Cooling lubrication system comprising a dry sump
A cooling lubrication system comprises a dry sump, an oil tank, and a pump system that operates an oil circuit in which an oil pump delivers oil from the dry sump into the oil tank, and the pump system comprises a vane cell pump and a gerotor pump on a shaft.
Cooling lubrication system comprising a dry sump
A cooling lubrication system comprises a dry sump, an oil tank, and a pump system that operates an oil circuit in which an oil pump delivers oil from the dry sump into the oil tank, and the pump system comprises a vane cell pump and two gerotor pumps on a shaft.
Pump Stage Assembly, External Gear Pump, Use Of A Pump Stage Assembly and Vehicle Transmission
A pump stage assembly for supplying lubricating oil, comprising: at least two pump suction stages and at least one pump pressure stage. The pump suction stages and the pump pressure stage are spaced apart from one another in a pump housing PG and have a common drive shaft. The pump suction stages are formed by a first assembly of at least three intermeshing external gearwheels and wherein the pump pressure stage is formed by a second assembly of two intermeshing external gearwheels. Here at least two respective tooth center points of the first external gearwheel assembly and the respective tooth center points of the second external gearwheel assembly are arranged in a common plane E-E which intersects the pump housing PG in a longitudinal direction.
Small air-cooled engine assembly with dry sump lubrication system
An engine assembly includes a small air-cooled engine and a dry sump lubrication system including an external oil reservoir, wherein the dry sump lubrication system has an overall oil capacity that provides at least five hundred hours of engine oil life.
Controlling lubricant flow in epicyclic gearbox
A disclosed lubrication system for a turbofan engine includes a pump for driving lubricant through a lubrication circuit, at least one sensor generating a signal indicative of an engine operating condition and at least one valve for controlling a flow of lubricant through the lubrication circuit. A controller controls operation of the valve to vary the flow of lubricant based on the engine operating condition to maintain lubricant flow within predefined operating limits.
Internal combustion engine
An internal combustion engine which can be miniaturized, even where it includes an oil filter between a hydraulic clutch and an oil pump, without significantly increasing the length of an oil passage for the hydraulic clutch, the oil pump and a hydraulic pressure adjustment apparatus. A second oil filter is provided on an oil pan at a lower portion of the internal combustion engine so as to be disposed at a position at which the second oil filter does not overlap with any of a controlling oil pump and a hydraulic pressure adjustment apparatus as viewed in side elevation and which is lower than those of the oil pump and the hydraulic pressure adjustment apparatus.
Internal combustion engine with improved lubrication circuit
An internal combustion engine including a crank chamber housing a crankshaft connected to moving parts able to supply torque to the crankshaft, a lubrication circuit, an oil sump for collecting the lubricating oil, the engine including a separating partition which separates the crank chamber from the oil sump, in which the lubrication circuit includes a first oil pump and a second oil pump, where the first oil pump is fluidically connected in aspiration to the crank chamber and in delivery to the oil sump, the second oil pump being fluidly connected in aspiration to the oil sump and in delivery to the crank chamber by means of the lubrication circuit, to re-introduce pressurised oil in the crank chamber and lubricate the moving parts.
Internal combustion engine with crankcase ventilation
An internal combustion engine having a crankcase with a base and an oil tank, wherein a first connection between the crankcase and the oil tank is formed with a first valve, which is open in the direction from the crankcase to the oil tank and closed in the opposite direction, and a second connection between the crankcase and the oil tank is formed with a second valve, which is open in the direction from the oil tank to the crankcase and is closed in the opposite direction. The first valve is arranged on the base of the crankcase and the second valve is arranged above the first valve.
Engine lubrication system, engine, and vehicle
An engine lubrication system including an oil passage allowing inflow of oil in a crank chamber partitioned off in a crankcase of an engine, at least a part of the oil passage being formed by the crankcase, a scavenge pump accommodated in the crankcase and sucking the oil from the oil passage, an oil tank accumulating the oil sucked by the scavenge pump, and a feed pump supplying, to the engine, the oil accumulated in the oil tank.
Internal combustion engine
An internal combustion engine has an oil circuit for supplying oil to powertrain components and cylinder head components of the internal combustion engine. At least one oil pump and one oil filter module are incorporated into the oil circuit. The oil circuit branches into a powertrain oil gallery and a cylinder head oil gallery in the oil filter module or downstream of the oil filter module in a flow direction. The oil circuit is designed so that a lower oil pressure prevails in the powertrain oil gallery than in the cylinder head oil gallery.
