An outboard motor includes a water jacket provided in a water-cooled engine, a first channel configured to allow a downstream-side end of a coolant flow of the water jacket to communicate with the external air, a thermo-valve provided between a downstream-side end of the coolant flow of the water jacket and an upstream-side end of the coolant flow of the first channel, a second channel configured to allow an upstream side of the coolant flow of the thermo-valve to communicate with the external air, and a second valve configured to open or close a second channel.
Dewatering internal combustion engine
A dewatering device for an internal combustion engine having an engine body with a lower portion, an exterior wall, and a combustion chamber formed in the engine body, the dewatering device comprising a normally closed dewatering valve detachably secured to the exterior wall, a valve activating member, and a bracket for supporting the valve activating member on the lower portion of the engine body. The dewatering valve is spring loaded and moves between a normally closed position and an open position upon operation of the valve activating member, thereby allowing evacuation of water from the combustion chamber.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AUTOMOTIVE FLUIDS MANAGEMENT AND MAINTENANCE SYSTEM (AFMMS)
Systems and methods disclosed provide an automotive fluids management and maintenance system (AFMMS) that manages and maintains fluids within vehicles by accurately and in a controlled manner directing the propulsion of these fluids into vehicle's internal components and also accurately and in a controlled manner draining fluids out of vehicle's internal components. The systems and methods enable a technician to dispense any desired fluid and pump the same into a vehicle internal component with speed, efficiency, accuracy, and in a very clean and unwasteful manner. The AFMMS is powered by a standard shop air supply. Once charged with air pressure, the AFMMS becomes mobile and is without any attachments, e.g., to a wall air supply, thus making it safe and convenient to be used around any shop environment, as well as outside in parking lots.
Marine engine drainage and coolant monitoring system with a single point drain
A marine engine quick drain system is provided having multiple drainage tubes connecting each drainage point on the marine engine to a water removal device. The water removal device is operable to drain water from all drain ports within the engine simultaneously, routing all drain ports to single point drain which is preferably connected to vacuum for evacuating fluids from the marine engine. Fittings are provided to connect each drainage tube to each drainage point on the marine engine. Integrated within each fitting is a fluid sensor which indicates the presence of water in each part of the engine. Each sensor is connected back to a central control console having a microprocessor which will control the water removal device and verify that the marine engine has been drained properly or if there is water in the marine engine.
APPARATUS FOR REPLACING COOLANT FOR VEHICLE
An apparatus for replacing coolant includes a communication unit, a pressure gauge, a flexible tube, a conical plug, a valve and a vacuum producer. The communication unit includes a first port, a second port and a third port in communication with one another. The pressure gauge is connected to the third port. The flexible tube is connected to the first port. The conical plug includes a liquid channel extending throughout the conical plug. The liquid channel is connected to the flexible tube. The valve includes a switch and a pneumatic quick coupling device. The switch is connected to the second port to selectively allow or stop communication of the pneumatic quick coupling device with the second port. The vacuum producer includes a pump and a hollow insert extending from the pump. The hollow insert is adapted for connection to the pneumatic quick coupling device so that the pump is operable to produce vacuum in the valve.
VEHICLE PUMP ASSEMBLY AND OFF-ROAD VEHICLE
A vehicle pump assembly 13 includes a pump 30 having a mechanical seal 35 sealing a cooling medium and a drain hose 50 attached to the pump 30. The pump 30 includes an introduction chamber 40 separated by the mechanical seal 35 and configured such that the cooling medium having leaked from the mechanical seal 35 is introduced thereinto, and the drain hose 50 communicates with the introduction chamber 40. The internal volume of the drain hose 50 is three times the volume of the introduction chamber 40 or more.
Liquid filling device
A liquid filling device is provided, including: a base, a connecting assembly, a pressure gauge, at least one filling assembly and a negative pressure generator. The base includes a channel, and the channel extends through the base and includes at least one liquid inlet, a first gas port, a second gas port, an assembling opening and a measuring port. The negative pressure generator includes a tube body and a venturi structure, and the tube body is disposed through the base and includes a penetrating portion disposed through the channel. The penetrating portion has at least one through hole, and the venturi structure is received within the penetrating portion and communicated with the channel. When a gas is passed through the venturi structure, a negative pressure is generated to extract a gas in the container to be filled.
