TRAJECTORY ESTIMATION DEVICE, TRAJECTORY ESTIMATION SYSTEM, TRAJECTORY ESTIMATION METHOD, AND PROGRAM RECORDING MEDIUM
A trajectory estimation device that includes a waveform generation unit that generates, by using signals based on waves detected by at least three sensors, peak waveforms consisting of time series data of peak frequencies of the signals, a parameter estimation unit that estimates, from the peak waveforms relating to the waves detected by the at least three sensors, a trajectory parameter relating to a trajectory of a moving body having a wave source of the waves, and a trajectory estimation unit that estimates, for all combinations of two of the peak waveforms selected from among combinations of at least three of the peak waveforms, a wave source direction candidate for each of the waves by using the trajectory parameter, and estimate, as a trajectory of the moving body, overlapping trajectory candidates from among trajectory candidates estimated based on the wave source direction candidates.
MUNITIONS INTERFACE ADAPTER
A munitions interface adapter including a rail adapter body. A plurality of mounting shoes may be coupled to the rail adapter body, and configured to mechanically couple the rail adapter body to a munitions rail of an installed munitions interface. A fire control connector may be configured to communicatively couple with an installed munitions fire control system. An adapter control interface may be included for adapting fire control signals from the installed munitions fire control system to an adapted munitions fire control signals. One or more adapted munitions deployment fixtures may be positioned on the rail adapter body. The one or more adapted munitions deployment fixtures are configured to retain and deploy one or more adapted munitions.
Firearm Electronic System
Man portable weapons include integrated electronics that calculate orientation and movement in addition to providing that data to a user's heads-up displays (HUD) as well as to group and area networks. By passing data to a HUD, the user is able to see, virtually, the flight path, point of impact and other ballistic data as well as data representing the condition and performance of the weapon for any rounds fired. The HUD also displays the relative position of other members of the team, last known enemy area of operation and other useful parameters from the man portable weapons of the other team members through the network. The electronics may be integrated within the main components of any suitable man portable weapon in a non-intrusive way as to have no effect on the firing mechanism of the small arm when it is fully assembled.
Image geo-registration for absolute navigation aiding using uncertainy information from the on-board navigation system
A system and method for feeding back and incorporating the uncertainty distribution of the state estimate output by the INS in the image geo-registration process to handle larger navigation errors, provide a full six degree of freedom position and attitude absolute navigation update for the navigation system and provide a more accurate update for autonomous aerial, underwater or ground vehicles. Generating the update simultaneously for multiple images may provide a more robust solution to address any observability issues that may be present, the ability to fuse different sensor modalities and in general more accurate updates. Key frames may be used to improve the computational efficiency of the method.
SEAMLESS SMART MUNITIONS SYSTEM AND METHOD
Systems and methods for deploying smart munitions may provide targeting metadata generated by surveillance networks to munitions deployment and guidance systems for smart munitions. Targeting metadata may be received by a conduit system and automatically processed to generate guidance and deployment data actionable by a munitions deployment platform.
METHOD AND SYSTEM OF DETERMINING MISS-DISTANCE
The presently disclosed subject matter includes a computerized method and system for determining miss-distance between platforms. The proposed method and system make use of an electro optic sensor (e.g. camera) mounted on one of the platforms for obtaining additional data which is used for improving the accuracy of positioning data obtained from conventional positioning devices. A navigation error is calculated where the relative position of the two platforms is converted to the camera reference frame. Once the navigation error is available, it can be used to correct a measured miss-distance.
Depression angle reference tracking system
Systems and methods for tracking a target depression angle relative to a reference location. In accordance with some embodiments, the system comprises a set of algorithms and pilot displays that use data from an onboard navigation system to calculate an asset's location relative to a reference location, allowing for precise control of relative geometry for the purposes of system measurement and performance assessment. The system provides a pilot with tracking error and steering cues along a flight profile, allowing for closed-loop tracking of target depression angle (body axis elevation) while sweeping look angle (body axis azimuth) relative to a static or dynamic reference location.
METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR AERIAL INTERCEPTION OF AERIAL THREATS
Embodiments include active protection systems and methods for an aerial platform. An onboard system includes radar modules, detects aerial vehicles within a threat range of the aerial platform, and determines if any of the aerial vehicles are an aerial threat. The onboard system also determines an intercept vector to the aerial threat, communicates the intercept vector to an eject vehicle, and causes the eject vehicle to be ejected from the aerial platform to intercept the aerial threat. The eject vehicle includes alignment thrusters to rotate a longitudinal axis of the eject vehicle to substantially align with the intercept vector, a rocket motor to accelerate the eject vehicle along an intercept vector, divert thrusters to divert the eject vehicle in a direction substantially perpendicular to the intercept vector, and attitude control thrusters to make adjustments to the attitude of the eject vehicle.
