Apparatus and Methods for Golf Stroke Training
Golf stroke training apparatus, as well as methods and systems to train a golfer to improve golf strokes, including putting strokes, wherein the golf stroke training apparatus provides a planar surface that can be levelled statically to the surface below it and can be adjusted by adding slope and/or pitch in quantifiable measurements and with a high degree of accuracy, wherein the repeatable golf stroke environments so provided permit repeatable and quantifiable golfer stroke actions and analysis and leading to golf stroke consistency.
GOLF TRAINING PLATFORM
A golf practice device comprises a main frame which contains a compressible energy transfer pad and a flexible turf section which rests atop the energy transfer pad. The turf section is secured in the frame only along a forward end of the turf section. Additionally, the turf section is secured to the energy transfer pad at an end opposite from the forward end or along a length of the energy transfer pad. Thus, when the turf section is struck by a swinging golf club, the turf section will flex, bend and move relative to the frame, thereby simulating the feel of creation of a divot. A tee box may be removably attached to the frame for allowing a golfer to practice teeing off. Multiple main and tee boxes may be attached together, both lengthwise and widthwise.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PLAYING A GOLF GAME WITHIN LIMITED CONFINES
Systems and methods for playing a golf game are disclosed herein. In an embodiment, a system for playing a golf game within limited confines includes a wall unit, a floor unit, and a control unit. The wall unit is configured to display a virtual portion of the golf game. The floor unit is configured to enable a physical portion of the golf game. The control unit is programmed to use first data related the virtual portion and second data related to the physical portion to enable a golfer to play a full golf hole.
Golf Mat Assembly
A golf mat assembly includes a mat that can be positioned on uneven terrain on a golf course. A handle is integrated into the mat to grip for carrying the mat. A pad is coupled to the mat and guide indicia are printed on the pad for pointing in the desired direction on the golf course. A tee is coupled to and extends upwardly from the pad for having a golf ball positioned thereon when the mat is positioned on the uneven terrain to enhance the user's ability to shoot the golf ball on the uneven terrain. A plurality of cones is each coupled to and extends downwardly from the mat to inhibit the mat from being displaced on the uneven terrain.
UP 'N DOWN TRAINER
An article of manufacture for providing a golf chipping and pitching training tool is disclosed. The article includes a circular golf landing mat, a center cut out for indicating a golf cup, a set of concentric circles centered about the center cut out, and a horizontal and vertical line across the golf landing mat dividing the golf landing mat into 4 quadrants.
Golf Mat
A golf mat has a high-density polyurethane viscoelastic foam removably placed in a cutout formed in a base. A hitting section is attached to an upper surface of the foam so that impacts of golf swing hitting the mat is absorbed by the foam. The foam may be placed in a protective bag to protect the foam from chipping and fraying. The hitting area is made with nylon having thermochromic pigments so that the pigments change color temporarily due to increased temperature from friction caused by impact and swipe of a golf clubhead on the hitting section when the golf clubhead hits the hitting section. The mat has a standing section with vertical lines and horizontal lines for the alignment of the golfer's feet. Moreover, the mat has a first set and a second set of on-the-mat-swing-path lines to compare the direction of temporary heat signature left by a divot.
Golf putting training tool
A golf putter training tool having a putter mounting base on top of an artificial green connected through a slot to a linear putting guide located beneath the artificial green. A golfer engages putter mounting base with a golf club, which is held in place by a friction or interference fit next to or on a sponge-like or rubber-like material. Practice shots made on the tool are constrained to be linear back-and-forth by linear putting guide. This constraint helps the golfer develop muscle memory for correctly aiming a put. Putter mounting base has an alignment guide against which the face of the golf club rests, constraining the face of the golf club square to the ball when the golfer makes the stroke. This constraint helps of golfer develop muscle memory for hitting the ball squarely. The tool has accessories such as a gravity ball feed mechanism.
SPORTS BALL TRAINING OR SIMULATING DEVICE
A ball training or simulating device is provided. The ball training or simulating device comprises a modified ball coupled to a base by a motion transfer member. The modified ball allows for a lower, more natural, ball position, while the shape, position, and configuration of the motion transfer member provide for a verisimilar kicking experience. The ball training and/or simulating device can be coupled to a computing device to allow input from the modified ball to be used in a simulated or augmented reality game. A computer-implemented method for conducting a virtual, augmented, or mixed reality game is also provided.
System for analyzing putting motion
A system for analyzing a putting motion includes: mat markers attached to a mat on which a ball is placed; a putter marker attached to a putter for applying an impact to the ball; a mat having a color contrasting with colors of the mat markers, the putter marker and the ball; a camera for photographing the mat markers, the ball, and the putter marker; a mat detection unit for detecting a position of the mat from an image photographed by the camera; an object detection unit for detecting positions of the putter and the ball in real time; a ball calculation unit for calculating a speed and a moving direction of the ball based on the detected ball; and a pointer calculation unit for calculating a pointer position for a menu selection function necessary for a simulator operation by using coordinates of the detected putter.
