EXERCISE SENSING METHOD, APPARATUS AND SYSTEM

An exercise sensing method, an exercise sensing apparatus and an exercise sensing system are provided. The exercise sensing system includes a computing device, a storage device and at least one biophysical quantity sensor disposed on at least one muscle portion of a user. In the method, a current muscle strength of the muscle portion when the user performs an exercise is monitored by the biophysical quantity sensor. An exercise history of the user is accessed to obtain a muscle strength reference value of the muscle portion when the user previously performed the exercise. The current muscle strength is compared with the muscle strength reference value so as to adjust an exercise intensity of the exercise.

A method for determining a direction of a spin axis of a rotating apparatus which includes an XYZ-magnetic field sensor. The method includes determining a global direction of a magnetic field; rotating the rotating apparatus around the spin axis, measuring at least one magnetic field value as a function of time with the XYZ-magnetic field sensor when the rotating apparatus is rotating about the spin axis, computing a magnetic field component of the magnetic field in a direction of a local body co-ordinate of the spin axis of the rotating apparatus from the measured at least one magnetic field value and determining a direction of the spin axis using the computed magnetic field component of the magnetic field and the determined global direction of the magnetic field.

Apparatus for natural torso and limbs tracking and feedback for electronic interaction
11123604 · 2021-09-21 · ·

An apparatus for natural torso and limbs tracking and feedback for electronic interaction with fall safety support. The apparatus comprises a body harness worn on the body of a user, a support structure designed to bear the weight of the user in the event of a stumble, trip, or fall, and a plurality of tethers attached at one end to the harness and at the other end to the support structure. One or more sensors are integrated into the system to measure aspects of the user's movement and used as input to control a computer system. In the event of stumble, trip, or fall, all of, or a portion of, the user's body weight is borne by the tethers as a safety mechanism to prevent injury. The system is designed to be used with virtual reality systems wherein the user's vision is blocked or obscured by a virtual reality visor.

Bouncing shoe-holder

A bouncing shoe-holder includes a shoe holder for holding a shoe worn by a user, a bouncing unit and a fastening unit. The bouncing unit includes an upper resilient member having a downward curving configuration and a lower resilient member having an upward curving configuration coupled thereto in an end-to-end manner to define a bouncing cavity therebetween. The fastening unit includes a fastening member supported within the bouncing cavity to directly fasten the bouncing unit at a bottom side of the shoe holder.

The present disclosure discloses a step counting device that includes a motion detection circuit, a storage circuit and a processing circuit. The motion detection circuit detects a body movement to generate a detection signal. The processing circuit executes computer executable commands to execute the steps outlined below. The detection signal is received from the motion detection circuit. Key data points from the detection signal and representing a simplified waveform are approximated and stored in the storage circuit, each corresponding to a turning data point within a predetermined time period of the detection signal. Periodic waveform sections in the simplified waveform are identified, wherein an error value of waveform parameters between each two of the periodic waveform sections is smaller than a predetermined value. A step group count including a left step and a right step corresponding to each of the periodic waveform sections is accumulated.
