Sling system

The present relates to a sling system, and more specifically, to a sling system which may be used for shoulder mounted sling requirements, such as for rifles, archery bows, crossbows, weed eaters and metal detectors, to name a few. The sling system includes a shoulder portion with a plurality of columns of slot apertures with each column offset from the adjacent column, an adjustable position handle and couplers on each end of the sling system to couple it to the desired implement or object.

A rifle sling is provided for use with a shooting adapter for a firearm. The rifle sling comprises a first portion having a forward end including a first attachment facility configured for attachment to a forward portion of a rifle, and a second portion having a rear end including a second attachment facility configured for attachment to a rear portion of a rifle. Further, a connector is configured to removable connect the first and second portion, the connector includes three parallel bars collectively defining two elongated slots. One of the slots has a lateral opening at a slots end, the opening is configured to removably retain a strap and to permit removal and insertion of an intermediate portion of the strap.

Rapid adjust buckle with integral flexible pull loop

Embodiments of the disclosure are directed to a rapid adjust buckle for a rifle sling. The buckle can include a main buckle portion with a pair of side portions and a handle portion extending between the pair of side portions and over the main buckle portion to define a handle aperture. In various embodiments the handle portion and the main buckle portion are a unitary piece composed of a polymer material with the handle portion being flexibly biased towards an uncompressed open shape such that the handle portion is configured to compress against the main buckle portion in response to a compressing force but return to the uncompressed open shape when the compressing force is relieved. In one or more embodiments the handle portion includes a plurality of jointed connection points configured to flatten the profile of the handle portion when the handle portion is exposed to the compressing force.

Disclosed and claimed here is a sling retention device for an object such as a gun worn over a body vest or ballistic vest. The device allows for the user to wear a sling across their body, while preventing the sling from making contact with the user's neck. The device consists of a base, an articulating hook, a spring and an attachment strap. The base is a rigid rectangle that lies flat on the user's shoulder and is attached to the vest by a strap that secures the device. The articulating hook is positioned with the open end facing away from the user's neck, and captures the sling between the hook and the base. When the sling is placed in the device, the device prevents the sling from making contact with the user's neck or head thereby reducing the discomfort to the user. The spring is designed to permit release of the articulating hook and allow rapid removal of the sling from the user's shoulder.

A sling apparatus has a sling body with downwardly extending first and second arms downwardly. First and second upper straps is coupled to the sling body for carrying the sling body. A first release mechanism is coupled to a distal end of the first arm and a second release mechanism is coupled to a distal end of the second arm. The first and second release mechanisms are configured to attach to an object to be carried by a user, such as with a shoulder strap. A trigger assembly is integrated into the sling body and interconnected to the first and second release mechanisms, whereby actuating the trigger mechanism of the trigger assembly causes simultaneous detachment of the first and second release mechanisms from the object and thereby release of the object from the sling apparatus.

The sling member includes apertures along a body thereof wherein two apertures enclose the attaching portion and another of the apertures passes through the sling member by a distal end thereof. The sling member is secured by a locking member which includes apertures configured to be concentrical with two apertures of the attaching member and a pair of fasteners passing through the apertures. A strap member includes a hook which can be adjusted to an aperture of the sling member and another distal end can be attached to another portion of a lever action rifle member thereby holding thereof by a user.

A universal attachment mechanism for a sling that uses a flexible length or loop of material to attach the rifle sling to the forestock of the firearm without compromising the ability of the sling to provide support to the user's arm when aiming and firing. The loop of material can also be used to affix the rifle sling directly to the forestock of the firearm. A flexible loop of material is affixed to a sling possibly using a hook-and-loop fastener system affixed to a strap. The strap has at least one inner strap section and at least two outer strap sections each featuring a surface on which is located a hook-and-loop fastener system. The inventor even envisions the flexible loop of material could be used to affix the sling to a rifle missing the traditional hardware used to attach a sling to the forestock of the firearm.
