A portable golf mat includes a first portion coupled with a second portion at a first hinge, a third portion coupled with the second portion at a second hinge, and a fourth portion coupled with the third portion at a third hinge. Each portion has a first layer formed from a rubber material and a second layer comprising an artificial turf. The first portion is foldable about the first hinge relative to the second portion so that the first portion top surface contacts the second portion top surface, the second portion is foldable about the second hinge relative to the third portion so that the second portion bottom surface contacts the third portion bottom surface, and the fourth portion is foldable about the third hinge relative to the third portion so that the fourth portion top surface contacts the third portion top surface.

GOLF PUTTING TRAINING AID
20170333776 · 2017-11-23 ·

Ejector devices and methods for golf putting training are provided. An ejector device can be configured for placement in a regulation golf hole. The ejector device can include a top member connected to a base by a lift mechanism. The lift mechanism is operated by a motor in response to commands received from a controller. The controller can selectively actuate the motor and cause the lift mechanism to raise the top member relative to the base, to thereby eject a golf ball from the hole. Such actuation can be in response to detecting the receipt of a selected number of golf balls in the hole. Alternatively, the ejector device can be operated in response to an actuation command entered by a user through a remote control device wirelessly connected to the ejector device.

Portable Golf Mat
20170296898 · 2017-10-19 ·

A mat for practicing golf shots, including an upper mat and a lower mat. The lower mat is larger than the upper mat. The upper mat is secured on top of the lower mat such that the additional area of the lower mat extends in the direction of the anticipated trajectory of a golf club head. A golf ball is placed on the edge of the upper mat such that the club head will travel through the empty space above the lower mat and in front of the lower mat. As a result, the golfer experiences less force due to the club head striking the mat.

Putting stroke analysis device
09782656 · 2017-10-10 · ·

The present invention is directed towards a putting stroke analysis device for analyzing a putting stroke technique of a golfer. The putting stroke analysis device comprises a planar surface with a plurality of infrared emitters and co-operating infrared sensors thereon. A golfer swings their putter over the planar surface, above the plurality of infrared emitters and co-operating infrared sensors. An infrared beam, emitted by the infrared emitters, is reflected by the putter and is detected by one or more of the infrared sensors. The putting stroke analysis device has a processor which receives information from the co-operating infrared sensors and processes the information to determine putting characteristics of the putting stroke technique. The putting characteristics include, but are not limited to, speed of putter head, velocity of putter head, acceleration of putter head, speed of golf ball, velocity of golf ball, acceleration of golf ball, swing path of putter head, angle of attack of putter head, angle of putter head at impact with a golf ball, and, impact point on a putter face of the putter head at impact with a golf ball.

Synthetic putting green

A synthetic putting green includes a crown, skirt and trough. The putting green includes a support surface shaped to define a crown, a skirt circumferentially positioned about the crown and a trough circumferentially positioned about the skirt. Landscape edging is applied to the support surface about a perimeter of the crown so as to define an interior space functioning as a putting surface. A containment layer is applied upon the support surface within the interior space and an open cell foam material applied over the containment layer within the interior space. A layer of synthetic turf is then applied to cover the containment layer and the open cell foam material within the interior space. A method for making the synthetic putting green is also disclosed.

Sporting device

A sporting device providing a rotating footplate and optional foot extension for a user to employ to practice a swing motion using a bat or club commonly used in sports.

Enhanced golf simulation system

A green simulation apparatus having a configurable upper surface with a changeable contour may comprise a covering forming the upper surface and a covering support assembly configured to support the covering. The support assembly may comprise a plurality of movable positioning elements having the covering resting thereon and positioned in an array extending in a reference plane and movable along axes extending substantially perpendicular to the reference plane. The support assembly may comprise a movement actuator configured to move at least one of the positioning elements independently of other positioning elements in the array.

Compression Golf Swing Training Apparatus
20220032154 · 2022-02-03 ·

A compression golf swing training apparatus includes a hitting board mounted atop a framework and configured to move downwardly at the point of impact from the golf club striking the hitting board during a golf swing. Specifically, the downward motion of the hitting board, when struck with a golf club, compresses the compression springs in their holder imitating or replicating the feeling a golfer experiences when taking a divot of golf course grass during a golf swing. The system is reconfigurable and interchangeable with distinct compression spring levels held in their individual spring holders replicating and/or imitating the resistance of the ground the golfer experiences playing on hard, soft, and wet golf course grass conditions.

SHORT GAME GOLF TRAINER SYSTEM
20170216700 · 2017-08-03 ·

A short game golf trainer system in three releasably coupled parts: a horizontal base, a vertical support, and a cantilever horizontal top plate. The base has anchoring features, such as holes for receiving spikes, for anchoring the base to a putting green. The support is preferably one piece of molded plastic. The top plate is generally an irregular hexagonal plate and may have an arcuate front side. When assembled, the top plate is cantilevered from the support. The top plate has a viewing port located nearer the front side than the rear, but spaced apart from the front side by more than half of a golf ball diameter. The viewing port has a diameter less than a golf ball diameter. Top plates may be made in different lengths: longer for putting and shorter for chipping and pitching. Supports may be made in different heights: shorter for putting and higher for chipping and pitching.

GOLF SWING TEACHING DEVICE
