ULTRASOUND-ASSISTED METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN SCR CATALYTIC CONVERTER
The present invention relates to a method for producing automobile exhaust gas catalytic converters, to the catalytic converters as such and to the use thereof. In particular, the method comprises a step which results in a smaller particle size of the catalytically active material used.
JMZ-12, a disordered AEI/CHA family of zeolites, its synthesis and use
The present invention is directed to a method of preparing a synthetic crystalline material, designated as JMZ-12, with a framework built up by the disorder AEI and CHA structures, substantially free of framework phosphorous and prepared preferably in the absence of halides such as fluoride ions. Such method comprises the step of heating a reaction mixture under crystallization conditions for a sufficient period to form a disordered zeolite having both CHA and AEI topologies, wherein the reaction mixture comprises at least one source of aluminum, at least one source of silicon, a source of alkaline or alkaline-earth cations, and a structure directing agent containing at least one source of quaternary ammonium cations and at least one source of alkyl-substituted piperidinium cations in a molar ratio of 0.20 to about 1.4. The resulting zeolites are useful as catalysts, particularly when used in combination with exchanged transition metal(s) and, optionally, rare earth metal(s).
Ruthenium impregnated ceria catalyst
The present disclosure generally provides low-temperature nitrogen oxides (NO.sub.x) adsorbers used in the treatment of a NO.sub.x-containing exhaust gas stream and to methods of preparing and using the same. In particular, the NO.sub.x adsorber composition includes an active metal and a metal oxide support, wherein the metal oxide support includes greater than 50% by weight ceria based on the total weight of the NO.sub.x adsorber composition, and wherein the active metal includes about 0.01% to about 5% by weight ruthenium based on the total weight of the NO.sub.x adsorber composition.
COMPOSITION FOR EXHAUST GAS PURIFICATION, EXHAUST GAS PURIFYING CATALYST CONTAINING SAME, AND EXHAUST GAS PURIFYING CATALYST STRUCTURE
A composition for exhaust gas purification including first alumina including alumina containing lanthanum and second alumina including alumina containing lanthanum. The first alumina has a higher lanthanum content than the second alumina. The second alumina has a larger particle size than the first alumina. The lanthanum content of the first alumina is preferably 2 to 12 mass %, in terms of oxide, based on the total mass of alumina and lanthanum oxide of the first alumina. The lanthanum content of the second alumina is preferably 9 mass % or less, in terms of oxide, based on the total mass of alumina and lanthanum oxide of the second alumina.
Catalytic composition
A catalytic composition for treating a NOx-containing exhaust gas, wherein the composition comprises a copper-substituted small-pore zeolite comprising: i) Ce and/or La in a total amount of about 5 to about 400 g/ft.sup.3; and ii) Nd and/or Nb in a total amount of about 5 to about 400 g/ft.sup.3.
CATALYTIC SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR THE REMOVAL OF HCN FROM OFF-GASES OF A FLUID CRACKING UNIT USING SAME, AND FCC UNIT ASSEMBLY INCLUDING THE CATALYTIC SYSTEM
Systems and methods directed at removing HCN from an FCC process flue gas (and/or generated in the catalyst system reactions themselves) such that the final HCN output is satisfactory; while, in so doing, avoiding undesirable levels of other pollutants contained in that exhaust gas such as NOx. A system includes an assembly having a fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) unit generating a flue gas with HCN and NOx and a catalyst device placed in the flue gas line to remove HCN and NOx. The catalyst device having one or more SCR catalytic articles, as in one free of platinum group metal material (PGM) or a dual functioning SCR catalyst with PGM, or a combination of each. The assembly can be provided with an ammonia supplier and optionally an H2O supplier with associated injection for supply into the flue gas upstream of a catalytic article(s).
PASSIVE NOx ADSORBER
A NOx adsorber catalyst for treating an exhaust gas from a diesel engine. The NOx adsorber catalyst comprises a first region comprising a NOx adsorber material comprising a first molecular sieve catalyst. The first molecular sieve catalyst comprises a first noble metal and a first molecular sieve, and the first molecular sieve contains the noble metal. The first molecular sieve has an STI Framework Type.
Oxidation catalyst for hydrocarbons produced by an internal combustion engine
An oxidation catalyst is described for treating hydrocarbons in an exhaust gas produced by an internal combustion engine, wherein the oxidation catalyst comprises a region disposed on a substrate, wherein the region comprises ruthenium (Ru) supported on a support material comprising a refractory oxide.
Deterioration diagnosis apparatus for exhaust gas purification apparatus
The present invention provides a deterioration diagnosis apparatus for an exhaust gas purification apparatus, including a first sensor that measures the oxygen concentration of the exhaust gas flowing into the exhaust gas purification apparatus, a second sensor that measures the oxygen concentration of the exhaust gas flowing out of the exhaust gas purification apparatus, and diagnosing means for diagnosing deterioration of the exhaust gas purification apparatus on the basis of a difference that appears between a measurement value of the first sensor and a measurement value of the second sensor when the air-fuel ratio of the exhaust gas flowing into the exhaust pas purification apparatus is switched from a lean air-fuel ratio to a rich air-fuel ratio, wherein, when the air-fuel ratio of the exhaust gas is switched from a lean air-fuel ratio to a rich air-fuel ratio, a water-gas shift reaction is generated upstream of the first sensor.
