Camera activation in response to firearm activity
A portable camera may be activated in response to the activity of a firearm. Furthermore, a communications channel may be established between a firearm telematics sensor and a video camera, optionally by means of intermediary devices. When the telematics sensor detects that its associated firearm has been removed from a holster of the firearm, is in motion, or is being discharged, the telematics sensor may signal the video camera to initiate recording.
Electronic firearm
There is disclosed herein systems, methods and apparatus relating to a firearm with an electronically operable firing system to fire projectiles from the firearm. A firing mechanism is provided for mechanically and electronically firing a firearm, and a selector mechanism allows for selection of a safe mode, an electronic firing mode or a mechanical firing mode for the firearm. There also includes an electronic controller and shooter interface for controlling firing of a firearm in an electronic mode of firing.

Electronic operating mechanism for a firearm
There is disclosed herein systems, methods and apparatus relating to a firearm with an electronically operable firing system to fire projectiles from the firearm. The electronic firing system includes an electronic actuator with a switch for electronically firing the firearm and a trigger lever connected to the trigger. The trigger lever is reciprocally moveable along the fastening member in response to a pull of the trigger to displace the trigger lever and actuate the switch to fire the firearm.
ASSOCIATING METADATA REGARDING STATE OF FIREARM WITH VIDEO STREAM
A portable camera may be activated in response to the activity of a firearm. Furthermore, an individual who discharged a firearm may be identified. Furthermore, information related to the firing of a firearm may be recorded, assessed, identified and transmitted. Furthermore, the status of an implement at a mount may be monitored. Furthermore, a charging device for delivering electrical power to components of a firearm may be used. A communications channel may be established between a firearm telematics sensor and a video camera, optionally by means of intermediary devices. A communications channel may be established between a mount (e.g., holster) telematics device and local and/or remote monitoring service components, optionally by means of intermediary devices. When the telematics sensor detects that its associated firearm has been removed from a holster, is in motion, or is being discharged, the telematics sensor may signal the video camera to initiate recording.

Firearm grip with integrated locking mechanism
A firearm grip with locking mechanism includes an elongated handgrip body having an elongated opening on the front side and a generally hollow interior space. A pair of doors are pivotally secured to the handgrip body to move between a closed position, and an open position. A firearm engagement body is pivotally secured along the top end of the handgrip body for attachment to a firearm receiver at a location adjacent to the trigger assembly. The handgrip body moves between a FIRE position where the handgrip body is positioned perpendicular to the engagement body, and a SAFE position where the handgrip body is positioned parallel to the engagement body and the firearm trigger assembly is located within the interior space of the handgrip body.

Firearm safety mechanisms, visual safety indicators, and related techniques
The techniques described herein relate to methods and apparatus for firearm safety mechanisms, visual safety indicators, and related techniques. A firearm includes a handle comprising one or more buttons disposed at least partially within a surface of the handle, such that the one or more buttons can be in contact with an operator's hand when the operator grasps the handle; a safety mechanism in mechanical communication with the trigger. The safety mechanism comprises: a first position that blocks actuation of the trigger; and a second position that does not block actuation of the trigger; and at least one processor configured to: upon determining an input code matches a stored code, transmits a signal to the safety mechanism to change the safety mechanism from the first position to the second position so that the firearm can be fired by the operator.
