ON-ROPE WORK POSITIONING DEVICE
A rope-climbing device has an upper assembly with planar side plates spaced apart by a roller, such that the side plates rotate relative to one another about the roller axis, a spine unit comprising planar links of common width each of half the plate spacing, the links pivoted at a central point, and a lower assembly comprising third and fourth side plates spaced apart by a clamp element such that the third and fourth side plates are enabled to rotate relative to one another about the clamp axis, and the clamp element is enabled to clamp a rope between the plates. The device may be opened by aligning pivot points, a rope inserted, and closed on the rope. Engaged on the rope the device may be set to slide on the rope, ar clamp to the rope by action of a user.
CAMMING CLAMPING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A CAMMING CLAMPING DEVICE
A camming clamping device includes a head, a cam and a spring biasing the cam to an extended position. A textile wire element connects the cam to a trigger fitted movable between first and second positions. The cam defines a first hole and a second hole. The textile wire element passes through the first hole and second hole to introduce friction between the textile wire element and the cam. A terminal portion of the textile wire element passes through a third hole connecting the sides of the cam and/or is wedged in a groove arranged in one of the sides. The terminal portion of the textile wire element is arranged posteriorly to the second hole in a longitudinal direction of the textile wire element away from the trigger.
Camming clamping device and method for manufacturing one such device and method for replacing a wire element of one such device
A camming clamping device comprising: a head sub-assembly including a head provided with a cam and a rod sub-assembly having a rod and at least one wire element. The wire element passes through the rod. The rod delineates a through hole designed to receive a connector. The wire element delineates the through hole. The wire element defines at least one loop that is attached to head to constitute a mechanical continuity between the head and the attachment point. The at least one loop is passed through by a tube. The tube and the at least one loop are passed through by an anchorage fixed to the head to constitute the mechanical continuity between the head and the attachment point.
Safety anchor
A safety anchor for installing in a hole drilled into a structure, the anchor having a hanger member, a threaded member, and a hollow sleeve member, the sleeve member having a lip portion adapted to stand outside the drilled hole to facilitate grasping the sleeve portion and removing it from the hole after the anchor has been installed in the drilled hole, and the hanger member having a recess adapted to provide a volume of relief above the surface of the structure for receiving the lip member.
Camming clamping device and method for adjusting a wire element of a camming clamping device
A camming clamping device comprises a head with a cam installed swivelling around a pivot shaft between retracted and extended positions. An annular end is mechanically coupled to the head. A rod of variable length connects the head with an annular end designed to receive a carabiner. A wire element made from textile material passes through the rod to connect the head and the annular end. A trigger is installed slidingly to selectively engage the retracted position of the cam. An adjustment device of the length of the rod defines at least a distance between the head and the annular end that is greater than a threshold distance to stretch the wire element and compress the rod in the first direction.
Camming clamping device, method for manufacturing one such device and method for replacing a wire element of one such device
A camming clamping device comprises a head provided with an anchor point. A cam is installed rotatable around at least one shaft between a retracted position and an extended position. A spring is functionally coupled to the cam to bias the at least one cam to the extended position. An annular end is mechanically coupled to the head. A wire element connects the head and the annular end. The wire element is in the form of a ring. The ring is folded into a U-shape with two legs joined by a central portion. The two legs are fixed to the anchor point. Four strands of the wire element connect the head and the annular end. An actuating system has a trigger installed slidingly and configured to selectively engage the retracted position.
