MULTI-SENSOR EVENT CORRELATION SYSTEM
A sensor event detection and tagging system that analyzes data from multiple sensors to detect an event and to automatically select or generate tags for the event. Sensors may include for example a motion capture sensor and one or more additional sensors that measure values such as temperature, humidity, wind or elevation. Tags and event detection may be performed by a microprocessor associated with or integrated with the sensors, or by a computer that receives data from the microprocessor. Tags may represent for example activity types, players, performance levels, or scoring results. The system may analyze social media postings to confirm or augment event tags. Users may filter and analyze saved events based on the assigned tags. The system may create highlight and fail reels filtered by metrics and by tags.
Method and system for measuring physical parameters in a trampoline competition
For the method and system (1) for measuring physical parameters, several motion sensor assemblies (2) are arranged in different positions on a trampoline (10) and activated to measure any motion over time during jumps performed by a competitor on a trampoline. Following the processing of measurements made in each sensor assembly, data signals are transmitted to a base station (25). As a result of the various measurements received over time from each sensor assembly, the base station determines a time of flight for each of the competitor's jumps, and a position of contact of the competitor on the bed (21) to award points to the competitor for the performance of a determined number of jumps during the competition.
Deciding weight and repetitions in a gym machine with no mechanical impact
A weight pin for use with a stacked weight exercise machine includes a handle portion, and a shaft portion extending outwardly from the handle portion. The shaft portion is configured to be removably positioned adjacent to one or more weights of the exercise machine to selectively engage the one or more weights during use of the exercise machine. The weight pin also includes interrogation circuitry arranged relative to the handle portion, the interrogation circuitry configured to read information from the adjacent one or more weights.
ERGONOMIC HELD WEIGHT UNITS, RELATED COMPUTING DEVICE APPLICATIONS AND METHOD OF USE
Hand held weight units of light weight manufactured as a solid unit, a shell unit with core insert combinations or modular units with interlocking ends. Shell units with core inserts and modular interlocking units allow for the changing of held weight by inserting or removing inserts or by locking or unlocking of modular weight unit sets creating varying held weight. The weight units are primarily used with upper body exercises during aerobic exercises in the home, outdoors, or in a gym setting such as walking or running to vary the intensity of workout during use.
Motion training aid with stimulator
A training aid stimulator for providing fast perceptive feedback is provided. The training aid stimulator includes a first skin electrode for making electrical contact to the body of a user and a second skin electrode for making electrical contact to the body of a user. A body capacitance charging module is connected to the first skin electrode and a discharge module is connected to the second skin electrode for a feedback discharging of a body capacitance. A processor is connected to the body capacitance charging module for controlling the charging of a body capacitance to a predetermined first voltage level, wherein the processor is connected to the discharge module for controlling a feedback discharge of the body capacitance. The stimulator further comprises a measurement module for measuring the level of charge of the body capacitance.
MOTION TRAINING AID WITH STIMULATOR
A training aid stimulator for providing fast perceptive feedback is disclosed. The training aid stimulator includes a first skin electrode and a second skin electrode both for making electrical contact to the body of a user, a charging module, a discharge module connected to one or more of the skin electrodes for a feedback discharging, and a processor for controlling the charging of a capacitor equivalent to a predetermined first voltage level, wherein the processor further being connected to the discharge module for controlling a feedback discharge of the capacitor equivalent. The stimulator comprises a voltage measurement module for measuring the level of charge of the capacitor equivalent, and the processor is configured for keeping the stimulator ready to discharge by repeatedly measuring the level of charge and by providing a maintenance charging when the voltage over said capacitance equivalent is at or below a predetermined second voltage level.
SENSOR EQUIPPED RESISTANCE TRAINING GRIP
An example exercise tracker includes a grip for receiving an adjustable amount of exercise resistance, a force sensor having one or more strain gauges programmed to output a force signal representing a force applied to the grip, and a motion sensor programmed to detect movement of the grip and output a motion signal. The exercise tracker further includes a processor programmed to receive the force signal and the motion signal and determine, from the force signal and the motion signal, exercise data including the amount of resistance applied to the grip.
PLAYGROUND CLIMBING STRUCTURES
Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to playground climbing structures that provide a pathway defined by a lower surface and bound on each side by a sidewall. The structures may comprise sensory play activities on the interior of the sidewalls as well as on the exterior of the sidewalls. The climbing structure is also adapted so as to be accessible to children of varying physical abilities, including for instance children with disabilities, such as by having at least one platform configured for access from a wheelchair or other mobility device and incremental adjustments in elevation that may be navigated by a child with limited mobility. Embodiments of the climbing structures are assembled from a plurality of components, which can be connected together in a variety of configurations to provide custom modular structures.
Wall-traversal amusement attraction
An amusement attraction features a wall structure, a respective set of illuminable handholds distributed over a wall surface of at least one upright wall of the structure, a floor surface residing adjacent to the upright wall on a side thereof faced by the wall surface, and one or more detection devices operable to detect landing of a participant on the floor surface during attempted traversal of the wall surface. A controller is operable to illuminate the handholds in different colour-coded patterns. Each pattern includes illumination of “authorized” handholds in a first colour, illumination of “prohibited” handholds in a second colour, and illumination of “targeted” handholds in a third colour. In a game-play session, participants are tasked with grasping of the targeted handholds while traversing the wall structure, with penalties applied for detected landing of participants on the floor surface and gripping of prohibited handholds.
