An apparatus and a method are provided for a sports paddle for pickleball, tennis, smashball, ping pong, or racquetball. The sports paddle comprises a planar portion defining opposing flat surfaces for striking a ball and a handle portion for grasping in a hand. A skin layer encloses the planar portion and the handle portion. Rounded edges are disposed around the planar portion and the handle portion. The planar portion may comprise a core material surround by a rigid portion. The rigid portion may comprise 20-24 lb. foam while the core material is a honeycomb structured material. A synthetic or polymeric grip is wrapped around the handle portion to provide stability and firmness for a player. A binding secures the grip to a neck of the planar portion. An end cap placed at an end of the handle provides support and protection of the paddle.

A protector shield to be adhered to a head portion of a pickleball or other gaming paddle is formed of a sheet of vinyl material having an adhesive on a first surface thereof and having a shape and surface area corresponding with a shape and surface area of a head portion of a pickleball paddle, a graphic design printed on a second surface of the sheet of vinyl material and a laminate formed over the second surface of the sheet of vinyl material to cover and protect the graphic design.

A protector shield to be adhered to a head portion of a pickleball or other gaming paddle is formed of a sheet of vinyl material having an adhesive on a first surface thereof and having a shape and surface area corresponding with a shape and surface area of a head portion of a pickleball paddle, a graphic design printed on a second surface of the sheet of vinyl material and a laminate formed over the second surface of the sheet of vinyl material to cover and protect the graphic design.

Provided by the present disclosure are a pickleball paddle with a sectional structure and a manufacturing process. The pickleball paddle comprises a paddle head and a paddle handle which are made of a paddle core material, a part between the paddle head and the paddle handle is divided into two separate parts which are the paddle head and the paddle handle by cutting, and the thickness at the thickest part of the paddle handle is smaller than or equal to the thickness of the paddle head. A beach tennis racquet is disclosed having a handle and frame enclosing a striking element. The striking element is a composite comprising a core and a plurality of ultrathin carbon fiber layers that are fused into a solid surface of no more than two millimeters in thickness. The striking surface is centered in the frame of the racquet and inset from the frame in a manner similar to a tennis racquet.

A beach tennis racquet is disclosed having a handle and frame enclosing a striking element. The striking element is a composite comprising a core and a plurality of ultrathin carbon fiber layers that are fused into a solid surface of no more than two millimeters in thickness. The striking surface is centered in the frame of the racquet and inset from the frame in a manner similar to a tennis racquet.

A pickleball paddle assembly a head having a front side, a back side and a perimeter edge. The perimeter edge includes a top edge, a bottom edge, a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge. A central portion of each of the front and back sides is planar. A handle is attached to and extends downwardly from the from the bottom edge of the head. A plurality of inserts is provided and the perimeter edge has a plurality of wells extending therein that are each configured to releasably receive and retain one of the inserts. Each insert of the plurality of inserts defines a weight such that a weight of the head is selectively altered by inserting one or more of the inserts into one or more of the wells.
