Blade wedge attachment lay-up
A blade for a gas turbine engine includes composite layers including neck plies and tooth plies that are flared relative to the neck plies. The neck plies and tooth plies respectively provide a neck and a root. The root includes a tooth. A Wedge is provided by wedge plies adhered over the root and the tooth.
ROTOR FOR A CONTRAROTATING TURBINE OF A TURBINE ENGINE
A rotor for a contrarotating turbine comprising a drum and a blading mounted inside, the drum comprising a hook delimiting a housing having an outer wall and an inner wall, the blading comprising a blade and an outer platform provided with spoiler placed inside the housing, wherein the rotor comprises a foil comprising an elastic inner wing and an outer wing, the outer wing being arranged radially between the spoiler and the outer wall, the inner wing having a first support with the inner wall and a second support with the spoiler, the inner wing being arranged in the housing so as to exert a force on the spoiler so as to press the spoiler against the outer wall via the outer wing.
Wear-resistant shield for a rotating blade of a gas turbine
The invention relates to a wear-resistant shield for a rotating blade root of a rotating blade of a gas turbine, especially an aircraft gas turbine, having a base and two side walls connected to the base, wherein the side walls lie opposite each other and are shaped so as to be substantially complementary to an outer contour of a particular rotating blade root, and wherein the wear-resistant shield for this purpose is set up in such a way that, in an installed state, it is to be taken up between the respective rotating blade root and a rotating blade root mount of a rotor, especially between the respective rotating blade root and an axial securing element arranged in the rotating blade root mount.
ROTOR DISC WITH AXIAL STOP OF THE BLADES, ASSEMBLY OF A DISC AND A RING AND TURBOMACHINE
A rotor disc for a turbomachine, the disc extending circumferentially around an axis and including a plurality of cells configured to receive blade roots and each cell including an upstream radial wall configured to axially block the blade root in the cell, each cell being connected to an upstream surface of the disc by a ventilation channel of the cell, the ventilation channel including an inlet orifice which opens onto the upstream surface of the disc and an outlet orifice which opens into the cell. An assembly of such a disc, of a plurality of blades and of a downstream retaining ring and a turbomachine including such an assembly.
Graphene discs and bores and methods of preparing the same
Provided are discs and bores of a gas turbine engine having one or more graphene layers and methods of preparing the same. The one or more graphene layers are disposed adjacent to the disc rim and/or bore to improve heat transfer and reduce oxidation of the discs. Methods of preparing the graphene layers and systems for using the same are provided.
VANE COMPRISING A STRUCTURE MADE OF COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND A METAL STIFFENING PART
The invention relates to a vane (7) comprising: a structure made of composite material, a vane (7) root (16) attachment (9) comprising a base having a radial outer face (20) and in which a slot (24) configured to receive the vane (7) root (16) is formed and two platforms (26), extending on either side of the blade (18) opposite the radial outer face (20), and two stiffening parts (30), added and fixed on the radial outer face (20) on either side of the stilt (17) so as to tightly abut against the stilt (17).
Thermal shielding in a gas turbine
An assembly for receiving in a radially extending bucket groove (31) of a turbine disc (22), the assembly including a turbine blade having an elongate body (26) of aerofoil cross-section, a root portion (24) at one end of the elongate body (26) and a tip at the other. The root portion (24) configured to be retained in the bucket groove (31). A heat shield (27) configured to be received between an end of the root portion (24) and a radially inner surface of the bucket groove (31) and to interlock with the root portion (24) in a manner which deters separation in a radial direction.
BLADE MOUNTING
An aerofoil blade having a root portion provided with a low friction coating layer. The low friction coating layer is affixed to the root portion by an adhesive layer. The adhesive layer has a service temperature of 125 C. or more, for example 140 C. or more.
PINNED AIRFOIL FOR GAS TURBINE ENGINES
An airfoil for a gas turbine engine according to an example of the present disclosure includes, among other things, an airfoil section that extends from a root section. The airfoil section extends between a leading edge and a trailing edge in a chordwise direction and extends between a tip portion and the root section in a radial direction, and the airfoil section defines a pressure side and a suction side separated in a thickness direction. The airfoil section includes a metallic sheath that receives a composite core, and the core includes first and second ligaments received in respective internal channels defined by the sheath such that the first and second ligaments are spaced apart along the root section with respect to the chordwise direction. The first and second ligaments define respective sets of bores, and the respective sets of bores are aligned to receive a common set of retention pins.
Bearing element and turbomachine with a bearing element
A bearing element for at least one adjustable guide vane of a turbomachine, in particular an aircraft engine, is provided. The bearing element comprising a porous matrix made of carbon and/or graphite and at least one metallic phase or a metal salt that is at least partially arranged inside the pores of the matrix, so that what results is a metal-infiltrated or a metal-salt-infiltrated material.
