Since biogas is produced by an anaerobic digester from human, animal, kitchen and agriculture's wastes, Itis a short term recycled product from the photosynthesis of CO.sub.2, and has a net zero carbon emission. The sulfur compounds in the biogas can be removed by the following steps: (1) converting all sulfur compounds into H.sub.2S by the hydrogen produced from the biogas over Pt group metal catalysts; (2) adsorbing the H.sub.2S at high temperature by the regenerable Pt group metal catalyst and adsorbents. The desulfurized biogas is further converted by an ATR/CPO reformer or a steam generating reformer to produce various reformates.

A piston arrangement for a clean combustion engine, such as a hydrogen engine. The piston arrangement comprises a piston configured for reciprocal movement inside a cylinder having a cylinder wall, the piston having a piston head configured to face a first compartment with pressurized gas, a sealing arrangement comprising at least one sealing ring configured to be arranged to seal the piston to the cylinder wall and separating the first compartment from a second compartment, and a water channel extending from an interior of the piston to the sealing ring to provide water for lubricating the sealing ring. The piston head comprises a pumping element configured to be arranged to pressurize the water in the water channel by pressurised gas in the first compartment.

Electrolytic cells for electrolysis of water, the electrolytic cells including two sub-cells, one containing the anode, the other the cathode. The electrolytic cells are configured so that at least the hydrogen formed due to electrolysis is passed through a deflection tube and into an electrolyte outside of the electrolytic sub-cell. Exhaust gas is treated onboard a vehicle. Solar energy is converted into electricity, which is used to power an electrochemical cell mounted onboard the vehicle. Oxygen and hydrogen are produced by the electrochemical cell. Heat and the oxygen produced by the electrochemical cell are provided to a particulate matter filter onboard the vehicle, thereby oxidizing particulate matter disposed on the particulate matter filter.

A method of operating a vessel includes providing hydrogen or a fuel mixture containing hydrogen and a hydrocarbon fuel to a power generator disposed on the vessel, and providing power from the power generator to an electrical load of the vessel.

The present invention concerns a closed cycle combustion system for endothermic engines M, comprising: —Means Z for filtering combustion air entering in endothermic engines M; —Means A for molecular re-aggregation of the oxygen supplied by said means Z and entering in endothermic engines M; —Tanks T for fuels or composite mixtures for feeding endothermic engines M; —Means E for producing oxygen and hydrogen; —Means I for the introduction into endothermic engines M of fuels or composite mixtures from tanks T, together with oxygen and hydrogen from said means E; —Means R for exhaust gases recovery released by endothermic engines M and for the partial reintroduction of said exhaust gases into combustion or reaction chambers of said endothermic engines M; —Means RD for cooling the exhaust gases reintroduced into said combustion or reaction chambers of said endothermic engines M; —Means C1 and C2 for filtering the exhaust gases released from endothermic engines M, and supplied by means R; —Means S for confining the polluting substances obtained from the filtering of said exhaust gases released from said endothermic engines M, supplied by said means R.
