Fluid delivery system with load-dependent rotational speed reversal of a rotary pump

A fluid delivery system includes a reservoir for storing fluid, a rotary pump having a first pump port and a second pump port, a first fluid conduit connecting the first pump port to the reservoir, and a second fluid conduit connecting the second pump port to the reservoir. The rotary pump rotates in a first delivery direction in a normal mode and in a second delivery direction in an alternative mode. A first valve separates the first pump port from the reservoir when the rotary pump is in its alternative mode, and a second valve separates the second pump port from the reservoir when the rotary pump is in its normal mode.

OIL PUMP DEVICE

Disclosed is an oil pump device for supplying oil from an oil pan located below a casing of an internal combustion engine or transmission of a vehicle. The oil pump device includes a pump unit placed in the casing and having a pump rotation shaft arranged in parallel to a rotation axis of the internal combustion engine, an electric motor having a motor body mounted to an outer lateral side surface of the casing, a mechanical drive shaft rotatable by an output of the internal combustion engine, a mechanical drive connection mechanism connecting the mechanical drive shaft to one end of the pump rotation shaft, and a reduction gear mechanism placed in the casing and connecting the other end of the pump rotation shaft to a motor rotation shaft of the electric motor.

A system is provided for a turbine engine. This turbine engine system includes a rotating assembly, a bearing and a lubrication system. The bearing is configured with the rotating assembly. The lubrication system is configured to lubricate the bearing. The lubrication system includes a lubricant pump and a lubricant reservoir. The lubricant pump is mechanically coupled with and driven by the rotating assembly. The lubricant pump is configured with the lubricant reservoir so as to be at least partially submersed in lubricant contained within the lubricant reservoir.

Electronic pump motor control

A motor control system for a lubricant pump motor comprises a pump system power input, a motor drive, a current sensor, a lubrication controller, and a drive controller. The pump system power input is configured to supply system power. The motor drive is configured to drive the lubricant pump motor using the system power. The current sensor is disposed between the pump system power input and the motor drive to sense an input current of the system power. The lubrication controller configured to provide motor activation signals. The drive controller is disposed to receive the motor activation signals via an isolated digital input, and to control the motor drive as a function of the sensed input current and a user-defined current set-point, in response to the activation signals.

CONTROL APPARATUS FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

A control apparatus is applied to an internal combustion engine. The engine comprises a water pump, and an oil pump. The apparatus makes a second motor to drive the water pump drive the oil pump, if the first motor to drive the oil pump malfunctions. Consequently, if the first motor malfunctions, the oil pump can be driven by the second motor. Thus, the possibility of seizing of the sliding portions of the engine can be reduced. Further, if the first motor malfunctions, the friction in the engine can be reduced, since the oil pump is not driven by the crank shaft.
