An apparatus for preventing the dropping of a handgun during use thereof is shown in conjunction with a special glove that has metal parts attracted to magnetic grips attached to a hand gun, an electromagnetic version of the magnetic grip device, several embodiments of a strap attached to a grip on one side of a gun handle, a spring steel strap for attachment to a hand gun handle that will stay straight when moved to the straight position and coils around a person's wrist when moved from the straight position and lastly and O-ring device attached to a special glove to automatically attach to a tapered tail on a hand gun.

A quick release storage and locking system with a base, an electric lock, an L-shaped locking bar and a locking post is provided. The L-shaped locking bar comprises a first end movably attached to the base and a second end with a manual lock spaced apart from the first end. The locking post comprises a first locking end and a second locking end spaced apart from the first locking end. The electric lock is configured to engage the first locking end of the locking post such that the locking post is securely attached to the base and the manual lock is configured to engage the second locking end of the locking post such that the locking post is securely attached to the L-shaped locking bar. In some embodiments, the electric lock may be wirelessly activated. In the alternative or in addition to, the electric lock may be keypad activated.

The components positively mechanically secure the gun in a retained condition until the activator effects release of the gun, and then the ejector effects movement of the gun from a retained position to a user access position.

A trigger lock for a trigger of a firearm, components thereof, and associated methods. The trigger lock comprises a first guard including a bolt having a catch. The trigger lock includes a second guard comprising a bolt receiver configured to receive the bolt to connect the first and second guards with the trigger between the first and second guards for obstructing access to the trigger. The bolt receiver includes a keeper arranged to engage the catch when the bolt is in the bolt receiver to maintain the first and second guards connected to each other. The second guard includes a shield overlying the bolt receiver and configured to obstruct cutting of the bolt receiver to disengage the keeper from the at least one catch.

Devices for securing and retaining firearms that include either a lockable firearm cabinet or a firearm securement system. The cabinet includes a receptacle; a locking device and locking mechanism; a spring for biasing the locking mechanism in the locked position; and a bar for overriding the locking mechanism. The securement system includes a wall mounted plate for securing a firearm thereto; a release mechanism that allows the firearm to be removed and electronics for wirelessly communicating with a computer and the firearm to provide information regarding removal of the firearm or firearm cartridge from the wall mounted plate.
