Air from the attic passes through the primary aperture to the secondary aperture, through channels on the underside of roofing tiles, and to the atmosphere.

The cosmetic shield convers the roof equipment on one or more sides to improve the visual appearance of the building. The shield allows air movement through the cosmetic shield. The metal strips are staggered, offset or otherwise configured so they prevent viewing through the metal strips or louvers, but allows air flow. The cosmetic equipment shield is secured to the roof to resist most weather conditions from rain to wind, hot temperatures and freezing temperatures. The cosmetic equipment shield is configured for nearly infinite straight walls and can also include angle brackets to change the direction of the shield to 90 degrees or 270 degrees or can be angled slightly in a curved appearance.

INDOOR UNIT

In a known indoor unit, a casing may move away from a wall surface and a gap may be formed between the casing and the wall surface, with the result that the design of the indoor unit may be deteriorated. An indoor unit includes a mounting board fixed to a wall surface and a bottom frame (casing) attached to the mounting board. The bottom frame (casing) has screw holes (screw fixing portions) for fixing the bottom frame (casing) to the wall surface of the room.

INDOOR UNIT

When a front panel moves away from a front surface of a casing, a central part of the front panel is warped. An indoor unit of the present invention includes a casing, a front panel provided forward of the casing, and a drive mechanism moving the front panel away from the front surface of the casing. The front panel is curved so that its central part protrudes forward. The drive mechanism moves the front panel in a substantially horizontal direction.

An air conditioner and a control method thereof perform cooling through an outlet if room temperature or room humidity is high to reduce the room temperature or the room humidity, and closing the outlet to perform cooling at low velocity through an outlet hole if room temperature or room humidity reaches a predetermined value so that a user can little feel the wind velocity of cooling of the air conditioner, while maintaining indoor space at pleasant temperature or humidity. By performing cooling at low velocity through the outlet hole formed in the lower portion of the air conditioner, it is possible to cool the lower area of indoor space at pleasant temperature when a user is asleep.

The front design panel includes a lower panel extending in the width direction below the recess, an upper panel extending in the width direction above the recess, and a connecting portion connecting a back side of the lower panel and a back side of the upper panel. The connecting portion includes a bottom wall extending rearward from the lower panel, and an inner wall extending upward from the bottom wall and connecting to the upper panel. The bottom wall is located below an upper edge of the lower panel.
