ENGINE SYSTEM
An engine system in which blow-by gas with a specific gravity less than 1 with reference to air is generatable includes a cylinder block. The cylinder block includes a cylinder and a crank chamber which are arranged in an up/down direction, the crank chamber being positioned below the cylinder. An internal peripheral face of the cylinder block has a ventilation port that connects to a ventilation passage that connects an internal space of the crank chamber with an external space out of the cylinder block, and that is open. The ventilation port is placed above a center in the up/down direction in the crank chamber.
ENGINE COOLING APPARATUS
Provided is an engine cooling apparatus capable of preventing deterioration in reliability of a cylinder head of an engine during cold engine operation. The engine cooling apparatus comprises an engine cooling water path, a heater core cooling path, and a radiator cooling water path, and further comprises a switching valve for switching among these cooling water paths. The switching valve is operable, when the temperature of an area around an exhaust valve is raised to a value greater than, e.g., 150 C., even in a situation where the temperature of cooling water for cooling the engine is equal to or less than, e.g., 50 C., to switch from the in-engine cooling water path to the heater core cooling water path.
HEAT EXCHANGING MEMBER, HEAT EXCHANGER AND HEAT EXCHANGER WITH PURIFIER
A heat exchanging member including a hollow pillar shaped honeycomb structure having partition walls defining cells, the cells penetrating from a first end face to a second end face to form flow paths for a first fluid, an inner peripheral wall, and an outer peripheral wall; and a covering member being configured to cover the outer peripheral wall of the pillar shaped honeycomb structure. The heat exchanging member is configured to perform heat exchange between the first fluid and a second fluid flowing through an outer side of the covering member. In the heat exchanging member, in a cross section of the pillar shaped honeycomb structure perpendicular to a flow path direction of the first fluid, the cells are radially provided, and each of the inner peripheral wall and the outer peripheral wall has a thickness larger than that of each of the partition walls.
Cylinder head for an internal combustion engine
The invention relates to a cylinder head (1) for an internal combustion engine having at least one cylinder, having at least one valve seat ring (3) for a lifting valve, wherein the valve seat ring (3) is surrounded by an annular cooling channel (4) for a coolant which is formed at least partially into the cylinder head (1), wherein the cooling channel (4) surrounds the valve seat ring at least partially and extends between at least one inlet (5, 15, 25) and at least one outlet (6). In order to reduce the valve wear, it is provided that, as viewed in a section perpendicularly with respect to the axis (3a) of the valve seat ring (3), the cooling channel (4) has at least one preferably substantially crescent-shaped bulge (10) in the region of the inlet (5, 55, 25) and/or the outlet (6).
Cylinder head for an internal combustion engine
The invention relates to a cylinder head (1) for an internal combustion engine having at least one cylinder, having at least one valve seat ring (3) for a lifting valve, wherein the valve seat ring (3) is surrounded by an annular cooling channel (4) for a coolant which is formed at least partially into the cylinder head (1), wherein the cooling channel (4) surrounds the valve seat ring at least partially and extends between at least one inlet (5, 15, 25) and at least one outlet (6). In order to reduce the valve wear, it is provided that, as viewed in a section perpendicularly with respect to the axis (3a) of the valve seat ring (3), the cooling channel (4) has at least one preferably substantially crescent-shaped bulge (10) in the region of the inlet (5, 55, 25) and/or the outlet (6).
Engine system having integrated intercooler
An integrated intercooler apparatus, which is supplied with intake air and recirculating exhaust gas, and cools the intake air and the recirculating exhaust gas, may include: a heat exchanger in which gas passageways through which the intake air and the recirculating exhaust gas pass and coolant passageways through which a coolant passes are alternately formed from a front side to a rear side thereof; and a variable device which controls an area of an exhaust gas supply region and an area of an intake air supply region at a front side of an inlet side of the heat exchanger.
Engine system having integrated intercooler
An integrated intercooler apparatus, which is supplied with intake air and recirculating exhaust gas, and cools the intake air and the recirculating exhaust gas, may include: a heat exchanger in which gas passageways through which the intake air and the recirculating exhaust gas pass and coolant passageways through which a coolant passes are alternately formed from a front side to a rear side thereof; and a variable device which controls an area of an exhaust gas supply region and an area of an intake air supply region at a front side of an inlet side of the heat exchanger.
Multicylinder engine cooling apparatus
A multicylinder engine cooling apparatus includes: an exhaust side cooing passage individually formed to extend in an exhaust side of the cylinder head in which the plurality of exhaust pipes are disposed; an intake side cooling passage individually formed to extend in an intake side of the cylinder head in which the plurality of intake pipes are disposed; a first downstream cooling water passage through which the cooling water having passed through the exhaust side cooling passage flows; a second downstream cooling water passage that allows the cooling water having passed through the exhaust side cooling passage and then the intake side cooling passage to flow to the first downstream cooling water passage at some midpoint of the first downstream cooling water passage; and a switching valve that switches a flow passage of the cooling water discharged from the exhaust side cooling passage between the intake side cooling passage and the first downstream cooling water passage.
ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE
An engine cooling system for a vehicle may relate for flowing the coolant from the front side to the rear side based on an arrangement direction of the cylinder and simultaneously cooling the coolant by a cross flow type to flow from an exhaust side to an intake side between each combustion chambers while separating and cooling the coolant flowing through the cylinder block and the cylinder head, maximizing an entire cooling efficiency through a flow control of the coolant and reducing a fuel consumption.

An engine cooling system for a vehicle may relate for flowing the coolant from the front side to the rear side based on an arrangement direction of the cylinder and simultaneously cooling the coolant by a cross flow type to flow from an exhaust side to an intake side between each combustion chambers while separating and cooling the coolant flowing through the cylinder block and the cylinder head, maximizing an entire cooling efficiency through a flow control of the coolant and reducing a fuel consumption.
