed at the smart mirror of the first user. During the second time period, a performance score of the first user and a performance score of the second user is displayed at the smart mirrors of the first user and the second user.
SWING ANALYSIS DEVICE
Proposed is a swing analysis device which includes a measurement unit which is coupled to a golf club of a user, and is configured to continuously measure motion data during swing motions of the golf club, an analysis unit configured to analyze the motion data continuously measured by the measurement unit to generate a swing analysis value, and a communication unit configured to transmit the swing analysis value generated by the analysis unit to a user terminal. According to the swing analysis device, as a swing analysis value generated based on motion data of the golf club is transmitted to a user terminal, the swing analysis value can be directly output by an application program installed in the user terminal without analyzing the motion data thus to greatly improve the reaction speed of the application program.
REFLECTIVE VIDEO DISPLAY APPARATUS FOR INTERACTIVE TRAINING AND DEMONSTRATION AND METHODS OF USING SAME
An interactive exercise method includes streaming exercise content to an interactive video system for display via a mirror, the exercise content including a depiction of an instructor performing a repetitive movement. A video stream of a user performing the repetitive movement is received, via a camera of the interactive video system, and the user is detected in the video stream. The user or a body portion thereof is tracked in the video stream as the user performs the repetitive movement. The method also includes generating a measure of a difference between a form of the user performing the repetitive movement and a predetermined form for the repetitive movement. A corrective movement is displayed to the user, via the display and during the display of the instructor performing the repetitive movement, based on the measure, to conform the form of the user to the predetermined form for the repetitive movement.
