A swing practice device for emitting light at impact through self-generation enables an impact moment to be checked with the naked eyes without needing a battery by emitting light at an impact time point through self-generation during swinging by using a golf club, a baseball bat, and the like. The swing practice device includes a power generation magnet provided to a shaft so as to slide in the longitudinal direction of the shaft during swinging; a power generation coil provided on the circumference of a section in which the power generation magnet moves; a light-emitting lamp connected to the power generation coil so as to be turned on by the movement of the power generation magnet; and a magnet control means for preventing the movement of the power generation magnet at a set swing speed or lower.

An adjustable barbell or dumbbell or exercise device includes a handle device having a handle bar engageable into grooves of a number of weight members, a number of plates disposed on the handle bar and engageable between the weight members, and the plates each include an engaging element for engaging with the weight members and for anchoring a selected number of weight members to the handle bar, and a detecting device is attached to the handle device and includes a weight detector connected to a processing unit for sending weighing signals to the processing unit, and a displayer for displaying a total weight of the handle device and the weight members.

A fitness apparatus for enabling numerous different fitness routines on a single piece of apparatus and having two side assemblies each having upright metal bars of hollow tubular construction each having fastening holes along its length, generally L-shaped junction portions of said upright bars of similar hollow tubular material and having fastening holes therealong, cross members extending between the two side assemblies holding them in spaced apart locations, floor rests on both side assemblies, a first fitness exercise attachment secured to one of the side assemblies, and, a second fitness exercise attachment, different from the first fitness exercise attachment, secured to the other side assemblies.

An exercise device may comprise at least one joint. The at least one joint may comprise at least one first surface positioned adjacent to at least one second surface, the at least one second surface movable relative to the at least one first surface at at least one interface. A damping grease having a dynamic viscosity greater than about 100 Pascal seconds at standard temperature and pressure may be positioned at the at least one interface between the at least one first surface and the at least one second surface of the at least one joint.

A lightweight sweet spot trainer includes a sleeve that is slipped over the barrel end of any bat. The sleeve covers the barrel over the primary contact area of the bat. The sleeve holds a force sensor placed inside it such that, when slid over the bat, the force sensor is coincident with the sweet spot of the bat. When a ball comes in contact with the sweet spot, the force sensor directly beneath it is triggered such that instantaneous feedback is given to the athlete thereby making him/her aware of accurate sweet spot contact. Moreover, an array of cylindrical contact/force sensors can be positioned such that the user gets feedback that would depend on how far from the sweet spot the user strikes/contacts the ball. The user may be notified by audio, visual, or sensory cues.

A physiotherapeutic device is disclosed. In an embodiment a physiotherapeutic device includes an arm trainer configured to rotationally move arms of a patient, the arm trainer having a first axis and a leg trainer configured to rotationally move legs of the patient, the leg trainer having a second axis, wherein the first and second axes comprise an adjustability in height, wherein a distance of the first axis to the second axis is constant, wherein the arm and leg trainers are adjustable in height so that an adjustment in height results in different exercising positions.

A squash training system includes a sport sensor. The sport sensor includes a sensing unit configured to detect a motion of a racquet and generate three-dimensional (3D) motion data associated with the motion. The sport sensor also includes a memory configured to store the 3D motion data and a communication interface configured to transmit the 3D motion data to a terminal device. The squash system also includes at least one processor configured to receive the 3D motion data from the sport sensor and determine, based on the 3D motion data, at least one characteristic associated with the motion. The processor is also configured to render a graphical representation of the characteristic on a display.

Motion-related, information-indicating systems for football generate and present flight relevant information of a thrown football. These systems include a measuring device and an indicating device. In one embodiment, the system measures the spin speed of a football using a gyro. If the spin speed is higher than a preset value, then an LED light on the football is tuned on. A quarterback assesses his spin speed by whether the LED light is on or off. In another embodiment, the indicating device is an LED light positioned on a ring worn by the quarterback. A transmitter/receiver pair transfers signals from the thrown football to the ring. In another embodiment, the system measures the acceleration of a football using an accelerometer. Further the system indicates the acceleration value on an LCD display monitor positioned on the ground. A quarterback checks the LCD display to access the strength of his throw.

The present invention provides an exercise machine comprising a base, a platform having an upper side adapted in use to support a user and an underside, a support column supporting the platform in a position spaced apart from the base wherein the platform is secured to the support column such that the platform can rotate about two perpendicular axes, and three or more means independently operable to move all or a part of the platform, wherein one or more of the means independently operable to move all or part of the platform is capable in use of adopting at least two positions relative to the platform.

A disclosed state display method includes: determining which of a first period and a second period is dominant in a designated period based on chronological measurement results of vital activities of a subject in the designated period, the first period being a period that has been determined that the subject is in a sleep state, the second period being a period that has been determined that the subject is in a non-sleep state; and changing configuration of a display screen that displays information related to states of the subject in the designated period according to a result of the determining.
