Basketball sensing apparatus
An apparatus includes a non-transitory computer-readable medium to direct a processor to: receive signals indicating a made basketball shot or a missed basketball shot of a basketball by a person during a basketball shooting session, receive signals indicating a location from which each made basketball shot is made, and determine and output a user cumulative score for the person for the basketball shooting session, the cumulative score being based upon the location of each made basketball shot.
VIDEO REBROADCASTING WITH MULTIPLEXED COMMUNICATIONS AND DISPLAY VIA SMART MIRRORS
During a first time period and for a first user, a second user is automatically selected based on competitive data of the first user and competitive data of the second user, and a workout selection is sent to cause a video of a workout to be displayed during a second time period on a smart mirror of the first user and a smart mirror of the second user. During the second time period, a live stream of the first user exercising is displayed at the smart mirror of the second user, and a live stream of the second user exercising is received and displayed at the smart mirror of the first user. During the second time period, a performance score of the first user and a performance score of the second user is displayed at the smart mirrors of the first user and the second user.
ACTIVITY AND WORKOUT UPDATES
The present disclosure generally relates to navigating, viewing, and sharing activity and workout data and interacting with workout and/or activity applications. In some examples, scrolling of activity data is based on the content being displayed. In some examples, friends' activity data may be viewed. In some examples, a notification and workout data for a friend's completed workout is received and displayed. In some example, the activity data received from friends is viewed and managed. In some examples, workout data for a multi-segment workout is displayed in a three-dimensional stack on a map. In some examples, a workout application operates in a limited mode until a touch input is received with a characteristic intensity that is greater than a threshold intensity.
POSITION-BASED LASER RANGE FINDER
Techniques are provided for implementing a system for determining the range to a target object and orienting a map. In implementations, GPS data is used to determine the location of the system and an approximate distance from that location to the target. Based on the approximate distance, one or more parameters of operation of the system may be set. Modes of operation may be entered to further adjust parameters of operation. An optical pulse may then be projected at the target and its reflections collected and analyzed to calculate a distance measurement. A visual display may be adjusted based on the calculated distance estimate to the target.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DETECTING PHYSICAL PERFORMANCE
A device for sensing a passing athlete. The device has one or more signal sources for irradiating distinct segments of space about the device. One or more sensors are associated with the segments of space, and are arranged to sense a signal reflected off an athlete. The sensor(s) output a sensor signal indicating whether an athlete is present in each segment based on whether a reflected signal is detected from that segment. The segments are angularly positioned about the device so that the sensor(s) signals may be assessed to determine angular progression of the athlete relative to the device.
User interface system for an interactive exercise machine
A user interface for an interactive exercise system includes a display module held by a mechanical support system, with the display module able to display a video of a trainer. The trainer can be presented in full body view against a black background and a mirror element attached to at least partially cover the display module.
SMART GOLF PIN SYSTEM
The disclosure herein provides a smart golf pin system and golf GPS device with a mechanism to automatically receive golf hole cup information and display the golf hole information on the golf GPS device. More specifically, the golf GPS device receives data from a plurality of GPS modules installed on the golf pins located throughout the golf course and based on its current location, selects a set of GPS coordinates corresponding to the current hole that the golfer is playing, and displays a distance from the golf GPS device to the actual hole cup location in the current hole, thereby allowing the golfer to fine tune his or her approach accordingly.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ESTIMATING MOVEMENT VARIABLES
A fitness tracking system for generating movement variables corresponding to movement of a user includes a monitoring device, a personal electronic device, and a remote processing server. The monitoring device is configured to be worn or carried by the user and includes a movement sensor configured to collect movement data. The personal electronic device is operably connected to the monitoring device. At least one of the personal electronic device and the monitoring device is configured to calculate feature data by applying a set of rules to the movement data, to calculate raw speed data corresponding to a speed of the user from the subset of the movement data, and to calculate raw distance data corresponding to a distance moved by the user from the subset of the movement data. The remote processing server includes a machine learning model for processing at least the feature data.
Athletic performance sensing and/or tracking systems and methods
Athletic performance sensing and/or tracking systems include components for measuring or sensing athletic performance data and/or for storing and/or displaying desired information associated with the athletic performance to the user (or others). Such systems can allow users a wide variety of options in creating workouts, selecting and presenting media content during the athletic performance, etc., e.g., to help keep users entertained and motivated. In some instances, user feedback may be used, optionally in combination with objective data relating to a workout, to control features of the workout routine, to control the music or other media content selected and/or presented, and/or to control features of future workout routines and/or the presented media content.
DELIVERY SYSTEM FOR TARGETED LAUNCHING OF SPORTS PROJECTILE
A sports projectile delivery system may control the operation of a launcher to cause an American football or other sports projectile to be delivered to a target location on a field. In some aspects, the system can track player movements on the field, e.g., through the use of a tracking device mounted on the player, enabling the ball etc. to be launched to a player in anticipation of where the player will go. The system may include additional customization and/or logging options, e.g., permitting a player to designate a body position (e.g., above the head or near the knees) for delivery of the ball, designate a speed or hang time for delivery, or provide player data and analytics to an online or otherwise connected database.
