Regulating temperature and reducing buildup in a water heating system
A water heating apparatus includes: a water container configured to heat water via a convection process by receiving the water through an inlet and passing water through an outlet; and one positive temperature coefficient (PTC) heating element or a plurality of PTC heating elements arranged within the water container and configured to be immersed during the convection process. The plurality of PTC heating elements have a gap between each PTC heating element. Further, the water heating apparatus includes at least one ultrasonic transducer attached to the water container and configured to project ultrasound onto and around the PTC heating element or the plurality PTC heating elements within the water container and to descale the PTC heating element or the plurality of PTC heating elements.
Electrical Load Resistance
An electrical load resistance includes a housing having at least one U-shaped receiving pocket, in which at least one PTC heating element is accommodated. The PTC heating element includes at least one PTC element and at least one contact plate electrically conductively connected to the PTC element for energizing the PTC element. The contact plate has a terminal lug for plug contacting the PTC element, and the PTC heating element abuts at least on opposite main side surfaces of the receiving pocket in a heat-conducting manner and projects beyond the terminal lug of the receiving pocket. The housing of the electrical load resistance is closed, and thus has no inlet or outlet openings for a medium to be heated. Also provided is a device with an electrical load resistance for reducing the starting time of an internal combustion engine, a method for reducing the starting time of an internal combustion engine, and a use of a PTC heating device as an electrical load resistance for reducing the starting time of an internal combustion engine.

A heater element for vehicle compartment heating in a vehicle, including a pillar-shaped honeycomb structure portion having: an outer peripheral side wall; and partition walls disposed inside the outer peripheral side wall, the partition walls defining a plurality of cells which form flow paths from a first end face to a second end face;
wherein the partition walls have PTC characteristics; an average thickness of the partition walls is 0.13 mm or less; and an open frontal area on the first and second end faces is 0.81 or more.

For improved support of the PTC heating element, a holding element, engaging around the heating element casing, is connected to the partition wall on its side facing the heating chamber and is connected to the heating element casing. Electric Heating Device
An electric heating device includes a housing having a partition wall which separates a connection chamber from a heating chamber for dissipating heat and from which at least one receiving pocket, protruding into the heating chamber as a heating rib tapering towards its lower, closed end protrudes. A PTC heating element includes at least one PTC element and conductor tracks for energizing the PTC element with different polarities. The conductor tracks are electrically conductively connected to the PTC element and are electrically connected in the connection chamber. A pressure element is received which holds heat extraction surfaces of the PTC element abutted against oppositely disposed inner surfaces of the receiving pocket. The pressure element includes a sheet metal strip which, by punching and bending, forms spring segments protruding from the plane of the sheet metal strip. The spring elements are provided in a planar manner distributed over a heat extraction surface of the PTC element provided adjoining the respective pressure element.
HEATING DEVICE FOR INSTALLATION IN A VEHICLE TANK FOR REDUCING AGENT AND VEHICLE TANK
A heating device for installation in a vehicle tank for reducing agent, which is introduced into an exhaust tract of a motor vehicle for exhaust gas aftertreatment. The heating device includes at least one electrical heating element and a heat distribution body, wherein the at least one electrical heating element includes a PTC heating element, and wherein the PTC heating element is arranged in thermally conductive contact with the heat distribution body. According to the invention, the heat distribution body has a heat conduction device which is designed to distribute heat from the PTC heating element in a targeted manner within the heat distribution body. The invention also specifies a vehicle tank with such a heating device.

The present invention relates to a flow generating device. The flow generating device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a suction portion configured to suction air; a fan configured to introduce the air suctioned into the suction portion in an axial direction so as to discharge the suctioned air in a radial direction; a fan housing including a housing plate configured to support the fan, a guide wall protruding from one surface of the housing plate to surround at least a portion of an outer circumference of the fan, and a discharge portion disposed outside the guide wall; a cover configured to surround the fan and the fan housing; and at least one heater disposed between the outer circumference of the fan and the cover.

According to this disclosure the plate shaped heating insert comprises a first heating plate, a second heating plate, and a plate support arranged between the first heating plate and the second heating plate, wherein the first heating plate and the second heating plate are arranged on opposite sides of the plate support, and the first heating plate and the second heating plate each comprise a substrate plate carrying a resistive layer.

Heating device (1), particularly for air conditioning housing of a motor vehicle, wherein the device (1) comprises a heating module (2) configured to heat a flow of air using an electrical current circulating in the module (2), said heating module (2) defining a plurality of zones (7, 8), each zone (7, 8) being capable of heating the flow of air in the direction of one portion of a passenger compartment of said motor vehicle, each of said zones (7, 8) comprising a plurality of heating elements (3) and wherein at least one of said zones (7, 8) comprises a number of heating elements (3) that is different from a number of heating elements (3) heating another of said zones (7, 8).
PTC HEATER
The present invention relates to a PT heater and, more specifically, to a PTC heater which: mechanically fixes a heating element, a terminal, an insulating layer, and a heat-radiating unit, which constitute the PTC heater, by bending a fixing projection of a hook structure formed at a heat rod; and further has an auxiliary fixing protrusion capable of fixing the position of the heating element so as to increase the adhesiveness between the PTC element and the heat-radiating unit, thereby enabling performance to improve and facilitating assembly through the heat rod.
