Training apparatus and method for ball hitting

A ball hitting practice device includes a shaft having a target at a distal end, a grip at a proximal end, an accelerometer, a microprocessor, and a way of providing feedback to a person hitting the target. A ball hitting practice system includes a ball hitting practice device and a computing device wirelessly communicating with the ball hitting practice device. A method for practicing ball hitting involves striking the target of a ball hitting practice, transferring timed acceleration data to the computing device, correlating ball hitting parameters with a training condition and displaying the correlated ball hitting parameter in a display.

The Nadel Pitch Training Device is a pitch training device or apparatus in the form of an linearly extending attachment having a rotating connection point for connection to a baseball simulator that is attached to a three-dimensional resistance means for the purpose of providing strengthening, rehabilitation, and/or correct body motion mechanics training to improve pitching quality, speed, strength, and body mechanics that enables training, exercising, and rehabilitation of proper body motion mechanics for improving the act of pitching and increasing the performance (speed and/or accuracy) of the act by enabling weighted ball training wherein the weight of the ball is connected to and maintained in the center of the ball and the center of mass of the weight is maintained in the center (physical, geometric, and/or dimensional) of the ball.

Batting tee

A batting tee and/or hitting training device is provided that includes a platform, a support extending upwardly from the platform and a holder disposed on the support opposite the platform for holding the ball to be hit. The support additionally includes a cross-beam disposed on the support adjacent the holder. The cross-beam can be positioned at an angle with regard to the support, such that the cross-beam has an upward slope from one end to the other. This slope enables the batting tee to provide the individual with a guide for an upward swing path of the bat towards the ball disposed on the holder.

A ball training or simulating device is provided. The ball training or simulating device comprises a modified ball coupled to a base by a motion transfer member. The modified ball allows for a lower, more natural, ball position, while the shape, position, and configuration of the motion transfer member provide for a verisimilar kicking experience. The ball training and/or simulating device can be coupled to a computing device to allow input from the modified ball to be used in a simulated or augmented reality game. A computer-implemented method for conducting a virtual, augmented, or mixed reality game is also provided.

Portable arm movement exercise device utilizing centripetal and reactive centrifugal force principles
11077347 · 2021-08-03 ·

A device to strengthen a person's arm muscles through the utilization of a portable device including a handle portion and a weight component with the two components separated by a flexible rod is provided. Such a device allows for the user to grip the handle portion and act as if they are throwing such a handle portion while the weight end moves along an arc defined through the length of the flexible rod. The resultant action is the generation of centripetal force along the defined arc with the reactive centrifugal force providing resistance to the user's arm muscles in a manner that is unique and heretofore unattainable through the utilization of a portable exercise device. The flexible rod component provides at least 1 foot (100 cm) of spacing between the handle portion and the weight portion.

Two ball, ball striking trainer

A ball sports, ball striking, practice and teaching aid which provides a unique two ball, ball striking practice design, that includes a fixed yet displaceable and self resetting ball and a second free to fly ball that is catapulted or tossed by using the energy that is provided by the force of impact between the fixed ball and a ball striking implement, for example a tennis racket or baseball bat, the fixed ball is situated at the uppermost end of a rigid, geniculated, longitudinally governed, displaceable, and self resetting wand, which crowns a rigid, unyielding, upright post that is affixed to a portable base of sufficient mass and weight to hold the upright post firmly in a perpendicular to the base, upright position.

Modular self-returning batting tee

The invention includes apparatus and methods for a novel modular self-returning batting tee. In one preferred embodiment, a modular self-returning batting tee may have one or more extension arms that are compatible with a variety of different batting attachments and/or aids, and may further be secured to a receiver tube positioned within a flexible boot. This receiver tube may be coupled with a weighted base through a novel recoil joint. In this embodiment, when the tee is struck, such as may occur during batting practice, the extension arm may bend forward engaging the flexible boot and/or novel recoil joint and causing the extension arm to self-return to a pre-determined position.

An athlete training device has one end adapted to be in contact with the athlete's body. The other end of the device is adapted to be secured to an athletic device, such as a ball or a golf club head. The level of difficulty readily may be adjusted from a relatively easy configuration to progressively more difficult configurations.

Tennis-stroke trainer device

A tennis-stroke trainer device is an apparatus that allows a user to perform various tennis strokes repetitively. The apparatus includes a frame, a training ball, a pair of length-adjustable fasteners, and an elastic cord. The frame offset and rotates the training ball around a post. The post is preferably a tennis post. The frame includes a U-shaped bracket, a cantilever arm, a counterfort arm, and a hook. The U-shaped bracket offsets and mounts both the cantilever arm and the counterfort arm with the post. The hook stretches the elastic cord along the cantilever arm. The training ball is preferably a large foam ball and serves as a target for the user. The pair of length-adjustable fasteners mounts the U-shaped bracket with the desired post. The elastic cord retracts the cantilever arm and the counterfort arm, and consequently the training ball after the training ball has been hit by the user.
