UV LAMP AND ANTI-SCALE WATER TREATMENT WATER HEATER APPARATUS WITH SANITATION LOOP
A water heating and treatment system with UV lamp water treatment sanitation for suppression of pathogens and undesired bacterial content in a domestic hot water system includes a water heater, and a cold water supply line to supply water to the water heater. The cold water supply line includes a UV sanitation lamp. A single or multiple temperature regulating mixing station supplies a temperature regulated heated water to one or multiple temperature zones. A three-way return water diverter valve provides a portion of a re-circulated hot water from a hot water recirculation line including a temperature sensor to the single or multiple temperature regulating mixing station and a remaining portion of the re-circulated hot water to the drain. A method for treating hot water to suppress pathogens and undesired bacterial content in a domestic hot water system is also described.
MAGNETIC FILTER FOR A CENTRAL HEATING SYSTEM
A magnetic filter 10 includes first and second separation chambers 10, 12. The separation chambers 10, 12 each have an inlet and an outlet, and the separation chambers 10, 12 are joined together such that the inlets of the first and second chambers are adjacent, and the outlets of the first and second chambers are adjacent. An inlet port arrangement 28 connects both inlets to a single inlet pipe, and an outlet port arrangement 30 connects both outlets to a single outlet pipe.
Hot water supply apparatus
A controller performs a first operation in which a heat source device directly or indirectly heats water in a first channel of a heat exchanger and a second operation in which the heat source device directly or indirectly cools the water in the first channel of the heat exchanger after the first operation ends.
AUTOMATED WATER HEATER FLUSHING AND MONITORING SYSTEM
An automatically flushing water heater maintenance system may be provided, the system including a water heater and a water heater controller. The water heater may include an inlet, an outlet, and a flush outlet having a first control valve in flow communication therewith. The first control valve may be configured to control a flow of water and sediment through the flush outlet out of the water heater. The water heater controller may be configured to communicate with the first control valve by transmitting a first control signal to the first control valve, the first control signal configured to cause the first control valve to open or close as part of an automatic flushing process. As a result of the flushing, the useful life of the water heater may be extended, and/or water heater leakage alleviated. Insurance discounts may be provided based upon using the automatic water heater flushing functionality.
Magnetic rod guide for a filter
A magnetic rod guide for a filter is provided that includes a base for attachment to part of a filter, a through aperture through which a magnetic rod can move, and resilient engagement means. The resilient engagement means includes one or more resilient latches for holding the magnetic rod in one or more fixed positions relative to the guide. Each resilient latch is adapted to allow movement of the magnetic rod through the through aperture in either direction, for insertion into the filter or withdrawal from the filter into one of the fixed positions.
A WATER HEATING SYSTEM
The present disclosure provides a water heating system for efficient heating of water for immediate use that fits either to industrial applications or household applications. The water heating system is suitable to be combined with a solar heating unit and it can be operated on electric power or on gas-based heating units for providing hot water to multiple consumers for household or industrial utilization. Furthermore, the system can be stand-alone, operating without any additional water heating system and can provide an immediate stream of hot water, e.g. it can be installed within a water supplying appliance. The water can operate in two modes: (1) heating for immediate use of hot water; and (2) heating water to be contained in a reservoir for later use. The system uses a two (bi) directional flow valve.
Strainer for use in fluid piping
A strainer (101) for use in fluid piping. The strainer (101) comprises a body (102) for connection to a fluid piping inflow conduit (201) and to a fluid piping outflow conduit (202). The body (102) defines an interior chamber (103), a fluid inlet port (104) and a fluid outlet port (105). The body (102) defines a fluid flow path (106) between the fluid inlet port (104) and the fluid outlet port (105) that extends through the interior chamber (103). The strainer (101) comprises a screen collector (107) that is removably locatable in the body (102), within the fluid flow path (106). The strainer (101) further comprises a permanent magnet collector (102) that is removably locatable in the body (102). The strainer (101) may be used in fluid circuit piping of a heating or a cooling system.
COMBINED HOT WATER AND AIR HEATING AND CONDITIONING SYSTEM INCLUDING HEAT PUMP
A combined hot water and air heating and conditioning system including a first heat exchanger, a heat pump, a chilling tower loop, a burner and a second heat exchanger to provide hot water, air heating and air cooling. The system provides hot water, air heating and cooling all in one single unit. The system utilizes a heat pump to remove heat from ambient air and transfer the rejected heat into a hot water system, thereby using waste heat to heat the hot water system. The system utilizes a heat exchanger not only for the purpose of transferring heat from a heating source to a fluid in the heat exchanger but also for the purpose of dissipating heat from the fluid in the heat exchanger to the surroundings of the heat exchanger, thereby allowing a heat pump to act both as an air heating and conditioning device.
COMBUSTION TYPE WATER HEATER
The present description discloses a combustion type water heater that heats water by burning fuel. The combustion type water heater includes: a burner that generates combustion gas by burning the fuel; a heat exchanger that exchanges heat between the water passing through on an inside of the heat exchanger and the combustion gas flowing on an outside of the heat exchanger, an exhaust pipe that discharges the combustion gas after the heat exchange in the heat exchanger as exhaust gas; an exhaust gas temperature detector that detects a temperature of the exhaust gas flowing in the exhaust pipe as an exhaust gas temperature; a clog degree detector that detects a degree of clog in the exhaust pipe; and a scale buildup determiner that determines whether or not scale has built up inside the heat exchanger based on the exhaust gas temperature and the degree of clog in the exhaust pipe.
TANKLESS WATER HEATER HAVING INTEGRATED SCALE CONTROL MODULE
A tankless water heater includes a scale control module (SCM). The SCM is mounted inside or outside of a cabinet which encloses a heat exchanger and source of heat of the water heater. The SCM may include a connector and a cartridge removably attaching to the connector or may only include a cartridge permanently affixed to the tankless water heater. The tankless water heater includes a continuous water pathway inside the cabinet to supply water to all components of the tankless water heater, including the SCM. The tankless water heater receives supply water at its inlet, treats the supply water in the SCM to generate treated water having reduced scale-forming characteristics compared to the supply water, and heats the treated water in the heat exchanger to generate heated treated water.
