TRAINING AID AND ALERT
A golf training device and method indicates the proper position and/or motion of the golfer's trail wrist during the club downswing. The device may detect that desired DWLA is attained and provide real-time alerts of same. The device may provide positive feedback in the form of an auditory, tactile, visual and/or other signal.
APPARATUS, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR GATHERING AND PROCESSING BIOMETRIC AND BIOMECHANICAL DATA
Apparatus, systems, and methods are provided for measuring and analyzing movements of a body and for communicating information related to such body movements over a network. In certain embodiments, a system gathers biometric and biomechanical data relating to positions, orientations, and movements of various body parts of a user performed during sports activities, physical rehabilitation, or military or law enforcement activities. The biometric and biomechanical data can be communicated to a local and/or remote interface, which uses digital performance assessment tools to provide a performance evaluation to the user. The performance evaluation may include a graphical representation (e.g., a video), statistical information, and/or a comparison to another user and/or instructor. In some embodiments, the biometric and biomechanical data is communicated wirelessly to one or more devices including a processor, display, and/or data storage medium for further analysis, archiving, and data mining. In some embodiments, the device includes a cellular telephone.

IMPROVED REAL TIME SPORTS MOTION TRAINING AID
A sports training aid comprising a body unit, attachable to a person's body or the person's sports implement, is provided with a positioning sensor module; a feedback stimulator; and a processor. The sports training aid is configured to provide instantaneous feedback on motion faults of a studied sports motion, and the body unit is intended to be attached to a person's body (or a person's sports implement) at a representative location, the location being bound to travel a path representative of the studied sports motion, and the positioning sensor module comprises acceleration sensors and gyro sensors. The processor is configured to determine a still position corresponding to an event wherein the body unit is determined to be still, to keep track of the sensor module's movements relative to the still position, and to activate the feedback stimulator in real time, upon detection of a sports motion fault.
GOLF SWING TRAINING AID ROD AND METHOD FOR GOLF SWING AND ARM CONTROL TRAINING
The present invention relates to a golf swing training aid rod for teaching a golfer the proper golf swing and arm control for execution a golf stroke. In particular, the golf swing training aid rod includes an elongated shaft having a reference tip located at a first end of the elongated shaft and an attachment member located at a second end of the elongated shaft, and an axilla support member having an axilla side, an inner bicep side, and an attachment receiving member, the attachment receiving member is coupled to the attachment member of the elongated shaft, the axilla support member is configured to be inserted and held in place between an inner bicep and an axilla member of the golfer, and the golf swing training aid rod provides the visual and tactile feedback to the golfer while executing the golf stroke.
Information processing device, sensor device, and information processing system
An information processing device includes a motion information acquiring section that acquires a plurality of pieces of motion information showing a series of motions of a same kind performed by a plurality of users and a reference timing extracting section that extracts a reference timing based on a plurality of pieces of the motion information. Also included are an image information acquiring section that acquires a plurality of series of image information corresponding to a plurality of pieces of the motion information and a synchronization processing section that synchronizes a plurality of pieces of the image information based on the reference timing.
Systems and methods for measuring and/or analyzing swing information
In a first aspect, a method for monitoring a golf swing is provided that includes coupling a mobile telephone to a golf club and employing the mobile telephone coupled to the golf club to monitor acceleration of the mobile telephone as the mobile telephone swings while a user swings the golf club, collect acceleration information based on the monitored acceleration of the mobile telephone as the mobile telephone swings, analyze the collected acceleration information to determine one or more characteristics of the golf swing based on the collected acceleration information, and output information regarding the one or more characteristics of the golf swing on the display of the mobile telephone. Numerous other aspects are provided.
Method and System for Improving Golf Putting Accuracy Using a Birdie-Line Golf Glove and Straight-Edged Putter Grip
A method and system for improving the accuracy of putting a golf ball that includes a golf glove for use with a putter grip that has a straight edge, with the golf glove having a visual line alignment feature/illustration that allows a golfer to place his or her hand in a repeatable, proper position on the grip of the putter. The golf glove employed is devoid of any putter attachment feature, such as hook-and-loop fastener material on the glove or the golf grip and is further devoid of any indicia affixed to the back-hand portion of a glove that could be viewed as an alignment indicia, as it only complicates and confuses a golfer when putting. Preferred embodiments include a golf glove that includes a marking forming a straight line that diagonally crosses the palm portion of the glove such that, when worn by a wearer, provides the wearer with a visual indication of the proper gripping position of a golf putter, such putter having a grip that has at least one flat surface and an edge extending down the axial length of the grip that can be aligned with the visual indicator markings/line on the golf glove.
Training device assembly for improving ball control
A device assembly causes the concentration of a sportsperson in the course of a throwing, kicking, striking and shooting movement and/or the physical movement sequence to increasingly focus on feeling and thereby improve performance. The device assembly has a detector which transmits a signal to a pair of shutter spectacles via a transmitter at a selectable time between the beginning of a throwing, kicking, striking and shooting movement and/or the physical movement sequence and the movement phase commenced in this way. The shutter spectacles have a receiving circuit which converts the lenses of the shutter spectacles from a high transparency to a low transparency when said signal is received.
Single Finger Golf Glove
A one finger golf glove is formed as a unitary pattern from a single sheet of material, the unitary pattern including a palm portion arranged at the palm of the golfer's hand and a finger portion arranged at the middle finger and ring finger of the golfer's hand. The glove includes a finger sleeve arranged to receive only the middle finger of the golfer's hand. A strap extends from the palm portion and is sized to extend across the back of the golfer's hand, through a slot in the glove and around the golfer's wrist.
