Each receptacle 2 includes a body forming at least one enclosed inside space which further contains at least one independently inflatable and deflatable compartment 19 therein for receipt of a fluid to at least inflate at least a portion of the receptacle. Each receptacle includes a body having an inner surface 17b, outer surface 17a and at least one internal chamber 19 which is inflated by the inflation and deflation apparatus 22c which modifies the outward shape of receptacle 2. When the fluid is forced by current producing apparatus 3 over the outer 17a of each receptacle 2 or chamber from a front of the current producing apparatus 3 or away from the current producing apparatus 3, and fluid is drawn in predominantly from around the current producing apparatus 3 and the sides of the at least one receptacle 2 back to the current producing apparatus 3 in a circuit of flow, thereby creating different current or wave patterns for the water flowing over the outer surfaces 17a of, inflatable, chamber portions 30, 31. A method is also included.
ATTACHMENT STRUCTURE FOR A SWIMMING MACHINE
An adjustable attachment structure for a swimming machine is disclosed. The attachment structure is configured to interact with a frame of a pool. A user may interact with a locking switch to transition the attachment structure between a locked and an unlocked state. In the unlocked state, the swimming machine may be rotated about an axis to direct a generated current in a number of directions.
Pool with an annular lane
A pool includes a main pool body defining an inner cavity, and a pillar within the inner cavity which cooperates with the main pool body to define an annular lane therebetween. The pillar provides the pool greater functionality that extends beyond the scope of the traditional pool, such as by enabling a separate pool, a platform, or other structures to coexist with the annular lane within the inner cavity. Further, a flow generating device may be provided to generate a circulating water flow within the pool that moves around the annular lane.
Repulsion-based swim system and methods for use thereof
In one aspect, a swim system may include a reverse thrust system worn by a swimmer proximate the frontal upper torso. The system provides a variable amount of reverse thrust such that the user can swim-in-place or make gradual forward progress. Importantly, this may enable a user to effectively extend a small residential pool to serve the same function as a twenty-five meter pool typically found at commercial or government facilities. The system also provides laminar current under the user while swimming, which solves the problems of leg drop, the need to out-kick the arm stroke, and turbulence and wave action around the head associated with conventional swim-in-place devices. Still further, in certain embodiments the system provides a relatively strong current in the region of the arm stroke moving away from the swimmer which provides enhanced resistance for proficient swimmers.
WATER SIMULATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
A water simulation system may include a tank, a plurality of fluidic inlets, a plurality of fluidic outlets, and one or more pumps. In operation, the one or more pumps may introduce liquid to the tank through the fluidic inlets and draw liquid from the tank through the fluidic outlets. A pressure at the fluidic outlets may be diffused through the tank by an intake diffusion system having an intake box and an intake plate separating the fluidic outlets from the interior of the tank. A liquid flow may be adjusted for creating swift water conditions in a first portion of the tank and a slower current in a second portion of the tank.
ARRANGEMENT, DEVICE AND METHOD FOR GENERATING A STANDING WAVE IN STILL WATER OR SWIMMING FACILITIES
An arrangement according to the invention relates to an apparatus (10) for generating a standing wave (12) in a standing water body or water basin (14). The apparatus (10) has at least one water acceleration section (32), at least one wave generation section (46) arranged downstream of the water acceleration section (32), and at least one pump (28). The at least one pump (28) is arranged in such a way that with this pump (28) water from the underwater area of the standing water body or water basin (14) can be conveyed to a starting level (30) which is higher than the water level (24) of the standing water body or water basin (14), in order to generate a water flow directed toward the wave generation section (46) by utilizing gravity (g). Furthermore, the apparatus (10) is arranged in relation to the standing water body or water basin (14) such that the standing water body or water basin (14) with its water level (24) is part of the wave generation section (46).
GYMNASTICS INSTALLATION WITH ROCKING MOTIONS
The invention relates to a gymnastics and therapy multifunctional installation by realizing rocking movements of the human body, wherein the installation comprises, configuration of liquid-containing spaces (1) by placing adjustable walls (2) with integrated support bars (3), a frame support base (4) in which a variable support frame is mounted, movable holders (52) mounted on the support frame and on the support bars (3) for mounting support components of the human body and cables (9), wherein on cables (9) a substrate base (10) is connected for the assembly of a substrate consisting various parts, where hand (16) and feet (15) parts of the substrate are used separately for exercises. A multifunctional device realizes the rocking movements by generating wave and currents through alternative components assembled into a chamber (24), transmitting movement in various system components and moving through arms (34) the frame support base (4) and support bars (3).
ACTIVITY POOL AXIAL FLOW PUMP
Some embodiments include an axial flow pump for a activity pool. An axial flow pump, for example, may include a water reservoir and a pump body disposed within the water reservoir. The pump body may include a shaft seal, a water flow intake, and a water flow output. The axial flow pump, for example, may also include an impeller disposed within the pump body between the water flow intake and the water flow output; an electric motor disposed external to the pump body and external to the water reservoir and a shaft that is coupled with the electric motor, extends into the pump body through the shaft seal and is coupled with the impeller such that the electric motor rotates the impeller causing water to flow into the pump body through the water flow intake and forcing the water to exit the pump body through the water flow output.
Athlete training device
The present device is designed for training of highly-qualified athletes in cyclic sports. The technical result is the more reliable transfer of power from a drive to a working mechanism with the possibility of smoothing out ultrashort fluctuations (0.3-0.7 seconds) in force. The athlete training device comprises two bases, each having a pulley attached thereto for rotation in a single plane. An annular cable track is fastened between the pulleys. With the aid of a motor, a rotation rate is transmitted to one of the pulleys via a shaft. The shaft, which consists of a driving part and a driven part, has mounted thereon an adjustable transmission for controlling torque. The adjustable transmission is in the form of an electromagnetic powder clutch, consisting of a driving part, connected to the driving part of the shaft, and a driven part, connected to the driven part of the shaft. The driven part of the clutch is mounted with clearance in a coaxial cavity in the driving part, the clearance gap between the driving part and the driven part of the clutch containing a ferromagnetic powder having viscosity adjusted by a clutch controller.
