ACCUMULATOR FOR AN ENGINE EXHAUST TREATMENT SYSTEM
In accordance with one aspect of the present disclosure, an accumulator is provided for an engine exhaust treatment system. The accumulator includes a container, an inlet portion for receiving exhaust treatment fluid, a conduit in communication with the inlet portion of the container to withdraw exhaust treatment fluid from the inlet portion, and an outlet portion configured to receive exhaust treatment fluid from the inlet portion and having an outlet for discharging exhaust treatment fluid. The accumulator includes a weir separating the inlet portion and the outlet portion that permits exhaust treatment fluid in the inlet portion to flow into the outlet portion.
Storage tank
The invention relates to a storage tank (12) of a metering system (10) for introducing a reducing agent (32) in an exhaust gas tract of an internal combustion engine. The storage tank (12) comprises at least one opening (50) for mounting components (20, 24) and openings (46, 48, 63) for filling and emptying as well as venting (62). All openings (46, 48, 50, 62) are arranged above a region of the storage tank (12) flooded by the reducing agent (32).
Urea common rail
An exhaust after-treatment system includes an exhaust treatment component, a tank for holding an exhaust treatment fluid, and an exhaust treatment fluid dosing system. The dosing system includes a fluid distributor providing exhaust treatment fluid under pressure to a plurality of dosing modules that dose exhaust treatment fluid into the exhaust stream and a return for returning unused exhaust treatment fluid to the tank. A valve is positioned between the fluid distributor and the return and is configured to allow a flow of exhaust treatment fluid from the return to the fluid distributor before being returned to the tank during a purge operation. A controller is configured to open the valve and allow communication between the return and the fluid distributor during the purge operation such that unused exhaust treatment fluid drains during the purge operation.
Pump purge for urea dosing system
According to one embodiment, a diesel exhaust fluid purging system includes a metering valve with a supply port and a delivery port. The purging system also includes a pump assembly that is fluidly connected to the supply port of the metering valve. The pump assembly includes a pump and a single supply line that is fluidly connectable with a diesel exhaust fluid source. The purging system further includes an injection assembly that is fluidly connected to the delivery port of the metering valve. The injection assembly includes an air supply line that is fluidly connectable with an air supply source. Additionally, the purging system includes a controller in electrical communication with the metering valve, the pump assembly, and the injection assembly. The controller is configured to purge the pump assembly of residual diesel exhaust fluid using air from the air supply line.
VEHICLE STORAGE SYSTEM AND CONVERTOR FOR USE IN SUCH A SYSTEM
A vehicle storage system, including: a tank configured to contain vapor or liquid and vapor, and a gas convertor to chemically convert at least one part of the vapor contained in the tank into liquid reaction products. The gas convertor contains, in use, a biological catalyst for the conversion of the vapor.
Filling device for a motor vehicle operating fluid container
The present invention discloses a filling device (1) for a motor vehicle operating fluid container (3). The filling device (1) comprises a mouth hole connection piece (11), into which a dispensing valve (40) can be introduced in order to fill the operating fluid container (3). The filling device (1) further comprises a compensation chamber (24) to which the mouth hole connection piece (11) is connected in fluid terms. A connection piece (21) of the filling device (1) is arranged between the operating fluid container (3) and the compensation chamber (24) and is connected in fluid terms to the operating fluid container (3) and the compensation chamber (24). The filling device (1) is distinguished in that the connection piece (21) protrudes into the compensation chamber (24), the connection piece (21) is arranged so as to face the mouth hole connection piece (11) and to be spaced apart therefrom, the connection piece (21) is surrounded by the compensation chamber (24), and a dispensing valve (40) can be introduced through the mouth hole connection piece (11) into the connection piece (21).
EXHAUST GAS SYSTEM
An exhaust gas system includes an arrangement for conveying an exhaust gas stream and a thermodynamic engine connected to the exhaust gas stream conveying arrangement for recovery of heat from the exhaust gas stream. The thermodynamic engine includes a working fluid circulation circuit. The exhaust gas system includes at least one working fluid release arrangement which is connected between the working fluid circulation circuit and the exhaust, gas conveying arrangement for releasing the working fluid from the working fluid circulation circuit to the exhaust: gas conveying arrangement. The exhaust gas stream conveying arrangement includes at least one exhaust gas treatment unit. Further, the working fluid release arrangement is connected upstream of or directly to the exhaust gas treatment unit.
Tank Enclosure with Fan
A tank mounted into an enclosure with insulated sides is assembled into an engine compartment of a construction machine. A fan is coupled to the enclosure to draw air through the enclosure to cool a fluid in the tank, such as diesel exhaust fluid. A discharge pipe is used to exhaust the air from the enclosure external to the engine compartment.
