An accessory for an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) comprising a baseplate that is attached to the UAV unmanned aerial vehicle, at least one dispersant canister that is removably attached to the baseplate, a radio frequency receiver, an auxiliary circuit board, at least one battery, first and second wire pairs that supply electrical current from the auxiliary circuit board, a protective housing, and a radio frequency transmitter that is in communication with the radio frequency receiver. In alternate embodiments, the invention further comprises an electric match, linear solenoid, or electric primer.

Smoke screen generator

The present invention provides a smoke screen generator with a high diffusion rate of a smoke screen. Ends at both sides of a cylindrical housing are closed by a first closure 20 and a second closure 30 respectively, and a flow path changing member 60 is attached at an interval in an axial direction from the second closure 30. At the time of actuation, a smoke screen source passes through a smoke screen source discharge port 38, first discharge flow paths 44, 45 and 46, and a second discharge flow path 47 and is discharged from a final discharge port 48. Since the smoke screen source is radially discharged from the final discharge port 48, a diffusion rate of a smoke screen increases.

INSULATING GLAZING UNIT HAVING A PYROTECHNIC MODULE
20190291387 · 2019-09-26 ·

An insulating glazing unit including a first pane and a second pane bonded to a circumferential spacer is presented. The first/second panes are respectively bonded to a first/second pane contact surfaces of the spacer. The first pane, the second pane, and a glazing interior surface of the spacer enclose an inner interpane space of the insulating glazing unit. According to one aspect, the insulating glazing unit includes a pyrotechnic module that contains a pyrotechnic composition and an igniter. The pyrotechnic composition releases an aerosol in the inner interpane space after activation by the igniter. Methods for production and use of the insulating glazing unit are also presented.

System for visual obscuration of an object and dissipating energy of a laser weapon

A visual obscurant system for obscuring object from an observer having a field of view (FOV) is disclosed. The system comprises a sensor for detecting characteristics that indicate a presence of the object, a light source for emitting light in an electromagnetic spectrum, a source, and a controller. The source releases an obscurant into atmosphere to create a cloud. The obscurant attenuates a portion of the electromagnetic spectrum. The cloud is positioned within the FOV of the observer so as to obscure the object when the light emitted from the light source is directed towards the cloud. The controller is in communication with at least the sensor and the source. The controller modulates the light source at a frequency sufficient such that the observer interprets the light as being constant when energized.

Inspection smoke machine

Provided is a smoke machine that comprises a heating element disposed within a chamber wherein smoke is created. The chamber may contain a liquid reservoir containing a liquid that creates visible smoke when heated, e.g. to the point of vaporization, evaporation and/or condensation. A liquid transfer device transfers the liquid from the reservoir towards the heating element. The liquid transfer device may be provided around the periphery of the heating element, e.g. by being wrapped or coiled around it, of by having the heating element inserted in it. It may be tied in place or fastened by a fastener. It may be held by friction fit provided by a friction allowing wicking but providing substantially complete coverage of the heating element or part thereof. Also provided is a smoke machine that comprises a pressure controller.
