A solar panel cleaning device for cleaning a panel surface of a solar panel while travelling over the panel surface, includes: a main body portion; a plurality of cleaning units; and a plurality of travelling units, wherein each cleaning unit includes a base, an injection port, a gas unit having one end connected to the injection port and the other end connected to the base for emitting a jet of gas into the injection port, and a liquid unit having one end connected to the injection port for emitting a jet of cleaning liquid into the injection port, and wherein gas from the gas unit causes cleaning liquid from the liquid unit to eject in a form of atomized aqueous liquid as water particles toward the panel surface in a forward travel direction at an ejection angle from 15° to 75° with respect to the panel surface.

Front-heavy dust cleaning vehicle

In one embodiment, a cleaning vehicle for cleaning a surface of an object includes first and second carriages (that define a frame). The vehicle also includes first and second wheels coupled to the first and second carriages to form a drive assembly and at least one motor is operatively coupled to at least one of the first and second wheels. A cleaning element extends between and is supported by the first and second carriages at a location forward of the first and second wheels. The vehicle also includes third and fourth wheels. The third wheel is adjustably mounted relative to the first wheel and the second traveler wheel is adjustably mounted relative to the second wheel. The third and fourth wheels are configured such that the object is received between the third and fourth wheels and the respective first and second carriages.

Ultrasound cleaning system for solar panels

A system for ultrasonic cleaning of a solar panel includes a plurality of microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) ultrasonic transducers arranged on a side wall of the solar panel and/or under transparent glass on a surface of the solar panel; a hydraulic sun tracking mechanism configured to move the solar panel into a plurality of positions; a valve connected to a water source; and a controller which controls the plurality MEMS ultrasonic transducers, the sun tracking mechanism, and the valve, wherein the controller is configured to activate a cleaning protocol comprising the steps of moving the solar panel into a substantially horizontal position; opening the valve to allow a water flow over the surface of the solar panel; activating the plurality of MEMS ultrasonic transducers to apply ultrasonic waves to the water on the surface of the solar panel, wherein signal interference from different transducers are controlled to generate a rotating focused ultrasound signal over the surface of the solar panel; and moving the solar panel into a tilted position to allow the water to drain from the surface of the solar panel.

A system for cleaning solar panels (photo-electric and/or water heating etc.) is driven by fluid driven motor (water and/or air driven motor) such as a piston motor or a vane motor. Some or all of the outlet water/air from the motor is used for cleaning the panels. The motor preferably also operates a cleaning mechanism, such as a rotating and or linear brush arrangement. The motor, gear system and/or components may be made from plastic. Optionally, a cleaning device travels along the edges of panels, optionally without requiring an additional rail structure. The cleaning device optionally includes a trailing water/air supply hose. In some embodiments, electrical components of the cleaning device are powered by an internal power supply. Control is optionally via an electrically actuated valve, a timer (for example a real time clock), a wireless receiver and/or a controller.
