20200200460 · 2020-06-25 · ·

A refrigerator includes a cabinet structure having an exterior wrapper and a liner operably coupled to one another to define an insulating space therebetween. The cabinet structure includes a refrigerator compartment. A water storage system includes a first portion disposed within the insulating space and a second portion fluidically coupled to the first portion and positioned within the refrigerator compartment. The first portion of the water storage system is exposed to a temperature level of the insulating space, and the second portion of the water storage system is exposed to a temperature level of the refrigerator compartment that is lower than the temperature level of the insulating space to define a thermal gradient therebetween.

Refrigerator

A refrigerator includes a main body that defines a storage space, a door configured to open or close the storage space, and a dispenser located in the door and configured to dispense cooled water and purified water. The refrigerator also includes a purified water input part that inputs a command for dispensing the purified water, a cooled water input part that inputs a command for dispensing the cooled water, and a dispensing amount input part that sets an amount of purified water to be dispensed based on the purified water being selected through the purified water input part. The refrigerator further includes a filter device located within the storage space to purify water supplied from a water supply source, and a water tank storing water that has passed through the filter device in a cooled state.

Refrigerator

A refrigerator may include a cabinet and a drinkable liquid dispensing system. The cabinet may include chilled cavity, insulation surrounding the chilled cavity, and a door by which the chilled cavity is opened and closed. The chilled cavity may include a reservoir configured to store liquid provided thereto from an external liquid source for chilling in the chilled cavity. The drinkable liquid dispensing system may include dispenser tubing and a liquid dispenser. The dispenser tubing may be configured to transport the chilled liquid from the reservoir to the liquid dispenser. An insulated portion of the dispenser tubing may be positioned between the chilled cavity and the insulation. The liquid dispenser may be positioned within the door and configured to dispense the chilled liquid transported thereto by the dispenser tubing upon request.

A refrigerator that may include a cabinet to define a storage space, a door to open and close the storage space, a dispenser provided in the door to dispense hot water, a hot water tank through which water flows so as to heat water introduced into the door, a heater provided in the door to heat the hot water tank, a water inflow passage through which water is supplied to the hot water tank, a water discharge passage guiding hot water discharged from the hot water tank to the dispenser, a flow rate sensor provided in the water inflow passage to measure a flow rate of water flowing through the water inflow passage, a water inflow valve provided in the water inflow passage to adjust a flow of water in the water inflow passage, a water discharge valve provided in the water outlet passage, an input provided in the door to input a temperature of the hot water to be dispensed and a hot water dispensing command, and a controller to control the water inflow valve and the water discharge valve.

Lighted water dispensing

A refrigeration appliance that includes a cabinet defining a storage compartment. A door is pivotably coupled to the cabinet and movable between a closed position for closing the storage compartment and an open position for allowing access to the storage compartment. A dispensing assembly is disposed on at least one of the cabinet and the door for supplying water and/or ice. The dispensing assembly includes a dispensing tube fluidly connected to a source of water and having an outlet opening for allowing a stream of water to exit the dispensing tube upon command and an illumination system for illuminating a predetermined target location that corresponds to a position of a terminal end of the stream of water exiting from the dispensing tube.

REFRIGERATOR WITH QUICK FILL DISPENSER INCORPORATING REMOVABLE FLUID STORAGE RECEPTACLE

A refrigerator utilizes a quick fill dispenser that incorporates a fluid storage receptacle that is easily removable for cleaning and/or dispensing independently of the refrigerator.

REFRIGERATOR FLUID DISPENSER WITH DISPENSED VOLUME CALCULATION
20200182534 · 2020-06-11 ·

A refrigerator and method utilize first and second sensors to determine a volume of fluid dispensed by a fluid dispenser that incorporates a fluid storage receptacle. The first sensor is disposed in upstream fluid communication with the fluid storage receptacle to generate a first signal representative of a volume of fluid entering the fluid storage receptacle and the second sensor is disposed downstream of the first sensor to generate a second signal representative of a volume of fluid exiting the fluid storage receptacle, and a controller determines the volume of fluid dispensed using the first and second signals output by the first and second sensors.

REFRIGERATOR WITH DOOR-MOUNTED FLUID DISPENSER
20200182525 · 2020-06-11 ·

A refrigerator combines an externally-accessible door-mounted fluid or water dispenser outlet with an externally-accessible case-mounted ice dispenser outlet and/or an externally-accessible case-mounted fluid dispenser control.

REFRIGERATOR WITH VARIABLE FLUID DISPENSER
20200182533 · 2020-06-11 ·

A variable fluid dispenser for a refrigerator utilizes a variable control suitable for varying the rate of fluid dispensing by the dispenser. In some instances, the variable control may include a rotary control actuator that varies the fluid dispensing rate of the variable dispenser, and in some instances, the variable control may include a variable control actuator movable between a range of positions that includes a home position at which the variable dispenser is deactivated. In such instances, movement of the variable control actuator away from the home position both activates the variable dispenser to dispense fluid and increases the fluid dispensing rate of the variable dispenser.

Refrigerator

A refrigerator includes: a cabinet in which a refrigerating compartment is provided; a first door connected to the cabinet to open and close the refrigerating compartment and having an opening; a housing provided in the first door and accessible through the opening therein; an ice making room provided in the housing; a storage room that is provided below the ice making room and maintained at a temperature different from that of the refrigerating compartment; a guide duct provided below the ice making room to guide discharge of ice; a second door connected to the first door; a dispenser disposed on a front surface of the second door; and a discharge duct provided in the second door, wherein, when the second door is closed, the guide duct communicates with the discharge duct, and ice made in the ice making room is discharged to the dispenser.
