Ventilation system
20230204248 · 2023-06-29 · ·

A ventilation system for ventilating a room, comprising: a lowered ceiling, defining a ceiling space between the lowered ceiling and a ceiling of the room and having an air permeable ceiling surface area; a raised flooring, supported by a support frame and defining a floor space between the raised flooring and a floor of the room, the raised flooring being air permeable over a floor surface area opposite to the air permeable ceiling surface area; an air supply inlet connected to the floor space; and an air outlet, connected to the ceiling space, wherein the air permeability of the raised flooring varies in dependence on distance from the air supply inlet for forming a substantial vertical air flow in which air entering the room through the floor surface area displaces air in the room in the vertical direction and forces air out through the ceiling surface area.

HVAC system with multipurpose cabinet for auxiliary heat transfer components

An HVAC system having an airflow path, a primary heat exchanger disposed along the airflow path, wherein the airflow path at least partially passes through the primary heat exchanger, and a multipurpose cabinet selectively configurable between at least a first configuration for housing a first type of auxiliary heat transfer component and a second configuration for housing a second type of auxiliary heat transfer component, wherein the airflow path at least partially passes through the multipurpose cabinet.

Air purifier

An air purifier includes a first case and a second case that are insertably coupled such that the second case slides up and down with respect to the first case. The first case may suction air through a suction space provided at a bottom and a plurality of holes formed in a side wall. The second case may include a discharge grill provided at a top end through which air is discharged and a plurality of holes formed in a side wall through which air is suctioned when the second case is moved down to a first position and through which air is discharged when the second case is moved up to a second position. The top discharge grill may be opened and closed. The second case may also include a side discharge portion formed in the side wall above the plurality of holes. The side discharge portion may be opened and closed.

Outdoor air controls for packaged HVAC systems

A heating ventilating and cooling (HVAC) system includes an outdoor air chase having a first end and a second end. The second end of the outdoor air chase is fluidly coupled to a condenser compartment at a location to receive outside air from the condenser compartment and the first end is fluidly coupled to the return air compartment. The outdoor air chase has a conduit through the outdoor air chase. The system includes a configurable flow regulating plate disposed in the outdoor air chase member across the conduit or otherwise across the outdoor airflow that has a plurality of discharge apertures. Initially, the plurality of discharge apertures is covered by a plurality of knockout panels. Each panel is removably secured to the plate. In installation, the installer removes as many of the knockout panels as required for a desired flow of outdoor air. Other systems and methods are presented.
