Movement analysis device for determining whether a time range between a start time and a completion time of a predetermined movement by a target person is valid, and movement analysis method and recording medium

A movement analysis device includes a sensor information acquisition unit and a swing identification processing unit. The sensor information acquisition unit acquires sensor information that is movement information from a sensor unit which is attached to a target person and which senses the movement of the target person. The swing identification processing unit individually identifies the time of the start of the movement and the time of the completion thereof with reference to a predetermined threshold value in a predetermined timing of the sensor information that is the movement information acquired from the sensor information acquisition unit. The swing identification processing unit identifies a movement within the range of the operation based on the time of the start of the movement and the time of the completion that are identified.

A golf training aid 100 has a sensor mat 105 placed under a golf mat 200. The sensor mat 105 has pressure-sensitive impact sensors 210 disposed in first, second and third regions. It includes an electronic circuit which activates a first indicator green upon an ideal impact detected by impact of a golf club head on pressure-sensitive impact sensors 210 in the first region, a second indicator yellow upon a thin impact, or the third indicator red upon a fat shot impact detected by the impact sensors 210. The golf training aid 100 also includes a wearable module 700 attached to the golfer's waist. It includes an accelerometer which measures rotational motion of the wearable device 700 and wirelessly transmits a signal to a base module 600 which activates an indicator to show under-rotation, proper rotation and over-rotation of the golfer's hips at impact of the golf ball 305.

An electronic golf aid system for assisting users with reading greens on golf courses includes a camera that captures images of the user's field of view, and an electronic display device with a display screen that displays captured images. A processor, which communicates with the camera and display device, is programmed to: receive signals from the camera indicative of images of a golf ball and a cup on the green; determine respective locations for the golf ball and cup; determine a perspective view of the topology of the green between the golf ball and cup from the user's point of view; determine, based on the green's topology, a proposed trajectory line from the golf ball's location to the cup's location; and direct the electronic display device to display the proposed trajectory line superimposed on the surface of the green as the green is shown in real-time on the display screen.

WEARABLE TRAINING APPARATUS, A TRAINING SYSTEM AND A TRAINING METHOD THEREOF
20200122015 · 2020-04-23 ·

A wearable training apparatus has a vision-control assembly and a head-mounting assembly coupled to the vision-control assembly. The vision-control assembly has a see-through area corresponding to a central portion of the human field of vision (FOV), and a vision-blocking area for blocking the human peripheral FOV except the central portion thereof. The wearable training apparatus may be in the form of a pair of eyeglasses with lenses provided with reduced FOV or alternatively, may be in the form of a goggle with reduced FOV. A training system may comprise one or more wearable training apparatus, one or more imaging devices for recording images and/or video streams of the performance of users wearing the training apparatuses, and one or more computing devices for playing back and analyzing the recorded images and/or video streams.

EXOSKELETON ROBOTIC SYSTEM FOR GOLF-SWING TRAINING AND MEDICAL REHABILITATION
20200122014 · 2020-04-23 ·

A robotic training device, system and method duplicates and guides a golfer through a perfect golf swing in several modes. The exoskeleton-like robotis device, and system utilizes a training method that employs a combination of either pneumatic, electrics or Bowden cables with small motors and actuators, which embraces the golfer so he/she can experience the feel and body movements that make a perfect golf swing and learn to perform the motion without the training device. Similarly, the robot training device, system may assist patients in rehabilitation from injuries, stroke, chronic illness or other conditions involving muscular atrophy.

Golf garment with shoulder joint support
10624398 · 2020-04-21 · ·

A golf garment for reinforcing a connection between a body and an arm has a shoulder joint support which fills a gap between the upper arm and the body at a golf posture, thereby enhancing a swing mechanism and reducing a possible injury. The shoulder joint support also mitigates the concentration of shock on the shoulder and thus the risk of injury is further reduced. Although designed specifically for golf, the present invention can be also effective for sports requiring a firm, yet tensionless connection of the arm to the body, such as tennis, hockey and baseball.

Sports training apparatus to address focal dystonia
10617930 · 2020-04-14 · ·

Sports training apparatus. The sports training apparatus is used to counter and overcome the condition known as focal dystonia, more commonly referred to as yips. One end of the apparatus comprises a mouthpiece that is sized to accommodate insertion into the mouth of an athlete. The opposite end of the apparatus is shaped to be rotatably attached onto a container with a screw top, such as a water bottle or sports drink container. An athlete, such as a golfer, may practice a sporting technique, such as swinging a golf club, while focusing on keeping liquid within the container still, which minimizes stress and anxiety caused by performance expectations. The sports training apparatus may optionally contain a centerline pointer that acts as a visual aid to inform a user where the centerline of the athlete is currently positioned.

A golf swing aid apparatus comprises a stretchable strap that pulls a golfer's trailing elbow downward towards his or her torso during a golf downswing. The stretchable strap continues pulling the golfer's trailing elbow towards his or her torso until he or she strikes the golf ball, and then releases so that the golfer is free to follow through without impairment from the stretchable strap.

Alignment aid for a golfer
