MULTI-FAN COOLING SYSTEM
Cooling systems of a work vehicle that provide targeted cooling, regenerative cooling and/or a combination therein. A cooling system includes plural fans configured to provide airflow across a radiator and a fan controller in communication with the plural fans. The fan controller is configured to receive operating condition data associated with at least one of the radiator and an engine. The fan controller is configured to determine a total target heat rejection value based on the operating condition data; determine a plurality of target fan operation values for the plural fans, based on the total target heat rejection value and the operating condition data; and control operation of the plural fans at plural independent fan speeds based on the plural fan operation values.
Dry friction clutch for a vehicle accessory
A fail-safe friction clutch assembly for a vehicle accessory, particularly to drive a vehicle cooling pump, and more particularly as part of a dual mode drive for a cooling pump, together with an electric motor. The friction clutch assembly includes a friction plate member connected to a central rotatable shaft member used for operating the vehicle accessory. A pair of friction lining members are positioned on opposite sides of the friction plate member. An armature member is spring biased to axially force the friction plate member and friction lining member against a housing or cover which is rotating at input speed. A solenoid assembly is used to overcome the spring bias and pull the armature and friction plate member away from the housing.
APPARATUS AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING HEAT OF ENGINE COMPARTMENT OF VEHICLE WHEN STOPPED
An apparatus and method of controlling heat of an engine compartment when stopped are provided. The apparatus and method of controlling heat of an engine compartment improve fuel efficiency by managing heat of the engine compartment when a vehicle is stopped after driving.
Method for cleaning cooling system of a work machine and system thereof
A control system for controlling a work machine includes an engine for producing power to propel the work machine during a normal operating mode, a cooling system for cooling at least the engine during the normal operating mode, and a controller for controlling the cleaning system during the normal operating mode and a clean operating mode. During the normal operating mode, the engine is running and the controller operably controls a cooling fan of the cooling system to rotate in a first rotational direction to produce a first air flow in a first direction. During the clean operating mode, the engine is not running and the controller operably controls the cooling fan to rotate in a second rotational direction to produce a second air flow in a second direction. The first rotational direction is opposite the second rotational direction, and the first direction is opposite the second direction.

SURGICAL STAPLING INSTRUMENT HAVING A RELEASABLE BUTTRESS MATERIAL
A surgical stapler including an anvil, a staple cartridge, and a buttress material removably retained to the anvil and/or staple cartridge. In various embodiments, the staple cartridge can include at least one staple removably stored therein which can, when deployed, or fired, therefrom, contact the buttress material and remove the buttress material from the anvil and/or staple cartridge. In at least one embodiment, the anvil can include at least one lip and/or groove configured to removably retain the buttress material to the anvil until deformable members extending from the surgical staple are bent by the anvil and are directed toward and contact the buttress material.
Surgical stapling instrument having a releasable buttress material
A staple cartridge comprising a cartridge body, staples, and a sled is disclosed. The cartridge body comprises a longitudinal slot separating the cartridge body into a first lateral side and a second lateral side. The cartridge body further comprises a first longitudinal row of staple cavities defined in the first lateral side and a second longitudinal row of staple cavities defined in the first lateral side. The staple cavities of the first longitudinal row of staple cavities are angled toward the longitudinal slot. Gaps are present between the staple cavities in the first longitudinal row of staple cavities. The staple cavities of the second longitudinal row of staple cavities are angled toward the longitudinal slot. The staple cavities of the second longitudinal row of staple cavities are laterally aligned with the gaps. The staples are removably stored in the first and second longitudinal rows of staple cavities.
Fan assembly for a motor vehicle
A fan assembly including a first cooling fan arranged with respect to an air flow direction downstream of a heat exchanger and a second cooling fan. The first cooling fan is a radial fan that draws cooling air axially and expels the cooling air radially and the second cooling fan is an axial fan that draws cooling air axially and expels the cooling air axially. The axial fan is arranged downstream of the heat exchanger and laterally adjacent to the radial fan in a plane parallel to the rear side of the heat exchanger in a plane parallel to the front side of the heat exchanger.

Electric motor and control unit cooling system
The present disclosure is directed to a cooling system for a system, such as an electric power assisted steering (EPAS) system and the components of such system, such as a motor. The cooling system includes a temperature sensor coupled to an electric motor of the EPAS system, one or more fluid reservoirs, and a fluid transfer device coupled to the motor and to the first fluid reservoirs. The fluid transfer device extends along a length of the motor. The cooling system further includes a pump coupled to the fluid reservoir and the fluid transfer device, a control unit coupled to the sensor and the pump. The control unit is configured to activate the pump in response to temperature detected by the sensor being greater than or equal to a first threshold motor temperature. The pump transfers the fluid in the fluid reservoirs to the fluid transfer device for absorbing the heat of the motor. The fluid transfer device is configured to contain the transferred fluid.
