An aspect of the invention provides a method of synchronising a first clock of a first device and a second clock of a second device comprising. The method includes transmitting 302 a dummy packet from the second device to the first device over a wireless network; determining 304 a time D2 on the second clock associated to a time that the second device initiates transmission of the dummy packet; determining 306 a time D1 on the first clock associated to the time that the first device receives transmission of the dummy packet; transmitting 308 a value of D2 from the second device to the first device; and applying 310 a correction to the first clock based at least partly on a difference between D1 and D2.

A bag toss game for use by one or more players to play user-selected game modes. The bag toss game includes a plurality of target holes arranged on a game board. Each of the target holes includes a sensor that detects when a bag passes through the target hole. Each of the target holes includes one or more LEDs that illuminate the target holes as part of the game mode. The game board includes a controller that both registers the passage of a bag through the target hole as detected by the sensor and illuminates the LEDs. The game board includes a wireless transceiver that allows the controller to communicate with a mobile device. Methods and apparatus relating to predicting outcome in a sporting environment are described. The methods and apparatus are used to relate trajectory performance of an object to body motions and body orientation associated with a generating the trajectory of the object. When equipment is utilized to generate the trajectory of an object, than the effects of equipment motions and equipment orientation can be also related to trajectory performance. The method and apparatus can be used to predict body motions and body orientations that increase the likelihood of achieving a desired outcome including specifying optimum motions and orientations for a particular individual. The method and apparatus may be used in training, coaching and broadcasting environments.

An athletic training system (200) has a data recording system (202) and a data engine (204). The data recording system (202) is configured to record an athletic competition event. The event may have a first team of players competing against a second team of players. The data engine (204) is configured to receive data associated with the recorded athletic competition event. A system for illustrating the flight of a sports ball includes a radar, an imager, and a controller. The imager is configured to image a moving sports ball. The controller is configured to (i) receive, from the imager, an image including the moving sports ball, (ii) receive, from the radar, radar data associated with the moving sports ball, (iii) determine, from the radar data, a portion of a trajectory of the moving sports ball, (iv) alter the image to illustrate the portion of the trajectory relative to the moving sports ball, and (v) output the altered image.
