Information processing device, information processing method, and computer program
There is provided an information processing device, an information processing method, and a computer program capable of more reliably recognizing positions of a plurality of detection targets. The information processing device includes a control unit for recognizing positions of a first detection target and a second detection target that are present on the same surface. The control unit recognizes the position of the first detection target based on sensing data obtained by a first sensor for sensing the first detection target from a first direction, and recognizes the position of the second detection target based on sensing data obtained by a second sensor for sensing the second detection target from a direction opposite to the first direction across the same surface.
Ground drone-based sports training aid
A ground traversing, electrically driven drone travels along a programmed path that corresponds to pass catcher's travel path during a play, matching the pass catcher's speed and run cuts. The play is wirelessly communicated to the drone by a handheld electronic device located remote of the drone. A target is located on the drone so that a quarterback can throw a football at the target in order to refine the quarterback's timing and accuracy for the play. Sensors located remote of the drone track both the football's and quarterback's speed and travel trajectories so that such data can be collected, along with the drone's travel path, and transmitted to the computer and eventually fed into 3-D reconstruction software for analysis by the quarterback and coaching staff. The target rotates so that the target either faces in a fixed direction or constantly faces the quarterback during execution of drone's maneuvers.
Shuffleboard scoring system
A scoring system is disclosed for a shuffleboard table 2 having a sliding surface 4 on which a puck 6 can be thrown. A camera 26 is arranged to point in a direction 28 that is angled relative to the normal 30 of the sliding surface 4. A puck 6 can be thrown and a computer 32 can detect a moving object within a throwing zone 16. The computer 32 analyses whether the detected moving object corresponds to a valid puck. When all pucks are stationary on the sliding surface 4 the computer 32 can calculate a score.
Golf Ball Analytic Measurement Device and Method
A system for measuring golf ball trajectory characteristics is disclosed. The system includes artificial grass with a launch location for a golf ball and a plurality of wide-angle distance optical sensors mechanically connected to the artificial grass positioned such that a field of measurement of each wide-angle distance optical sensors intersects. The system also includes a central processing unit connected to the wide-angle distance optical sensors, the central processing unit configured to collect distance measurements from the wide-angle distance optical sensors and to determine a velocity of a trajectory of the golf ball from the launch location to the intersection of the field of measurement of each wide-angle distance optical sensors given a distance between the plurality of the wide-angle distance optical sensors, a distance between the plurality of the wide-angle distance optical sensors and the launch location, and the distance measurements from the plurality of the wide-angle distance optical sensors. Once the velocity of the trajectory of the golf ball is determined, the central processing unit transmits the velocity to a display.
Annular multimedia stadium goalpost and multipurpose target display system
An annular multimedia stadium goalpost and multipurpose target display system. The system includes a rear support-and-multimedia assembly for supporting the net and producing audible and visual effects. The system also includes a at least one annular frame and a primary projector. The rear support-and-multimedia assembly includes a support assembly and a multimedia bar system. The support assembly maintains the annular frame and the multimedia bar system in an orientation that facilitates playing sports and projecting information. The multimedia bar system includes a plurality of lights, a plurality of first speakers, a plurality of sponsor display panels, a retractably screen assembly, and a retractably underground projector in order to audible and visually convey content regarding the sports game and advertisements to the audience. The system also includes an annular display, and a multitude of rangefinder laser-detector video cameras to track, record, and present gameplay live.
Basketball architecture
A basketball goal system comprising a backboard assembly and suspension frame affixed to the back surface, a suspension structure connected to the suspension frame of the backboard and a goal indication system which interfaces to at least one of the suspension structure or backboard to cause an indication (of various colors) to be presented via the suspension system and/or the backboard which indication relates to the shot points associated with a shot attempted at the goal. The goal indication system causes presentation of a cue on a front surface of the backboard, which cue is of a color corresponding to shot points. The backboard elements and light emission of the suspension frame can be controlled synchronously or asynchronously.
SPORTS EQUIPMENT WITH ALTERABLE CHARACTERISTIC
Articles of sports equipment, such as striking implements (e.g., sticks) and wearable articles (e.g., skates, helmets) for playing hockey or other activities, in which at least one of the characteristics (e.g., stiffness) of the articles of sports equipment is adaptable and can be altered during use of the sports equipment, such as by comprising an alterable component coupled to a controller, by comprising an alterable component that is autonomously alterable, and/or by an alterable component that can be altered in response to a command of a remote device.
BALL POSITION IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM, BALL POSITION IDENTIFICATION METHOD AND INFORMATION STORAGE MEDIUM
A shot identifying module 220 identifies a flight distance of the golf ball and an angle of a direction from the measurement terminal 10 toward the golf ball with respect to a direction toward which the user terminal 10 is directed at a time of the measurement. A terminal position and orientation identifying module 222 identifies a terminal position and a terminal orientation. A ball position identifying module 224 identifies a ball position based on the terminal position, the terminal orientation, the flight distance of the golf ball, and the angle.
GOLF BALL IMAGING FOR GOLF ENTERTAINMENT VENUE
Golf entertainment venues with a computing system configured to optically identify and track graphical images located on golf balls hit by players. The graphical image located on a golf ball can be associated with a player and the computing system can assign the player a score when that player's golf ball successfully arrives at a target area. In some embodiments, the graphical images can be printed on the golf balls using, for example, a single pass inkjet printing technique. In some embodiments, the computing system can be configured to sort golf balls based on optically identified graphical images.
Systems and methods for measurement of 3D attributes using computer vision
A system including a computing device and camera is disclosed; the system configured for measuring three-dimensional attributes and associated performance measurements of a mechanical device. Some embodiments comprise a camera configured to capture images of the mechanical device and a computing device in communication with the camera. In some embodiments, the computing device is configured to access a first set of pixels associated with a first plurality of fiducials to calibrate a spatial resolution of the camera. A second image from the camera can be converted into a second set of pixels associated with each of the plurality of fiducials, which are attached to the mechanical device. The computing device can be further configured to compare the first and second set of pixels to determine the location of the plurality of fiducials on the mechanical device.
