Wearable device systems and methods for guiding physical movements
11007406 · 2021-05-18 · ·

A system includes wearable devices positioned on a subject in different locations. Each wearable device includes motion sensors that measure the subject's movement in three dimensions. The motion sensors generate raw sensory data as the subject performs a physical movement. A data filter is selected based on a condition of the subject and a designated movement corresponding to the physical movement, and used to convert the raw sensory data into formatted data. A level of compliance of the physical movement with a movement model for the designated movement is determined by applying comparative modeling techniques to the formatted data and the movement model. Real-time feedback is delivered dynamically to the subject by the wearable devices during the performance of the physical movement based on the level of compliance. The movement model can be generated, and the comparative modeling techniques can be selected, based on the condition of the subject.

Systems and methods for real-time data quantification, acquisition, analysis, and feedback

This disclosure relates to systems, media, and methods for providing near-instantaneous feedback from real-time motion sensor data. In an embodiment, the system may perform operations including loading at least one target motion trigger. Disclosed embodiments may receive real-time sensor data from the first motion sensor detachably fixed to a user. Additionally, disclosed embodiments may include calculating a motion profile based on the real-time sensor data, the motion profile describing a multi-dimensional representation of acceleration of a motion performed by the user. Disclosed embodiments may also include comparing the at least one target motion trigger to the calculated motion profile to determine if the motion performed by the user corresponds to the target motion. Further, disclose embodiments may include transmitting, based on the comparison, an instruction to provide an alert to a user.

MODULAR ELECTROMAGNETIC DRIVE FOR FITNESS APPLICATIONS
20210111646 · 2021-04-15 ·

A modular motor drive for use in fitness equipment includes a switching circuit having switches and that is responsive to switching control signals by selectively reconfiguring the switches to control supply of electrical energy to a motor of an exercise device according to the switching control signals. The motor drive further includes an interface coupleable with an application control board of the exercise device. Responsive to a first switching control signal, the switching circuit configures the plurality of switches to drive the motor of the exercise device. Responsive to a second switching control signal corresponding to electric braking of the motor, the switching circuit configures the plurality of switches to stop driving the motor of the exercise device.

DETECTING THE END OF HIKING ACTIVITIES ON A WEARABLE DEVICE

Disclosed embodiments include wearable devices and techniques for detecting the end of hiking activities. By accurately and promptly detecting the end of hiking activities automatically, the disclosure enables wearable devices to accurately calculate user performance information when users forget to start and/or stop recording a hiking activity.

Game ball locating system

A game ball locating system includes a ball with in internal MEMS module that communicates with transceivers positioned about the periphery of a playing field. A wireless radio frequency barrier is positioned below the playing field boundary, i.e., the sidelines and goal lines. The MEMS module includes a gyrometer and accelerometer that determine when the base ceases motion. The MEMS further measures signal strength emanating from the radio frequency barrier to determine when the ball crosses the playing field boundary. In either event, a controlling computer activates the transceivers, which transmit a signal to the MEMS module and the computer calculates the exact position of the ball.
