DEVICES AND METHODS FOR SIMULATING TRADITIONAL ROCK CLIMBING ENVIRONMENTS
An apparatus includes a frame and an access member. The frame is configured to be mounted to a structural support, and defines a first volume configured to receive at least a portion of a first insert, and a second volume configured to receive at least a portion of a second insert. The frame is configured such that when the first insert is within the first volume and the second insert is within the second volume a first engagement surface of the first insert is facing a second engagement surface of the second insert. The frame includes a first tapered surface that engages a tapered surface of the first insert to limit movement of the first insert along a lateral axis nonparallel to the longitudinal axis. The access member is configured to be coupled to the frame covering a portion of the first volume to limit movement of the first insert.
ANCHORING AND SUPPORT CLIMBING DEVICE
An anchoring and support climbing device may include a central body suitable for being connected at one end to a wire, and at least one cam rotatably arranged with respect to said body by means of a rotation pin which can be positioned or dislocated with respect to said body between a minimum overall dimensions position and a maximum overall dimensions position of said rotation pin, by movement means, and by and locking means of the same rotation pin. The movement means may include at least two rockers opposed to each other. The locking means may also include a ratchet locking mechanism suitable for allowing single direction rotation with respect to the second rotation pin, so as to prevent the rotational movement of the rockers.
Collapsible Nut Tool
A simple hand held tool for removing climbing protection, with said tool's body comprising at least two sub-assemblies connected by a joint, rendering the tool able to modulate in size (by collapsing, folding, retracting, extending etc.). Size modulation additionally provides coverage or protection of the tool's hooked tip. This manually operated tool increases a user's safety and freedom of movement by modulating tool size, and preventing the nut tool hook or shaft from being a hazard or interfering with the user's activities, yet preserving normal nut tool function when in a deployed mode.
ANCHORING AND SUPPORT CLIMBING DEVICE
An anchoring and support device for climbing, suitable for being connected to a safety rope, comprises at least two opposite first cams, rotatably hinged to a rotation pin and suitable for operating by exchanging forces along a first line crossing the points. The cams may contact opposite walls of a crack or fissure in a rock. Movement means of the rotation pins are adapted to increase an extension distance of the cams between a minimum size limit position and a maximum size limit position. Locking means for the movement means are adapted to lock the rotation pins in a fixed position and include one or more stabilizing means provided with movement means and locking means. The stabilizing means are adapted to operate according to an exchange of forces along a second line crossing at least one further contact point with the walls.
Camming stem system
An improved camming stem system including a head member, a plurality of cam lobes, a connection system, and a retraction system. The cam lobes may be selectively rotatable between an extended state and a retracted state with respect to at least one axle of the head member. The connection system may create an elongated, substantially rigid region by intercoupling the head member with a loop. The connection system is configured to create an elongated partially rigid region by intercoupling the head member with a loop, wherein the connection system comprises a twisted cable coupled between the head member and the loop, and wherein the loop is oriented substantially parallel to the at least one axle, and wherein the twisted cable includes a twisting radial angle of at least 90 degrees.
Anchors for climbing and related activities
Disclosed is an anchor for rock or similar material, and methods therefor. The anchor has a hinged base, which base consists of at least a pair of pivotally connected wings, the wings able to pivot about at least one longitudinal axis between, a first position in a closed state and a second position in an open state, the open state having a dimension between opposing parts of each wing that is greater than when in the closed state. A locking mechanism locks the wings in either the first position, or the second position. A connecting portion adapted to enable a load to be connected to the anchor connects to the hinged base, the connecting portion having a loading axis which is substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis. The anchor can be set between either the first position, or the second position, and then anchored to enable a load to be connected thereto.
Camming retraction system
One embodiment relates to an improved camming stem system including a head member, a plurality of cam lobes, a connection system, and a retraction system. The cam lobes may be selectively rotatable between an extended state and a retracted state with respect to at least one axle of the head member. The connection system may create an elongated, substantially rigid region by intercoupling the head member with a loop. The retraction system is configured to selectively engage the retracted state with a trigger assembly which is slidably externally coupled to the connection system. The trigger assembly further includes a coupling member coupled with the plurality of cam lobes via a plurality of retractor wires, at least one trigger cable fixably coupled to the coupling member, a trigger coupled to the at least one trigger cable, a sleeve member intercoupled between the coupling member and the trigger.
Strap-Based Exercise System
The invention is a strap-based suspension exercise system that includes a main strap that is attached to a fixed or stationary object to anchor the exercise system and exercise straps that are used to perform a variety of exercises. Different main straps are provided that enable anchoring the exercise system virtually anywhere. The exercise straps, which may be inelastic or elastic are attached to the main strap using a uniquely designed buckle and include a safety strap. Various optional equipment, such as a foot hammock, a wrist or foot strap, additional handles, exercise straps with gym rings, and a vest worn by the user are provided.
