PROCESS FOR PROCESSING AN ADHESIVE AND A DEVICE THEREFOR
The invention relates to a process for processing an adhesive, wherein the process comprises applying an adhesive precursor product onto an adhesive carrier and activating and crosslinking the adhesive precursor product by treating the adhesive precursor product with water vapor and heat in a reaction chamber, and wherein the process is characterized in that air mixed with reaction gases forming during the activation and crosslinking in the reaction chamber is conducted away from the reaction chamber and recirculated as circulating air into the reaction chamber, wherein a portion of used air of the air recirculated as circulating air is replaced by fresh air. The invention further relates to a corresponding device for processing a pressure sensitive hot-melt adhesive.
SINGLE PASS CONTINUOUS LUMBER DRYING KILN
A single-pass lumber kiln includes a main drying chamber, a heat source to provide heat to the main drying chamber, a pre-heating chamber connected to a receiving side of the main drying chamber, the pre-heating chamber having a moisture collector and a kiln entrance, a supplemental heat source to provide heat to the pre-heating chamber, a conditioning chamber connected to an exit of the main drying chamber, the conditioning chamber having a moisture delivery system and a kiln exit, wherein the pre-heating chamber, the main drying chamber and the conditioning chamber are positioned such that lumber entering the kiln travels in only one direction, partitions between the main drying chamber and the conditioning chamber, and between the main drying chamber and the pre-heating chamber, the partitions having controllable dampers, fans arranged adjacent the pre-heating chamber, the conditioning chamber, and the main drying chamber, wherein some of the fans are arranged between the pre-heating and main drying chamber to transfer heat from the main drying chamber to the pre-heating chamber through the dampers, wherein the supplemental heat source provides heat to the pre-heating chamber in addition to the heat from the main drying chamber, exhaust fans arranged adjacent the kiln entrance and the kiln exit, and a fluid path connecting the moisture collector of the pre-heating chamber to the moisture delivery system of the conditioning chamber.
System for treating objects
A system for treating objects includes a device for tempering objects in which a tempering tunnel having at least one air outlet and at least one air inlet is arranged in a housing. At least one heating unit, in which a hot primary gas flow can be generated, is assigned to the tempering tunnel, wherein the hot primary gas can be guided into a circulating air heat exchanger, in which air from the tempering tunnel can be heated by hot primary gas as circulating air, which can be fed back to the tempering tunnel in a circuit via the at least one air inlet. The heating unit is coupled in the manner of a combined heating and power plant to an electric generator in such a way that electrical energy is produced during operation of the heating unit.
Lignite drying with a heat recovery circuit
The invention relates to a lignite fired steam power plant comprising a water/steam power cycle, a dryer system for drying lignite coal and a heat recovery system for recovering thermal energy from the dryer system. The heat recovery system vaporises condensate against a vapour line of the dryer steam and then compresses the vaporised condensate for use to preheat either or both combustion air or condensate of the water/steam power cycle.
ENERGY RECOVERY IN A FREEZE-DRYING SYSTEM
Disclosed herein are embodiments of an energy recovery system for a freeze-drying system. In some embodiments, the freeze-drying system includes a freeze dryer chamber having one or more shelves disposed therein; a refrigeration system comprising a refrigerant condenser; a heat exchanger; a first fluid line to thermally couple the refrigerant condenser to the heat exchanger; and a second fluid line to thermally couple the one or more shelves to the heat exchanger.
Chip dryer with integrated exhaust gas treatment
According to a first embodiment, a dryer for removing hydrocarbons and/or moisture from metal chips is provided. The dryer includes a top portion and a base portion. The top portion comprises an elongated tubular chamber containing a scrap conveyor. The base portion comprises a burner, a heat exchanger, a high temperature VOC elimination chamber and a vent for returning reduced VOC gasses to the top portion. The top portion is configured to receive the metal chips at an inlet and transport the metal chips to an outlet while receiving heated air from the base portion.
THERMAL SLUDGE TO ENERGY TRANSFORMER
Systems and processes provide for a thermal process to transform sludge (and a variety of other natural waste materials) into electricity. Dewatered sludge and other materials containing a high amount of latent energy are dried into a powdered biofuel using a drying gas produced in the system. The drying gas is recirculated and is heated by the biofuel produced in the system, waste heat (from turbines or internal combustion engines), gas (including natural gas or digester gas) and/or oil. The biofuel is combusted in a boiler system that utilizes a burner operable to burn biofuel and produce heat utilized in a series of heat exchangers that heat the recirculating drying air and steam that powers the turbines for electricity production.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DRYING GRIT USED FOR ABRASIVE BLASTING
A method and method for processing grit used for abrasive blasting may include receiving grit blasted onto a surface, where the grit includes moisture content. Air in which the grit being recycled is being processed may be heated. The moisture content may be evaporated from the grit using the heated air to produce dry recycled grit. The dried recycled grit may be stored.
