MECHANICAL SELF-PERCUSSION FUZE FOR A NON-GYRATING AMMUNITION
The invention relates to a mechanical self-percussion fuze (1) for a non-spinning round, having a firing pin (14) disposed along a central axis (A), a primer (17) provided in a primer holder (17) that is movable about an axis of rotation (B) that is parallel and off-centre with respect to the central axis (A) between a storage position in which the primer (17) is off-centre with respect to the firing pin (14) and an armed position in which the primer (17) is aligned with the firing pin (14), and safety devices coupled to the primer holder (17) in order to keep the fuze (1) in a safe state until at least two mutually independent physical phenomena linked to the firing of the round occur. The fuze (1) has a wind turbine (11) designed to be driven in rotation by the relative movement of the air during the flight of the round and to transmit this rotational movement to the primer holder (17) only after the safety devices have been removed.

Firearm projectile usable as a hand grenade
A projectile includes a body containing pyrotechnic material. A rear cap closes a rear end of the body. A pyrotechnic unit includes an ignitor in communication with the pyrotechnic material. A striker is arranged to strike a primer of the pyrotechnic unit. A safety lever is arranged initially to restrain movement of the striker towards the pyrotechnic unit. An external safety keeper is arranged initially to clamp a portion of the safety lever to the body.

Firing switch and method of operation
The present invention concerns a firing switch for a downhole ballistics device. More particularly, but not exclusively, this invention concerns a firing switch for a downhole ballistics device and a method of operating the firing switch. The invention also concerns various safety features relating to the firing switch. A firing switch arrangement for a downhole perforating gun (26, 28, 30, 32, 34) is provided, and comprises a firing switch (26, 28, 30, 32, 34), and a detonator (40), the detonator arranged to be activated in response to an electrical signal from the firing switch. A removable safety tab (42) is associated with the detonator, the removable safety tab arranged to provide a short circuit to the detonator, such that the short circuit is removed if the removable safety tab is removed.

Grenade with independently detachable carpel segments
Disclosed herein is a grenade with a plurality of independently detachable carpel segments each containing a charge and independently detonated from other carpel segments. The grenade may include a head section with a triggering mechanism, and a modular hollow core with a rod having an upward mechanical bias towards the head section, which may include a safety pin, lever, and pivot. When the pin is pulled, a lever can be released after timed delay, and the release of the lever allows the rod to advance upward, which triggers strike pins that strike a primer which ignites a propellent that ejects a carpel segment from the core. The propellent simultaneously ignites a fuse in the body of the carpel segment, and the fuse triggers a detonation of the main charge in the carpel. Timed delays on the fuse can be used to cause the carpel segments to detonate at different times.
